Is university of law a licenced school ? It’s not on the list of licensed school on UKI , I saw Oxford and Cambridge and some others
I didn’t see university of law

I am about applying , someone mentioned here that friend said it’s not cool ,

From my research the courses biz n rest are quite expensive fee and the mail and call I got sounds like a white German man from an agent company working for d school I guess


How do I join the Nigeria community of the school ?

How much is accommodation?

Did u select this campus yourself ?
Is London Bloomsbury still London ?
You know they also have campus in Berlin Germany for some course

Honestly, this depends on the course you want to study, the cap of tution fee u attach to the course u want to study and how long u want to study it.
Also consider if u want to stay back in uk etc

But if ur primary concern is cheap tuition fee, Ulaw has one of the cheapest when compared to other universities.

From your statement, u said the POF sufficient for ur application is 10M.

If this is the case, there is no need to print from when u had 7M as that amount on its own falls short of the 10M u need.

Print from when u had the 10M (which is what u need) and make sure it spans for atleast 28days , with the amount not falling short of 10M in any of those days.

My friend at the University of Law ,Manchester Campus wasnt impressed. In her words , "Ulaw is to shait".

The only advantage is the "not too exorbitant tuition fee and bursary".

Congrats on your visa. Gone through your posts, I wanted to ask. Say I need to show 10mil as proof of funds, and I have 7mil in the account as at 3rd nov. Then in sent 3mil to the account on 4th November from my personal account with another bank, making the 10mil, do I print statement from the 3rd Nov with balance of 7mil as opening balance (this wil show 3mil inflow from my other account), or print from 4th Nov with opening balance of 10mil??

What you need to show as a competent POF is 10M, so u have to print from the 10M opening balance.
Disregard what happened before u got the money (10M)complete so the ECO wont get confused .

Dont do an LLM ooh. The job market for LLM holders is not free flowing and law firms too are rigid.
If u want jobs , try public health or Data analytics.
If you want PhD, do ur LLM.

Hello just wise and other gurus in the house, when printing out my statement of account for my proof of funds, do I print out from the very first day the money was deposited into the account or the next day. Thank you

Print from the day after so that the lump sum deposited in your account will not show.
It is better that way and makes ur application easier to consider.
No lump sum deposit, no red flag, just a regular account with regular transactions.

Sidenote, it would have been better if u made a transaction the day after u made ur deposit (even if it is N500 naira) because from the software that most banks use to generate ur account statement, the dates that will appear on ur statement of account are dates of transaction.

Example:
1)You made a lump sum deposit on the 1st of November

2) the next transaction u make is on the 7th of November

Now, if you try to print your statement from the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,or 6th of November (in order to avoid the deposit of the lump sum u did on the 1st of November to show in ur account statement,
[/color]The starting date that will be on ur statement of account will be 7th of November as ur account didn't record any activity on the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th and 6th. [color=#990000]
In other words, u can not see:
-N0 transaction on 2nd November
-N0 transaction on 3rd November
-N0 transaction on 4th November
-N0 transaction on 5th November
-N0 transaction on 6th November. In essence, those dates will not appear on ur account statement because u had no transaction on those days. So, nothing to capture.

This means that ur 28 days statement computation/counting will be affected if u decide not to show the lump sum deposit as 2nd to 6th November (5 important days in the life of your application) will not be captured in ur statement of account.

In the alternative u can download a qrcode scanner from ur app store.
Or

I feel the ECOs are monitoring chats / current happenings and tightening the noose accordingly.

Now , the ukvi rule on POF is clear on the amount needed to prove that a primary applicant has enough funds to take care of both himself/herself and the dependents. Emphasis on "take care of both himself/herself and the dependents[/color]". so what people now do(which I don't fault or Judge them) is example:

If a family of 4 needs (for example) Bulk N30million for POF but they only have 20 million which can only cater for 3 persons. The primary applicant will first travel to UK on the N20 million POF(which is the money the family has).

When the primary applicant gets to the UK, he will then transfer the N20 million down to the dependents in Nigeria and they will then use it for their own visa application thereby circumventing the requirement of providing bulk N30 million for POF.

So in the current case, that is the suspicion of the ECO and the reason they requested for the primary applicant's account statement FROM THE TIME HE APPLIED FOR HIS OWN VISA, ENTERED THE UK TILL the time the wife applied for visa.[color=#990000]

On issue 1, u will see 2 different provisions for you to upload them separately.

On issue 3, I used Ikeja TLS last week and the process was seamless.
I booked my appointment by 11pm the day before and the crowd wasn't much during my biometrics.

No,English Proficiency is different from reference letter.. Check your school what they require for English proficiency( it could be either WAEC or NECO oor IELTs) I hope this help to some extent

I know that if they haven't started processing it, You can cancel your application and get a refund(but u will then need to get a new cas as ur cas is only valid for one application).
However, pls, Try a paid call or a paid email and appeal to them.

Madam, what I said is very correct. Many schools have different policies on acceptance of WAEC, payment method, payment by use of proxy etc and he should contact his school to confirm what is applicable to his school.

If tomorrow, he has issues in getting acknowledgement of tuition fee deposit, will u resolve it for him
will the school accept his excuse that someone on Nairaland adviced him to pay through a proxy

Don't push someone to make a mistake that u will be no where to resolve.

Pls I need advice and opinion

I got an offer from Coventry University for a January start date but I’m still waiting for London Metropolitan because of cheaper tuition though I applied for LMU even before Coventry. Now the issues are:

1. It’s almost a month now since I applied to LMU without response though typically their response should have been around10-15 days as stated on their website. Should I be worried?

2. Can I fund my account while waiting so the 28 days can continue reading even before I pay deposit to apply for CAS?

3. My elder brother is in London, can he pay my deposit in pounds over there or do I need to pay from my own account?

4. I hope time is not against me to go through all the processes of CAS and Visa application for the January start date.

On issue 3. It is better u pay with your own account or confirm from your school that u are allowed to pay through a proxy(your brother).
Many schools are strict on this and will never record a payment for you if it was made through someone else. Goodluck.
