Politics / Re: Obama's Message To Nigeria And Africa by landis(m): 12:44pm On Nov 05, 2008
GOD will give nigeria our own obama someday

Obama did not produce himself.

The system did.

Bankole is only working according to the system.

If you were there in Nigeria, you will do same.
Politics / Re: Naval Officers Beat Up A Lady And Stripped Her - Watch Video by landis(m): 12:33pm On Nov 05, 2008
On the third of november 2008 on Muhri Okunola Street, victoria Island Lagos, the traffic was chaotic. A young lady (Uzoma Okere) driving home from work didn't move her vehicle out of the way of a millitary convoy on time, resulting severe beatings by armed Nigerian Navy men. The convoy consisted of Rear Admiral Harry Arogundade's personal Navy saloon car and his pilot truck, consisting of 6 armed bodyguards. The body guards in the process physically beat up several Price WaterHouse Coopers staff and destroyed cameras that were filming the event as it unfolded. The video clip was recorded from the PricewaterHouseCoopers office on a personal camera.

Rear Admiral Harry Arogundade should be made to retire and sent to 5yrs in prison.

I bet you this would not happen again!

where are the fiery Lawyers?

where are the National Assembly?

Sad Country indeed.
Politics / Re: USA: Shape Of Things To Come. by landis(m): 12:18pm On Nov 05, 2008
I simply think that Obama won because of his values, smartness, intelligence, calm nature and the condition US is in now. Otherwise, he wouldnt have gotten much votes from blacks not to talk of hispanics and whites,

You are dead wrong. The stats are clear, very clear.

95% Blacks voted for him.

66% Hispanics voted for him

66% new voters voted.

Now, imagine above was the other way around. Mccain would have one.
Politics / USA: Shape Of Things To Come. by landis(m): 10:41am On Nov 05, 2008
I would not be surprised if USA Presidency in the years to come is shared between BLACKS and HISPANICS.

It appears these two GROUPS if united are in the majority.

The whites that moved to AMERICA from EU have boxed themselves into a corner.

Politics / Re: Foreigners Now Rob Freely On Nigerian Highways by landis(m): 10:31am On Nov 05, 2008
thanks Jakumo.

It is indeed HIGHWAY to HELL in a country with $60billion external reserve.
Politics / Re: Can Nigeria Put An Immigrant In Aso Rock? by landis(m): 10:28am On Nov 05, 2008
AFAIK:

NOW THAT HE'S WON MANY WHITES ARE BRINGING IN HIS WHITE BLOOD . I WONDER HOW THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SPELT OUT IF HE LOST . BY THE WAY HIS WIFE AND KIDS ARE SURE BLACKER THAN ME AND SO IS HE AND I DON'T SEE ANY PLACE IN FORMS WHERE THEY GIVE YOU "MULATTO'" AS CHOICE OF ETHNIC ORIGIN undecided
BIG DEAL JERRY RAWLINGS WAS HALF WHITE AND THERE IS NO KNOWN LAW AGAINST THIS IF THE PERSON IS NIGERIAN NATIVE OR NATURALISED . IN FACT MANY NIGERIANS WILL BE OVERJOYED AT SUCH AN AUDACITY I WILL
NIGERIANS CAN BE SO SELF- EFFACING cry TRUTH IS THAT MOST NIGERIANS GO TO THE UK TO "BECOME COMFORTABLE" AND PROBABLY TO QUALIFY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS . THERE IS NO SUCH AMBITION I GUESS undecided

Both parents need to be BLACK for you to be BLACK.

Truth is most MULLATO kids dont get accept by the whites(why I dont know), they naturally turn to the other side.

What if his father was white and mother black. Will you all still calling him BLACK?

I understand that black have inferiority complex(due to year of slavery, colonialism) so they latch to every possible sign to give them hope.

Above all, Obama has done well. Congrats.!
Politics / Re: African Rules The World by landis(m): 10:16am On Nov 05, 2008
African rule the world.

last time I checked. Africans are still drowing swimming to EU.

Africa still ravage by war, rapes, poverty.

Thats not a sign of people that rule the world.

I congratulate Obama, but we should not be-cloud our view.

Travel / Re: Building A Rapid Mass Transit System (Metro-Rail) In Lagos by landis(m): 9:25am On Nov 05, 2008
Yes, we can. It is not magic but

1. where is the POWER to run the metro system?

2. where is maintenance culture to keep it working?

3. we dont even have 24hours constant supply of NEPA.

We cannot even maintain LAGOS-IBADAN highway and now you want to dabble into metro.

A black president in the White House . Unbelievable and I am completely out of my head over this !! smiley
As things stand the only radical change that can happen to the UK is the change of power into the hands of BNP as their economy is crumbling around accusation of immigrant overpopulation. Can it ever happen that a black person let alone an immigrant can find his/her way into 10 Downing ? Not in a thousand years I think.

Obama is not black but 'MULLATO'.mixed race.

USA is owned by BLACKS as much as whites. They both started the country together after wiping out the RED-INDIANS.

UK is purely owned by white like Sub-Sahara Africa is purely own by blacks.

I love Britain. It is where I was born and bred. Do you have an problem with that? grin grin

If you want to take the words of a few blogs to conclusively decide that Britain hates immigrants then that is your own prerogative. Furthermore I believe you are in the USDo you think America would even exist as it is today without record numbers of Britons emigrating. Think before you speak on that.

there you go!

why do you put sapele in your profile?

And why are you in nairaland chat forum?
Foreign Affairs / Re: What Will Tommorow Look Like by landis(m): 11:02pm On Nov 04, 2008

lepashandi:

You are all goats. If someone is picked up for questioning to aid an investigation, you all start blabbing and saying he has been arrested. Hey fools, there is a difference between someone invited for questioning to aid an investigation and someone arrested for committing a crime.

don't you all get it? Ha!

It is either you ignorant or in denial.

Nigerian Law states that nobody must be held without his wishes with 48hours without being charge to court.

Means:

1. If they pick you up for questioning you must be left alone after 48hours or be charged to court.

2. If they arrest you, you must be left alone after 48hours or be charged to court.

3. if ANYONE(father, Boyfriend, girlfriend, armed robber, kidnapper etc) hold you for more than 48hours, they have also breach this LAW.

It is meant to safe guard citizen from EVIL people like yaradua.

But alas, nobody is SHOUTING. NO RIOTS on the street.

It is 'online journalists' now: IT COULD BE YOU TOMORROW.

But alas, we are bogged down by inept and corrupt leadership.

my heart goes to ordinary people of congo, they have become pawns in this evil game.

YES and even till end of time.

Problem: We all run away from Nigeria and we expect the 'scums' in government to make things better.

We want a change but within the comfort of our abode in US/EU etc.

How many of you have condemn the arrest of 'elendu reporter'?

We are a nation of dreamers.
Politics / Re: Speaker Bankole Is More Corrupt Than Patricia Etteh - Keyamo by landis(m): 5:24pm On Oct 29, 2008
Bankole is a guy who was educated in UK univerisities - Reading and oxford, went for a certificate course at havard in Public finance 3 years ago and now allegedly looting public finance

what does this suppose to mean?

Queen of England stole all the resources in AFRICAN Colony and called it 'common-wealth'

I dont expect anything less who studying in the same Queen University.

“One morning that I needed to cash money from the bank with my Access Bank visa card, I spotted the faulty machine. I discovered that each time I withdrew money my account would not be debited, so I just kept on withdrawing.
“But each time I withdrew some money, my account was credited again. I was always scared, but I would collect it, rush back to the banking hall and re-credit my account. I did this several times that I could not even remember.”
When Ehimea sensed the looming danger, he cleverly transferred about N12 million to his friend, Ighodaro Osahon’s, account at GT Bank, Benin, for safe keep, and hired the services of one solicitor identified as Mr. Edokpaigbe Edobor to fight his cause. He was paid N50,000 for his legal services

These boys should be FREED with only N5,000.00.

This would send signals to the bank to ensure they have proper IT security in place.
Career / Re: Should I Quit My Bank Job For Masters In Uk? by landis(m): 10:25am On Oct 29, 2008
bro, hmm, i actually did my masters in heriot-watt but came back to nigeria this year, i aint advise u to goto UK if u don't have the full cash to take u through because when i was in uk,i didn't have a single job throughout, all i was doing is washing plates sometimes and also doing steward jobs in stadia across UK just to get some tokens to take care of little expenses,

thanks for your candid write-up.

I just wondered when will AFRICANS learn and improve their own country.

Our grand father and father did exactly same thing: washing plates to pay school fees in UK/US.

Second Generation after, we still doing same thing: sign of backwardness.

There should be LAW, if you dont have Master and Bsc from Nigerian University:

You cannot become HEAD of Department in both Governement, Public, or Private companies.

This will force MANY to stay home for Master/Bsc and DEMAND quality from our Uni.

Ofcourse there could be 1yr exchange programme to OPEN our worldview.

.just maybe your post may have had a positive effect on those people queueing up at the British embassy in their droves trying to get their visas sorted out, so much so that they give up

yeah yeah, there you go again.

why cant you LEAVE UK for the Queen?

why do you still put Sapele in your location?

Your Queen deserves all the AFRICANS in UK: she after all stole and still stealing their wealth.

And to deceive 'the poor africans' further, your Queen calls it: Commonwealth but its only common in her land.'

another venture to steal money.

This fellow should be send back to Nigeria if this is all he can think of.

They should rather create online-form in their website, if you nigerian and want to be counted, simply fill it.
