I am not talking of forming a State with the SW region but a broad alliance that will counter the one the north is using against the south to dominate southerners and their God given resources. The northerners run the SW seaports and lucratives borders; they own oil wells in the SS they run the South as though it were really theirs. The Saudarna of Sokoto instilled these idea in them.

Really the South must unite and dictate to the north the terms of a shared statehood

Igbos say no to yoruba inclusion. The yorubas should be include with north.

OP! remove yorubas, I rather form alliance with North than yorubas and by the way yorubas are not south, they are simply west.

SS/SE all the way.

Bunch unpatriotic patriots.

Until Buhari kills all their kinsmen, they will continue to threaten.

Even Buhari does not have that power, Buhari will kill all yorubas instead.

Let me ask you O, if people say they dont want to share country with you, how does murder make it better?

Blacks are very daft.

Politics / Evidence Of The Nigeria Army Brutality At Unarmed Biafra Protesters At Aba by lastsec: 11:05am On Feb 12, 2016

Video footage published online by Biafra supporters showed the aftermath of the incident, with the school's playing field set alight by tear gas canisters and the ground stained by what was said to be the blood of those allegedly shot.
An umbrella group of NGOs – the Abia Human Rights Agenda – said at least 10 protesters had died, with the group calling for the army and police to launch an investigation into the incident. In a statement published by Vanguard, it said: "Security agents must restrict themselves to the rules of their engagements in crisis situations."

The incident came the same day Kanu, the UK-based director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob), arrived in handcuffs at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria. He was arrested by the State Security Service (DSS) in Lagos in October 2015 and faces charges of treasonable felony – allegations he denies.

Kanu has become a figurehead for the pro-Biafra movement, which seeks the independence of the Biafran territories forcibly annexed to Nigeria during the British colonisation, which ended in 1960. A Biafran Republic was established in 1967 and reannexed to Nigeria in 1970, following a civil war that claimed between one and three million lives.

Biafra agitation: IPOB, OYC warn against killing of Biafrans

– The Ohaneze Youth Council has condemned the killing of pro-Biafra agitators in Aba

– OYC has threatened to sue security operatives to the international court of justice

– The IPOB has said it will begin to defend itself against security operatives

Following the alleged killing of pro-Biafra agitators in a protest at Aba, the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), has warned that it would drag the security operatives to the International Court of Justice at The Hague.

Condemning the killings and worried by the spate “unwarranted” attacks security operatives, the OYC has said that the people of Biafra have their rights which the Nigeria security agencies are infringing upon.

In the same vein, the Igbo Information Network (IIN) has condemned the killings and accused Nigerian soldiers and police of committing genocide in the southeast.

Ten people were reportedly killed and another 20 injured as a result of the clash between the protesters and security agencies.
The groups lamented the frequent alleged killing of defenseless pro-Biafra members, saying that the security operatives want to “put the nation on fire by the killing of innocent and unarmed citizens.”

The groups urged the Nigerian army and police high command to call their men to order and warn them to stop killing innocent youths of the southeast.

Vanguard reports the directorate of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) said it has adopted self-defence mode as enshrined by the relevant acts and declarations of the United Nations (UN), with effect from Wednesday, February 10.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, February 9, entitled: “Persistent attacks on Biafrans by the Nigerian state: Our rights to self-defence is not activated”, the IPOB explained that if Biafrans commence its self-defence, “let no country or world leader attempt to tag us as terrorists because we are not terrorists, rather we are fighting for our survival and from being exterminated from the surface of the earth.”

According to the statement jointly signed by their spokespersons, Emma Nmezu and Dr Clifford Iroanya, the IPOB vowed that they will henceforth defend themselves with everything and anything necessary to avoid “the continuous killing of our mothers, fathers, and children.”

“This is the time for all Biafrans to rise and defend themselves. We cannot fold our arms and watch anybody kill us the second time after killing over two million of us in 1968. We have fully and totally activated our rights to self defence,” the statement read in parts.

In the same vein, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has issued another warning to the federal government, saying that Nigeria will be made ungovernable if their demand to conduct a referendum in the southeast was not adhered to.
