I guess that's where we have the origin of most of the problems with christianity - denominations. Some of them are tilted towards the right, some to the left, some are just in the middle, neither . . . nor. Denominations are the origins of doctrines, and some of them claim as if they are the only 'true' christians; while others practise different arts and acts. For me, I have chosen NEVER to be too close to any denomination. I'll attend the church, serve God, give to the church and the poor, be good to my fellow men, etc. I have noticed that most of these churches preach righteousness without morality. The so called christians can sleep with other members of the church who are not their wives and still claim they are deacons and elders. The ladies can abort with impunity and still be choir leaders and praise and worship singers. The pastor can build a mansion with the tithes and offerings and settle the elders. Morality is a prerequisite to righteousness, my dear! You cannot be adjudged righteous until you have been examined successfully in the school of morality. Many of these denominations are for completely personal gains. Period! Fine, God calls people. But, how can we confirm that God called the millions of pastors we have in Nigeria today. I can't count how many churches are on my street alone not to talk of the area, town, city, state. Unemployment is another reason we have many denominations. |

I can't imagine people still fall for such crap as this! Absolute scam! People should check up their business office at Muri Okunola. There's nothing like that there. |

@Poster. The only people who have not had a dose of Arik's consistently and continuously deterioriating customer service are those who do not fly local or international, because as long as you fly around Nigeria or outside, you're most likely to fly Arik. I have had several experiences with them too, but this is the worst I ever heard and it's worh a lawsuit, IMHO. I was suppossed to attend a meeting in Lagos in August from Port Harcourt, only to get to Lagos and I was told that my luggage was left behind in Port Harcourt, because I did not identify the bag. As usual, I was not the only one affected. Not to talk of several hours of flight delays without the slightest apology from Arik. Sometimes in September, I had to miss a LOS-ABV flight because it was rescheduled from 18.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs and I was outside Lagos State then. My recommendation is that you run an advert in a popular newspaper and hire a young lawyer seeking relevance. That migh teach them a lesson. I also believe FAAN is giving Arik some undue advantage and leverage over other airlines. For instance, Arik is usually the first airline to fly to Lagos, Abuja and PHC from most airports. This gives persengers little or no choice. We need to give Aero Contractors, Air Nigeria, and even the smaller ones such as Dana Air, Chachangi the same level playing ground to do business. Employees like Ms Molokwu should be selling cray fish in Ogbaru market in Onitsha. They wasted money going to school, I believe. |

@GoldStar59. Your post seems to me as if your wife has not done any kind of business before. If this is right, I will not advise you to start the business with N1MM, even if that's the case, she can import ladies' cloths, dresses, jewelries, bags, shoes, underwears, Ankara, Adire etc from neighbouring countries and states. I can recommend Ghana, Togo, Kano and Abeokuta. This way, she starts the business with little capital, learn to climb the rung, makes as many mistakes as she can, learn from the mistakes and become a real time business woman. Then, she can begin to travel to Dubai, London, China, India, etc. I gave some money to a female friend last year, and she began to go to Togo. Now the business has done so well that she does not need to search for jobs after her youth service. Her business has more than tripled in a short while. I recommend starting small and learning and growing. 2 Likes |

Though I commend you for the thinking, I think your model is more of a mirage than a reality. I know Ikeja well and I believe N300 for a football match won't fly, except with some addition. I live in PH and in the heart of Woji where you have all the oil magas, big boyz, 'militants', the only viewing center where they charge N200/N300 is at YKC and patronage is low. Security is tight with AC and stick meat. I think you should be more realistic, look at attracting more people for less, maybe something like N100/N200. |

@Poster. You need to have an understanding of human emotions. Bosses sometimes are like that, and you may not have as many choices as you would love to. There are no jobs and some may even love their jobs so much that they don't want to quit. Your girl friend needs to understand what makes her manager wicked or callous. Do they share the same office? Do they share the same cars? Do they run the same projects? etc. If the relationship is just a matter of manager to reports, she should keep the guy at an arms length. She could make the guy know how she feels if the relationship is more than just manager-reports without complaining. My manager shared his experience with his former manager with me one day, and I think it's a smart way to communicate to your manager. It was during the annual appraisal and rating exercise and when asked to rate himself (even though he was a top talent), he rated himself as 3- (least, on probation). It sent a clear message to the proud that something was amiss. It may work with some, but may not work with all managers. She might need to combine her efforts with prayers. |

@ It's cute asking for what you wanted and NEEDED. What's the essence of a 'dumb-babbie' gift you either never wanted or really needed as a 'surprise gift'? The fact that a guy doesn't know exactly what you want or need at specific points in life does not mean the guy does not love you or you're not meant for each other. I mean, your husband could have bought you an encyclopaedia, a novel, a book or something else as an avid reader. He could have 'surprised' you with a trip to the Bahamas for your birthday. He could have bought you a very beautiful dress and you'll still have loved it. But, you specifically wanted and needed a Kindle. Period. I think your friend is on the extreme. She needs to understand that men are not gods. |

@Poster. I can get you Pampers (of all sizes and types) in Nigeria. I work with one of the biggest distributors in Africa and I can guarantee you'll get the best prices. You can also benefit from many promotions being run if you buy from us. Currently, I'm in the South-South part of Nigeria. My mobile number is +234(0)8056203005. |

If it were Pampers, I would have bought immediately. As a piece of advice, talk to top stores and supermarkets directly. |

I am a sales manager of one of the foremost and I interact with customers (Sole distributors, Sub distributors, Wholesalers, etc.) of all of the foremost FMCG companies real time daily. I work with Procter & Gamble and I'm located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Investing in distributorship is worth it if you're interested in making real time money and employing people too. You may call me on 08056203005 for details on availability, trade margins and discounts and which is best, promotions, etc. I will advise you to patronise only the fast moving products in case you're a starter. Products like Ariel, Klin, Omo, Pampers, Always, Blue Band, etc are hot cakes and give high ROI. 3 Likes 1 Share |

You may call 08056203005 for P&G distributorship. |

Some of these products include Pampers (both local and imported) diapers, Ariel and Bonux detergents, Always sanitary pads, Vicks throat drops, etc. These products are household names and many of them are clear market leaders. I will link you up with the distributors who get the products directly from P&G and will sell to you. I have seen people move from grass to grace and from grace to the throne in this business. |

@Poster. I think it makes business sense to invest in an established market, where you're not exposed to some unreasonable and high risks, though the ROI is sky high. I know a business where the ROI is about 3% per month, and your capital is secure. The products are 'VERY fast moving consumer goods'. You will be a major distributor of the products in a particular part of the country, and you will be the only appointed distributor in that location. You will be supported with managers, who act as consultants and advisors and will provide professional advice for the business. Currently, I know of people who sell about 20 to 30 million naira worh of these products monthly, and they get about 5% trade discount and 2% logistics margin. Your net profit will be about 3% per month. If you're interested, you may call +234(0)8056203005 for more enquiries or guidance. |

Liverpool FC is definitely having a bad season. Currently, the team stands 7th on the EPL table, having played 18 matches with only 8 wins. They have drawn 3 matches and lost 7, and today's loss to Portsmouth made things worse than they were. Initially, most people thought it was the absence of key players (especially Gerrard and Torres), but events unfolding have proved that the issue is much more than that. Even Rafa doesn't seem to be sure of the real reasons the former champions are sinking. My question is 'If you were Rafael Benitez, what will you'? |

Hot Businesses indeed!!! ID Card printing ![]() Online marketing may be good for some people, but not for all, especially with loads of online scams, poor internet connectivity and lack of access. I was thinking hot businesses will be haulage, entertainment, hospitality and stuff. |

I once decided to transfer all my accounts with GT Bank to another bank, because of irregularities and their ability to respect customers. Like you pointed, GT Bank used to be the foremost Nigerian bank, especially in terms of excellent customer service and trust. However, those days are long gone. Money gets withdrawn from customers' accounts (not on the ATM) and they keep turning people around. They don't repsect or respond to customer's complaints as before. My friend's GT Bank account was wiped clean recently! After complaining to the branch where her account is domiciled, she was asked to write to the HO in VI. After expending much time and energy, she got fed up and allowed the case to get laid. I think one of the problems is that there are too many CS now. A lot of the employees are contract staff, and rarely possess ownership for the bank. Many of their hires are rogues and might have been planted to perpetrate evil. Now, I check my account as many times as possible and insist on cheques and cash transactions. No more ATMs for now, until their 'chip and pin' cards are certified secure. One should stop losing hard earned money to fraudsters. |

You don't have to wait for a coy to advertise before you submit your resume. Most (if not all) of these multinationals have career websites and if you're confident (and I'm sure you are), you can submit your resume. They may call you up when there are vacancies. @prettyblaz. Yeah. Schlumberger invited 9 people for a pre-screening test on Friday, 12th June, and the test took place at their office at 17/19, Idowu Taylor Street, VI, Lagos. There was a change in venue and this was communicated by phone calls. Only 7 of us actually wrote the test. I wsh us all the best in our quest. |

The pre-screening test takes place at their corporate head office at Adeola Hopewell in Victoria Island. The date is tomorrow, Friday and the time is 2 p.m. |

Hi Peeps, I got an e-mail from Schlumberger yesterday inviting me for a job pre-screening test. Did any other person in the house receive this mail? And more importantly, could you guys please drop lines of the structure of the aptitude test? Feel free to contribute as the test is slated for Friday, 12th June. |

I visited this site: www.smartbuyng.com and they seem to give some quality products and services. Has anyone in the house ever bought and received the items bought by courier? They sell cameras, camcorders, mobile phones, etc. |

I get excited each time I hook up with OAU peeps; guyz and gals. I studied Mathematics and graduated with First Class ![]() Just as Jaru noted, the law of diminishing return sets in most people's penultimate or final year. You need to be prepared for this. I encouraged myself never to drop below the top shot in my department and it happened. I took more courses that all my colleagues. In our final semester, I took 8 insted of 5 courses and some were very challenging. I took about 8 more courses than the average student in my class. I was also the president of my departmental association, and I engaged in some faculty politics and fellowship work. I was also a member of Junior Chamber International, (JAYCEES). I mean, the list goes on. It was much fun and loads of responsibilities. Now, I work as Customer Business Development Manager of a multinational, and the 'dough' comes in consistently. Wetin man go do now? After all the jacking, man must chop now. 1 Like |
