This is according to SA to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications & New Media, Lere Olayinka.

Read the statement below..

‘A management team from Zenith Bank Plc visited Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, over the involvement of the bank in the funding of the June 21, 2014 governorship election of the governor.

Their visit to the governor followed a reported denial by the bank that it was not part of the funding of the election.

The team was led by an Executive Director, Sola Oladipo. It also had two zonal directors of the bank and the Ado-Ekiti branch manager.

When accosted by newsmen, the ED said they only came to see the governor.

Asked whether the bank really dissociated itself from the claim by the governor that it was part of the funding of the election, Shola could only mutter some inaudible words.

He eventually said the spokesman for the bank was not on the team and could not say anything.

While commenting on the development, Governor Fayose said the bank officials came to beg him over the issue.

“They were begging me and that the matter should not go beyond this level.

I asked them why did they go to the EFCC to tell lies.

Why did they have to lie that money came from the Office of the National Security Adviser? If the money is for me why did they have to link with me what is not.”

An accident happened in Mbiokporo Nsit in Nsit Ibom Local Government of Akwa Ibom State, where two live was lost involving a young boy who was returning from school as at 3pm on Wednesday.

The driver and the front sit passenger where able to escape while the female unknown Corp member couldn’t escape and she was burnt.

Reason for my question, I woke up late one day dat I had to eat around 5:25am..wen I told one of my friends, he was like telling me dat I ate breakfast and not sahur..i had an understanding dat u stopped eating immediately the adhan is called. And as at dat moment, d adhan is yet to be called in my area..so, do I av dat day registered as fasting

Please I want to know when exactly one should stop eating his/her sahur. In a situation where there are like 3 to 4 mosques in your neighbourhood and the athan is called at slightly different times. When the Athan is called, is there a plus or minus number of
minutes for one to stop eating or one must stop immediately the athan is heard. , ?

The Lagos State University have reportedly gifted 160 students of the institution with a total of N4 million. The students were rewarded for making 4.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average and above during the 2015/2016 academic session.‎

The Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, presented the cheques to them on behalf of the school management on Friday, June 17, at the Ojo Campus.

While presenting N25,000 to each student, the VC congratulated them and urged them not to relent their efforts.

He said:-

“We are proud of you, but you must work harder to sustain the grade. Do not relent in your efforts because you were celebrated today.”

The Vice-Chancellor also urged the other students to work harder “to join the success train ‎so that they will also be rewarded.”

Dean of Students Affairs at the institution, Dr. Olufemi Obayori‎ also gave words of encouragement. He said: “To the generality of students here, it is never too late to join the ranks of the chosen. It is possible. You can do it.”

Of the 160 students, 35 were from College of Medicine, another 35 from Faculty of Management Sciences, 32 from Faculty of Social Sciences and 34 from Faculty of Science. Thirteen students were from the Faculty of Education, nine from Faculty of Engineering and two from Faculty of Arts.
