I can't tell you how excited I am. I wanted to buy some used copies from Amazon.com but had problems with payment and address. This is my detailed mail address: |

@ Agathau I want to believe you're expecting to be deployed for the youth corp as much as I am. My university released a list of graduates; prospective corp members for 2008 Batch B a fortnight ago, and specifically indicated that NYSC Batch B is is July 2008. I believe it's true. Be hopeful. But don't sit down waiting for service, Be engaged in something productive and worthwile. I wish you the best. |

Don't limit your chances. If you need business education, then go ahead and get an MBA that is worth it. Does SBS belong to the international community of accredited business schools. How many professors are there in SBS? I mean internationally recognised profs and tutors like Phillip Kotler of Kellogg School of Management in Northwestern University. Experienced, exposed, vast and reputed. How many countries and continents will you visit in the course of the program? If you need education, then get REAL education. Not a mushroom, kangaroo arrangement by some hungry, jobless folks. Later. |

I'm sure you want progress in career path, salary increase and/or international recognition and reputation. These and more are possible reasons you might consider taking an MBA. I'll not stake my hard-earned money into some crap programs. I checked SBS website and it doesn't look it at all. I'll not consider it a choice even if they offer full scholarship. It might be a waste of money, time and life after all. There are much better programs online. You may even consider studying full time or part time abroad. I wish you the best in your career and life. |

Banks usually recruit corp members. Watch out for such adverts. Zenith and Intercontinental Banks has been doing this for some years. Some other banks recruit from the orientation camps. I wish you the best. |

I was just wondering if you ever heard of African Institute of Science and Technology, Abuja? They offer two MSc level courses and at full scholarships. It's international and new. You may check up www.aust-abuja.org for details. |

Yeah. PTDF Overseas Masters Scholarship. The next round of applications will commence in October 2008. |

The era of Siddon look in university admission is over. You better run down to Ife, look for an influential professor who might be able to help you. You might need to look for a prefessor or doctor whose surname tallies with yours or who hails from the same state or town. Just leave your shells and run down. Unna don dey run? All the best o. |

Obviously. The most sought after Nigerian university is Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. End of Discussion. There is no need to debate when there are facts. |

@ Josek, You need your NYSC discharge or exemption certificate in order to b considered for MBA admission. It's a basic requirement. |

Must you go to UNILORIN? Why not consider much better schools where admission is based on merit. Don't be frustrated. Try some other universities, perhaps federal. I graduated with honours, and my parents are not rich. They are not even average. |

Were you offered admission into Agricultural Economics? And you never applied fr the course? You're not alone. Several others have been offered a course they never knew much about or liked, yet they did their best. I did not study Agricultural Economics, but I understand that it is one of the hot cakes in that field. You need to ask questions from your lecturers and senior colleagues in the university about the prospects, and I'm sure you no longer be in the dark. Best wishes and regards. Were you offered admission to Great Ife? |

Some of your fears are true. Most federal universities consider second choice as second choice indeed. They may have to give preference to their first choice candidates. However, to the best of my knowledge, they invite all candidates who indicated them as either first or second choice. From experience, you may have no need to apply to two different federal universities. Consider this: Apply to the same very good university, but choose two different courses. For instance, a typical biological science srudent may apply for Medicine (or Pharmacy) as first choice and Microbiology (or Biochemistry) as second choice. You may apply for Economics as first choice and pick a less competitive course as your second choice. I wish you the best. |

Thanks very much for the great work. I've read Yewande's profile and contributions, and I stand bold to say that she's doing a great work. I'm a First Class OAU Mathematics graduate, and I'm considering taking an MBA in the US by 2010. I'm considering Kellogg or Harvard. I understand how competitive the admission process can be. What would you advise me to add to my credentials before 2010? Do I need to take GMAT more than once? I have some great deal of leadership experience in the university. |

What more do I have to say? I am VERY proud to be a First Class Graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Fose! Fose!! Fose!!! I can never forget the 'White House' experience. The jollof rice at Health Sciences, the amala at Pharmacy and Smokey Old Buka, and all the effizy food joints in New Buka. Omo No Bi Yams o. Whenever you're among other Nigerian graduates, you stand out by default. Great Ife has imparted her rich culture of excellence into all. I wrote an aptitude test recently and more than 90% of those of us who passed are Great Ife Guys. The Recruiting Manager could not hide it this time. He shouted, 'Great Ife Again'. Who still remembers Tsunami? Will exams hold? Mojo Break? November 3rd? Saburi, a.k.a Malcolm X? Dr 3A's? Omo, I gat go do my MBA in Ife? Missed all the Aro in Awo, pretence in Fajuyi, boyishness in ETF, mummymummies in Moremi, iron clad ladies in Sports, and the journey just comes in MOZ. Wetin make I do? Holla to all the agbasis and the opekes o jare. Comrado Jemgbetiele. |

The race will be a lot more interesting if blacks in the States give their wholesome support to Obama. I'm sure it will be a lot of encouragement for a fellow black man and the entire black race. When is the presidential debate coming up? |

First, you need to realise that the test is standard and perhaps a little more challenging than most aptitude tests I have seen and written. The simple truth is that the test does have a cut-off mark (65%), and only those who meet this cut-off mark will eventually be interviewed. Please work hard and I wish you the best. There are 100 questions, and most of them are quatitative reasoning, interpretation of graphs and verbal reasoning including reading comprehension. There are no negative marks awarded so I will advise you to do some educated guessing if necessary. Most probably, the most challenging questions are the interpretation of graphs, and these are the first set of questions. I advise that you do not attempt these questions first. They are not difficult, but could be time-wasting. I'll send the sample exam questions on request. I was not able to attach it to the reply here. I'm sorry for this. You may contact me if necessary. The interviews are rigorous, but you I went through the four of them and passed all! I wish you the best in your aptitude test. |

@ Poster How and when did your friend apply? Kindly let fellow nairalanders know about the application and the test. Thanks. |

I'm of the opinion tha a bird at hand is worth a dozen in the bush. You may continue to process your Masters degree while you work. Most of the search and processing are done online, and since you're a banker, the job may be easier. Youre certainly some miles ahead of your colleagues if you get a higher degree abroad. However, I want to believe that your reason to study is rather too superficial. You only want to get a Masters in order towork in an oil company. Don't limit yourself. Spread your wings, and begin to see yourself soar high. Ensure that your course of choice matches your interests. Retain your job, apply for a sudy leave (perhaps with pay), and get your masters. All the best. |

Hello Bisisexy, I'm sorry you've been meeting and dating the wrong guys. It's reasonable to call it quit with that guy. Obviously, all he wants is a fling and then he grows wings. They're out there in millions and theey're wolves. Be patient. Patience is a virtue. You'll surely get a good gardener-the right man to cherish, love, appreciate, prun and make you the cynosure of all eyes. I wish you the best, dear. |

Relationships thrive better when they are properly defined from the beginning. It is best for you to know what either or both of you want from the relationship. If he/she wants both of you to be friends, then great! If he wants to date, so you could get to know each other, then fine! If, however, he/she wants sex and you don't, take to your heels! There's no point keeping to such a relationship! All the best, pals. |

The FEDERAL Government Negotiation Committee will be meeting with ASUU on May 10. It is believed that the feud which led to the industrial actions shall be resolved then. I pity fellow young Nigerians who have to stay at home for months because of such actions. I hope potential and prospective employers learn to put such into considerations. Some Nigerian undergrads, though brilliant are too old to be undergrads. Let's patiently wait till weekend. I hope the cloud will be clearer then. |

I was in your shoes about a year ago, but I did not get the right information. Now the money is gone into the wind. I'll advise that you invest in something that can turnover the money very fast so that you can start a good medium scale business with it. I am sure you must have heard of some investment scheme such as Wealthsolution, Treasureline, etc. I have tried and tested Wealthsolution! They pay you N30,000 for an investment worth 10,000 in four operational weeks. If you're interested you can check the thread on Business Plan, Amount Payable and Payoffs on Wealthsolution. You'll get your money back in folds! It's tried and trusted. |

I'm not surprised at the replies of some Nairalanders. They're based in Scotland, England, , That's why someone can advise you to start pure water business, start a real estate by purchasing a piece of land with 250000K. It's wise to unserstand that things are different here! Our people are wiser and smarter. |

I talked to someone on the project of fish farming in Nigeria in April and I discovered that one needs about 200K to start a medium scale fish farm. You need to provide a suitable site, security, and make the site accessible. You have a ready market for catfish in Nigeria. You might need to go to fish farms near the site you choose to use eventually to get useful and relevan information from operators of such farms. You may also consider locating your fish farm in an agric settlement whre procuring land is a lot easier. I wish you the best, pal. |
