Hello LadyG and great NAIRALANDERS,

Please advise. I have a conference to attend in the US in about a month but the next available appointment date I see on my application is September. Or am I looking at the wrong schedule? What do I do?

Thanks so much.

Please guys what is the next available next? Because I am seeing September. Thanks.

[Qquote author=iRyan post=67193637] I don't think it will be shifted. The holiday they will observe will be the Muslim El fitri on June 15...
My cousin's interview is on the same date.[/quote]

Thanks you so much @LadyGuinivere. To confirm your thought,YES I got married during the course of a US visit. Just so you could have more information to advise. Thanks alot for any other heads up. I really appreciate your time.

LadyGuinivere:

I always advocate for seekers to read a couple of transcripts. Only then would answers make sense.
Usually, the vos don't ask for documents. There have been exceptions however. The only thing I can say is give them a copy of any document that supports any assertion you make.
That may include the wedding cards, your international passport and details of your spouse.
Note however, the documents they need is not as important as the issue of how you got to the US ab initio.
If you went for a visit then decided to get married, I would advise you not to tar your family 's record by inviting them cos they too will have a tall assumption of immigrant intent to over come
Finally it's more about their ties than about you. Though the above point still counts

Hello Great People. It is close to a month now yet no email from Sheffield. The last email I got was that they couldn't reach a decision in 15 days though I paid for priority service. Please what do you suggest I do? Thanks.

Thanks alot @Alpha77. So kind of you.

Alpha77:
You can check your application status on UKVI site with a TLS reference number that starts with M instead of normal GWF.
I just checked mine few minutes ago. I have been trying GWF but never work just discovered that the TLS ref number works on UKVI site.

Dear Gurus in the house! I applied for a visit visa and paid for a priority service on July 20. Got the general confirmation from Sheffield the following day. I understand that priority service usually takes 5 working days. After 5 working days, I contacted the UKVI by call and email but got a generic response.

What do you suggest? What is the next step? Tomorrow makes it 15 working days. I paid for priority service.

Thank you guys!

Dear Ekpotek, please do you know the current fee for 6 months UK visa using Ikeja as VAC? Thanks alot.

ekpotek:

You must sufficient amount to show that you can afford this trip on you own. So do the math. Asking someone to transfer an amount into your account may be viewed as money lodgement by the ECO to get the visa. Since its a summer school, the organizer should send you a sponsorship letter. Check back through the thread and you will find an example of such a letter.

You can state that using the additional information section in the form but you still have to come back to Nigeria after April training then return again for May.

Thank you @JustWise. Bless you.

salsera:

Have you even started the application, there is space for extra information in the form.

It doesn't matter how many times the training is in the year, do you intend to stay in the Uk till the very last training?

Doesn't your NGO have a HR dept? They should the hotel booking as well as giving you all an official letter detailing the training dates and its relevance to your organisations objectives.
We are presuming they are the one's sponsoring right?

I could do protocol work one-off for your NGO if they need it.....for a fee grin

So if you have these many questions now how is it that others have gone for the training in previous years?
If this is not the first time , it should be a simple case of wash, rinse and repeat

@justwise....see what I mean

Dear Salsera,

The last training we attended is now over a year and different people have assumed new responsibilities that's why.

We don't intend to stay till the end of all the trainings due to cost and logistics.

You could be considered for a freelance Protocol Officer.

Thanks.

Something doesn't add up here, you are going for a training that starts in April and finish when? Finished in April and another one starts in May then October? Or the same training starts in April till October with break in between?

@JustWise : Many thanks.

Yes, for instance a training and testing program starts on April 19 and ends on 21st of the same month. While another is scheduled on May 22 and ends on 24. Do we have to show evidence for flight and hotel for the two at the same time? We just would like to know if there is a way to reflect that on the this application we are about to submit.

Thanks for your patience. God bless you!

Unless the training is one of those ones that you must do exams /tests in the country that certifies.

Nevertheless something doesn't add up.

Salera: It does. What I wanted to know as the new team leader is :we have different trainings scheduled at different months; the question is, is there a way of reflecting that in the new application? That's all. Nothing much. Thanks.

If some of the attendees have traveled to the UK before for the training then all the info you need will come from your HR depart or those who have gone before, they should be able to tell you about documents your NGO gave them and documents from the training provider from the UK

@JustWise thanks for your kind response.

The challenge here really is : How do we reflect in our applications that the training schedules are spaced out? That's one in April, May and October. They are taking place at different months. How do we go about booking for hotels and reflect the same in the application? Thanks

Is this NGO a local one or an international one with a branch in Nigeria?

Dear Justwise, thanks for responding to this.

The NGO is a local one but has membership status with few international NGOs.

I will be looking forward to your helpful note here.

Thanks Bro.

@justwise @OGreene and Great People here!

I need your best insights. OK, here we go!

I work with an NGO and we are series of trainings lined up for the year all in London.

One of the trainings will come up April, another in May and last one sometimes October.

Some of the attendees had travelled to the UK before. For others, it will be their first training in the UK.

Please how do we go about this? In terms of applications, flights and hotels booking?

Thanking you in anticipation of your helpful insights!

Cheers.
