Education / Re: Why Olusegun Kayode Bello Was Expelled From The Nigerian Law School - Management by Laralag: 9:00am On Jul 27, 2017
I would like to read his side of the story. Even with what I have read I can see that the school is petty.our higher institutions in Nigeria are use to treating students like its in prmary school, they are use to getting yes sir, yes sir left right and center from students. So anybody that challenges tha, its like heaven has fallen. Heaven never fall. This matter no reach expulsion.
It is the continuous management of our school like this that's why we keep churning out timid graduate who dont know their worth

In all honesty, is that the kind of lifestyle you intend living? Tomorrow you'll come complaining when he has 10 children he cannot take ADEQUATE and PROPER care of.

Marriage is not a child's play. Someone accused the present generation of placing money at the top in marriage.

Newsflash: Things are different today. The economy is tough. Standard of living expectations is high. Finance plays a very important role in relationships of the opposite sex.

Yes, one must not be a billionaire before getting married. However, one should have a reasonable amount of resources to live a decent life.

Me I think couple should grow together, economically and other wise, therefore a man doesnt need to own fancy things before marriage from this analogy 150k can can be a bench mark . Saying 450 per month could be unrealistic as only a fraction of the jobs or biz in Nigeria pays that much for starts.
With good management, plan n support from the wife 150 can be enough

It is true that there are lots of mature single sisters in our society today, it is also true that there are loads of single men in our society. could it be that men not settling down is the reason most women are still single. Most of the men we dated as undergraduate migth still be single 10years afer leaving school ( I know a lot). Most men I have asked, excuse boils down to money even though they have jobs.
This brings me to my question how much should a man be earning before he should start thinking of marriage all things being equal.

It could be symptoms ffrom the drug she is taking to help her fertility. Must fertility drugs or supplements comes with its baggage.
Another reason could be that she needs to detox especially since the last time she was sexually active is abt 3years. N this was after a child.
Also please check for infection like uti. Some sti can delay pregnancy.
N lastly pray. It is God that gives children. Dont get it twisted
Family / Re: My Brother Is Forcing Me To Commit Murder. by Laralag: 7:19pm On Jul 09, 2017
Op no matter what, murder is a crime if its not commited in self defence. Apart from it bein a crime and morally and spiritually wrong. Your brother has the rigth to life. My advice is to take your mother away from him, so that while he lives his life the way he pleases your mother can be safe from his trouble.
Again you are not above the law you will waste your life in jail if u carry out your heinous plan.

There are useless men eveywhere old n young, in a sane society laws are in place to curtail such perverts, but not in our own, there is hardly anything u can do especially if its a 1 man biz. U'd have to leave the job, but try and give him a piece of your mind before u do. ( that part can be sweet)

I think d op 's point is tht to address this situation we need to look at the cause n effect. Some women are bullies in their home, emotionally draining the man, this can drive anybody at the receiving end to act in ways they normally will not. I agree that this org should preach peace. U cant be a receiver of peace if u continually project war. Lets say no to violence against men and women in our homes.

[quote author=Dimples182 post=56753585]I don't believe this woman one bit. She is a woman scorned, and her story doesn't sit well with me.
1. The guy according to her story was the cause of her miscarriage, she implied that he beat her until she passed out yet she says she had internal injuries to her arm! Wtf! She should have internal injury to her womb or the body not her damn arm.
2. Why didn't she have the man arrested if he caused her miscarriage through violence?
3. She claims the guy cheated on her but she was dating him in 2014 while his new relationship started the end of last year (July 2016) so how did he cheat on her?

She had an abortion when she knew he wouldn't stay for the sake of the baby. If she was a better woman she wouldn't humiliate herself by sharing her story when nobody asked her. She is an absolutely shameful hater.

I hate women who rain on other women's parade.

Abeg it is clear the guy married the other woman for money. It all seem suspicious when I read their story yesterday. I am not surprise. There are men like this everywhere who knows how to play the rigth card when they see a woman with money

Education / Re: If You Say There Is No God, Let Me Show You My JAMB Result by Laralag: 5:28pm On May 19, 2017
keyboardwarwar:
Hallelujah!!! dear people of nairaland join me thanks my God 4 me.i finished sec. sch. in the year 2012.That was the first time i tried out Jamb examination, then it was a paper base test[with fresh brain, out from the secondary school,as usual i was expected to pass the examination].But when the result came out it was a misery one. As i, score a total marks of 84 with chemistry missing[it come be like say them come dey follow me from my village] grin. but i didn't lose hope! as i proceed to studies OND in computer Engineering and Advance Diploma in Software Engineeering @Lagos.[but as expected my mama used the jamb result to torment my life any time i bleep up or anytime i mention something about university degree.] to cut the long story short! i decided to try out this year jamb examination, but to be sincere! i was so afraid as i have been out of touch with CHEMISTRY,PHYSICS more especially MATHEMATICS so how am i going to pass this examination?. I sold my precious phone[as i didn't have money] just to purchased the jamb pin @ the officially closing day of the registration. Fast forward! i was given monday 15 of may as my examination day.Money to get to the examination centre was another wahala but miraculously the money came,i was checked, got into the examination hall ushered to my exam's system and instruction was given for all the examiners to logged in.I logged in! my time Began to ticked, my heart too began to Beat faster like a Yoruba talking drum.
Where will i start??[That was the question i ask myself cos by this time i didn't know anythings in PHYSICS,MATHEMATICS and CHEMISTRY as English was my only hope]. And the security was so tight! cctv cameras everywhere at the corners of the hall.Fast forward i began to tick my answers on english,i spent like 1hr 30mins to answer questions mainly on English and i,used the remaining 30mins to ticks answers RANDOMLY on CHEMISTRY,PHYSICS and MATHS grin grin[i ticks some answers A,some B some C some D and i will begins ticking from D,C,B,A again all, ignorantly].MY time remaining 3mins to go i pressed S,i said a short prayer of helps from above before pressing another S which means i have submitted my exam, but was not happy at all.

Inside a Bus on my way back home! i overheard a guy said to his friend on phone if his result is not favourable he knew a man who can upgrade his result with a sum of #30,000.I was tempted to make enquiring about this said man. But when i remember that i,didn't have any penny i just kept quiet and said the following prayers.

"Lord Jesus if someone can take a bribe to upgrade someone's result.Lord please take all the Glorys and upgrade my result- Amen".

Surprising when my result came out this is what i score!.....i'm so much happy considering the level of my preparation i, have been away from CHEMISTRY,MATHS,PHYSICS for over 5years nows.

SUCH LUCK IS RARE, but this is the time u av to enrole in after sch class to refresh ur memory, n read plenty for ur post exams otherwise oyo is ur case. The bible says read n pray in this case study hard before praying.

Though I don't support the maltreatment of workers, but the househelp shouldn't act like an ingrate. There's always 2 sides to a story and her complaint leaves so much unanswered. Is it possible that 20 pounds is all she's being paid? Really? By those who took her abroad in the first place?

It takes a lot to take someone abroad and give the person a better life, she should appreciate that. It's not like she had it better in Nigeria, so why should she bite the fingers feeding her over minor dispute.

The hardworking couple went through the stress of bringing her from Nigeria to the UK to help them babysit and keep the home, if she has issues, she should have found a way to table her complaints in a sensible way.

Most of these so-called househelps end up becoming arrogant and disloyal when they start having "london friends".
