I applied for a canada trv (online) 30th June (no feedback yet)...In the process, i heard about the express entry route and decided to join the band wagon. I wrote my ielts august 19 (8.5,8.5,8,8 ) Got my wes ECA on the 5th of October. CRS 467
Please i would like to know it is okay to dive into the pool considering my trv application is still pending?
I look forward to kind feedback.

Please i need guidiance on the filling of my EE profile as i am currently stucked and unable to edit my profile after submission

1) After filling the EE profile i was deemed ineligible despite the fact that i used the Come to Canada tool and i was deemed eligible

2) I indicated a settlement fund of CAD 22900 for family of 4

3) I did not see any place to fill the details of my other dependants (Children) except for my wife

4) I did not see any place to input my WES Ref number though i saw a place for IELTS TRF No and i have inputed it.

5) After ifilling the form, i clicked a " TRANSMIT INFOMATION" button and my information are now locked and uneditable.

6) What have i not done or done wrongly?

Also, I've been to the Republic of Benin in the past, do I need to go there to get the Police clearance as well?

Can I dump my expired passport that I used for the trip to republic of Benin? No other meaningful visa on it. I don't want to stress myself for a clearance from the country since I have a new passport.

I have some few questions to ask please... I'm an nurse here in Nigeria, under 30years but I have not been working for awhile due to the lack of employement state in Nigeria. I can only prove work experience of 6months, but husby has been working for years so he can prove years of employement of more than 10years but he will soon pass the 39years age range( meaning if he doesn't apply b4 he clocks 40, his points will be reduced, thereby reducing his chances of applying).. Please, who do think should apply knowing that I dont have the required experience needed and my husby's age will soon be above the age range 39 in less than 6months.. unless your husband has a masters degree and can achieve very high scores in all the IELTS components, you will struggle to get enough points to qualify, given his age. This program requires experience in a very limited number of occupations and slots fill up very quickly.
tough ....... you need at least one year of continuous work experience in a qualifying occupation, which you don't have. Even with one year experience, you are unlikely to score high enough to qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker stream and might have to look into getting a provincial nomination.

Like so many other people resident outside and far away frm lagos, I got a contact to help me submit at Alagbon. Get d forms and properly thumbprint it( u may use a police near u or DIY)...
Someone on this forum once shared d colored forms. the one i used was black n white. ...pls search d thread for d forms. anyone that has it can pls help pm it to him/her.
I paid higher @7.5k but for me, it was cheaper overall.

my daughter was being chatty anyway and so he took the cue and was pointing out letters and objects in d room for her to name.
My son was less chatty.....screamed his lungs out while being examined.
Noting to worry about kids shaaaa......nothing at all.

How old is the young child? Children under the age of 5 don't do any blood test, the doctor will just ask u if the child has any ailment. Nothing serious don't fret

my kids ,both less than 5, only had physical examination @ prime hospital.
Though thinking back, the guy asked me their medical Hx and stylishly chked their vision & Development ( by pointing out stuff for them to identify)...
No blood tests were done.

I think its nomination itself, not NOI. The nomination had already been applied for before the OINP was placed on hold, and he received it today, so I think he has the extra 600 points now, just want to know whether to proceed with his study permit application or withdraw.

The thing is, I have a study permit application that is ongoing (haven't done medical yet) and I'm wondering, while that is going on, can I submit application for PR when ITA lands? Is there any law or otherwise that prohibits that (running the two applications together)?

Truth be told, many cultures used to be like ours: children as pension scheme. But our system has refused to move on or develop. The state ought to work out a welfare system for "poorer" women over 60 and "poorer" men over 62/65. But our politicians have no appetite for it.

If done, their children will have more disposable income to invest in their own nuclear family & and business/shares, bills, etc.

But right now, aside parents, lots of aspiring/middle class Nigerians have to support uncles, aunties, grandparents, parents, cousins, nephews/nieces, younger or even older siblings. Medical bills, school fees & even "chop money". It prevents wealth accumulation & investment.

Individuals are shouldering the burden of the state/govt.

It promotes dependency on the few well off people & perpetuates overall poverty.

Giving to relatives should be done willingly, not because economic circumstances dictate.

On the other hand, in Nigerian climes, people raise their kids without any welfare assistance from the state, aside maybe giving babies some free vaccines.

EagleEyes259: @OP, I am not castigating you for what happened but I will share my view from a guy's perspective even though I do not know the nitty gritty of what transpired!

At that time, it appears you didn't know what you wanted or you have realised your impression/opinions about relationship were 'wrong' in the light of experience or maturity! You might think the manner you said NO was the best but your disposition at that time would have killed his ego, bruised his HEmotions and zapped his happiness! Over time you have come to realise his value when you have 'lost' him.

You need to know he is not exactly the same person you used to know based on the lesson he has learnt from you and others. You have to also know you are not the same person he knew then because your views have changed, you have learnt lessons from other guys and you are now *hotter/hottest*.

There is no harm in trying to get him back but the following are possible:

1. The guy uses his *church* mind and tells you it is over between both of you. Hence, there would be no need to flog a dead horse!

2. The guy uses his *devil* mind and plays alongs with you. He might even give you false hope till you receive an invitation to attend his wedding with his *sweetheart*. I don't want to go into much details of what could happen if the guy plays along but the fact is he might want to get back at you and pay you back with high interest!

3. You happen to get back to him at the right time when he has no one and he is willing to take you back! However, this will require a great deal of effort, considerable amount of time, unswerving commitment and God's grace to work! It is not always easy to mend a friendship/relationship that has been on sabbatical! There is a Yoruba adage; *Pounded yam of twenty years go still dey hot!*

Show you know what u want and you're going for it. That is the main challenge u have to deal with. That u dnt knw what u want. Afterall u said No in the past. Why the sudden change in response.
