Celebrities / Drake Called Donald Trump An Idiot by LekkiGists: 11:41am On Sep 02, 2018

U.S. President Donald Trump is a "f*cking idiot," according to Canadian hero and rapper Drake.

Drizzy declared the news to 16,000 screaming Americans at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn on Thursday night during a stop on his ongoing Aubrey and the Three Migos tour.

"Right now, I feel like we're all living in a country where they try and tell us every single day, on our cell phone, on the news, they try and tell us that we're living in a divided country," he said to the crowd over the intro beat to his hit song "God's Plan."

"And we're listening to this, this fucking idiot that's in office… you understand, we're listening to this idiot in office that's trying to tell us that something's going on."

The audience exploded into cheers and applause at this.

"And meanwhile, right here in Brooklyn, we got 16,000 people from all races and all places and all we're doing is just sitting here, enjoying ourselves, listening to music," Drake continued.

"So I wanna tell you from the bottom of my heart I’m proud of you, because no matter how they tell us the world is going, this is how the world is supposed to work right here."

The artist continued to thank his fans and attribute his success to their support before launching into his final song of the night — but not before saying "My name is Drake and I come from Toronto, Canada."

This line, too, got lots of cheers.

President Trump has yet to respond to the diss, but something tells me that he might take to Twitter with a few choice words of his own.

Drake's tour with Migos continues tonight with two more shows in Brooklyn before they head to Montreal.

Science/Technology / Five Things You Should Never Google by LekkiGists: 12:23am On Aug 26, 2018

It doesn’t matter what you want, we are sure you would be Googling about it first as soon as you get online.

Google has made our lives in this new age very easy. Looking up things on the internet for instance, which could be anything from cooking, DIYs and just all sorts of stuff. There are things nobody should look up on Google. Some of them are plain disturbing and scary. These are things that could end up ruining your day or just your entire week. Not everything, after all, is as the good old casino games you enjoy on Betway.

The top 5 things you shouldn’t really Google

Sometimes, it is important to be aware, but knowing about it could be unsettling. The following are five things you may not want to look up on the internet.

1. 911 calls

Sometimes it is best to save yourself from the gory details of 911 calls. Some are just utterly awful especially when callers describe the event details. One of the most profound calls is one made by a woman when the Twin Towers went down. This event is one of the saddest in the history of US. If you get to hear the call, it is utterly depressing. Some people end up suffering from PTSD. So if you want to save your mental health, just don’t do it.

2. Blue Waffle

A lot of generations have in a long time thought that the Blue Waffle is a sexually transmitted disease. If you try and search for the blue waffle with your safe mode on, it will just bring you a bunch of blue waffles. However, when the safe mode is off, Google will bring you a bunch of pictures of a woman whose downstairs are blue. The blue like appearance is as a result of feminine hygiene products.

3. Clopping

Warning this is just for adults. This is one of the most traumatizing things to search on the internet. Cartoons are supposed to be fun and plain simple. However, when it comes to adult cartoons, things just go haywire. Clopping is from an adult cartoon show known as “My Little Pony”. Adults who have watched the cartoon understand better why Rainbow Dash is the most capable.

4. Trypophobia

Almost everyone has a phobia – some have claustrophobia, aviophobia and so many more. But how does it sound to develop a new phobia? If you want to add one more phobia in your list then try Trypophobia. There are so many images on Google that are bound to make anyone without this fear trypophobic. Honestly, you can easily go nuts from just looking at the images.

5. Puzzle video

In 2015 a video came out of a man with a mask, a cloak and a pointy nose walking around in a mental hospital. The entire video features coded messages about the end of the world and killing the US President. The video is just haunting.

Politics / Saraki: APC Senators Are Ignorant Of Constitution, Says Makarfi by LekkiGists: 3:15am On Aug 25, 2018

A presidential aspirant and former National Caretaker Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has declared that it will be impossible for the All Progressives Congress senators to impeach the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

He stated this on Friday while meeting with the leadership of the PDP in Ondo State at the party secretariat in Akure.

Makarfi said those clamouring for Saraki’s removal lacked the understanding of the constitution regarding the affairs of the National Assembly, insisting that only two-thirds majority of the Senate could impeach the Senate President.

According to him, the defection of the Senate President to the PDP does not prevent him from holding his office, as the constitution does not indicate that the Senate President must come from the ruling party.

He said, “I will refer the APC senators to the constitution for better understanding of the laws of our country.

“I am not surprised with their actions; it shows their ignorance about the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, because the constitution is clear about that. If they are familiar with the constitution they will know that they lack the legal powers to impeach the Senate President.

“I am sure they cannot have the two-thirds majority which the constitution requires for the impeachment of the Senate President. Our members in the senate are intelligent people who will not give lawlessness a place in the senate.”

On the defection of some APC bigwigs into the party, the former governor of Kaduna State said although the development might pose some challenges to the party, the PDP leadership had its ways of resolving its internal crisis.

Makarfi expressed assurance that if the PDP won the forthcoming presidential election, it would ensure the country

Celebrities / 5 Artistes Whose Albums Will Drop Before 2019 by LekkiGists: 3:49am On Aug 09, 2018

Musically, 2018 has been a great year. We’ve heard some ground breaking hits, fabulous collabos and some unexpected moves by Nigerian artistes.

Davido shut down Wireless Festival and also won BET International Act award, Wizkid signed contract deals with Nike, D&G and recently met American hip hop legend, Diddy.

However, apart from these notable moments, 2018 holds a lot of goodness musically. Here a five albums that are expected to drop before the year winds to a close.

1. Wizkid – MadeInLagos

Wizkid last dropped an album last year, ‘Sounds From The Other Side‘ and this year, the Soco crooner isn’t resting on his oars yet.

His sophomore album which dropped in 2014, Ayo still sits gallantly atop the iTunes Nigerian Album Charts and MadeInLagos should experience a similar success.

However, it has no features or collaborations according to Wizkid. But will it be the best album that will drop this year?

2. Davido

Title of the album still unannounced, Davido has on two occasions promised us he will drop his long awaited album this year.

Firstly, when he won the Artiste of the year award at the Headies and recently during his acceptance speech while receiving his BET award.

However, along with the other albums scheduled to drop this year, will Davido’s outshine the likes of Wizkid’s MadeInLagos?

3. Tekno

On several occasions, Tekno has shown a lot of promise and also exhibited his extraordinary talent. Apart from being an artiste, Tekno is also a Producer and a Dancer.

Tekno wrote the biggest hit last year, If which he wrote for his long time friend, Davido.

However, this year, Tekno is dropping his debut album and he tweeted recently that it will be the biggest album this year. Should we believe him?

4. M.I – Yung Denzl

Well, probably for the umpteenth time, M.I has rescheduled the release of his Yung Denzl album.

It’s somehow surprising that M.I would be dropping another album this year after releasing Rendezvous early this year. But this time, M.I has vowed to release Yung Denzl in the third week of August. Probably, this could be the greatest album this year….

5. Mr Eazi – Lagos To London

Mr Eazi has also been teasing the release of his mixtape, Lagos To London.

Mr Eazi has been on a major wave this year after signing a licensing deal with intenational platforms, Columbia Records UK.

After releasing Accra to Lagos in 2017, Mr Eazi is set to release his sophomore album this year.

Politics / We Can’t Investigate Buhari’s Aide Without Official Complaint - Police by LekkiGists: 2:25am On Aug 04, 2018

The Nigeria Police Force said on Friday that it could not investigate the allegations of certificate forgery and mismanaged funds levelled against the Chairman of Special Presidential Investigative Panel for the Recovery of Property, Okoi Obono-Obla, except there was an official complaint.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, who said this in an interview with our correspondent, said the police had yet to receive any official complaint to work on, and as such, they were not investigating Obono-Obla.

He said, “We investigate based on complaints. As of now, nobody has made any complaints anywhere. The police do not take up cases based on what people say.

“If any agency of government, whether legislative, executive or judiciary, reports any matter to us, we will investigate it. But as it is, nobody has reported the matter to us.”

Food / Moimoi Rollup by LekkiGists: 2:31am On Jul 12, 2018

For the uninitiated, moimoi is a Nigerian breakfast staple made from pureed beans. It’s perfectly savory and often served as accompaniment to breakfast porridge. Traditional moimoiis wrapped in Banana leaves or Ewe Eran (Thaumatococcus daniellii).

The inspiration for this came from Japanese rolled omelet. I first experimented with the idea in late 2012 but it didn’t quiet work out, I tried to prepare it stove top using the wrong pan type. If you want to achieve this roll stovetop, you need a large nonstick pan like the one I used for the Breakfast Yam Casserole. It should be cooked on low heat in order to distribute the heat evenly.

For this recipe, I took Traditional moimoi and elevated it a bit by deconstructing parts of the ingredients and presenting it a little differently. The only thing “special” about this is the way it’s rolled, the taste is exactly like the moimoi you know and love. I made use of peeled beans because I had some in the freezer. Moimoi can be made from Unpeeled beans as I presented in this recipe we shared last month.

This is the perfect recipe for your next brunch or special valentine breakfast. It should take about 20 minutes with already peeled beans. it’s amazingly simple to make and present beautifully. Double or triple the recipe to make a bigger batch. Recipe as is will serve two.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJP--3Wajek

Ingredients:
1 cup peeled beans
1/4 medium Onion (Halved)
1 Red Pepper (Tatashe) (Halved )
Small Ginger (peeled)
1 Sprig green onion (optional)
2 eggs ( 1 boiled, 1 raw)
1 tablespoon oil or butter
1 cube maggi
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper Flakes
Salt – To taste

Technology Market / Nigerians Beware - This New ATM Scam Technique Could Get You In Trouble by LekkiGists: 1:57am On Jul 12, 2018

This fraud usually occurs at the ATM galleries. An 18-year-old customer and another ‘Rich’ adult customer were victims and now they have their BVN flagged for live and have cases to answer with the Police, and with their bank accounts on Post-No-Debit.

This is how it works;

1. You walk to an ATM and someone (fraudster) approaches you. The person may show you wads of cash and claim they have exceeded their withdrawal limit of 150k, and that they still need more cash. They then plead to make a money transfer into your own bank account so that you can withdraw it for them.

2. The TROUBLING thing in this seemingly harmless random act of kindness is that transfers are usually made from STOLEN PHONES or HACKED BANK ACCOUNTS!!!

3. The person who owns the bank account which the money transfer was initiated from would report to his bank, and the bank would send out a circular to the recipient’s bank with instructions to be carried out – which usually includes freezing your own account, BVN flagging, and on most times an order for your apprehension.

4. The next thing you would discover is that the next time you try to use your ATM card to withdraw, your transactions will be unsuccessful.

5. You then go to your bank and you get the news. You will thank your stars if there’s no MEMO to apprehend you and hand you over to the Police immediately – for something you surely don’t know about. You may be advised to quickly go get a Police Report.

The 18-year-old boy was sent to withdraw money from his bank account by his Mom. On getting to the ATM, he was held at gun point by the fraudsters and the money transfer was made, money withdrawn, and he was released. The money here was 40k. The boy was advised to report himself to the Police, and he should follow up with the bank.

The adult customer was approached respectfully by a fraudster brandishing loads of cash. So, he felt at ease and ‘helped’, not knowing he had been exposed for flagging. Here, the amount of money involved was 50k. The customer who has about 1 million naira in his bank account has now been undone because of 50k he knows nothing about. Now, there’s a MEMO to have the customer arrested anytime he steps into any of the bank branches.

Who knows if the stolen phones were acquired via One Chance armed robbers or the bank transfer details were supplied by Serial Hackers? This is a serious criminal issue.

Remember, if you have your BVN flagged, then you are so done with any legal financial dealings.

DO NOT HELP ANYBODY AT THE ATM!!! NOT EVEN AN OLD FRIEND, CHURCH MEMBER OR WHATSOEVER. SAY NO TO STRANGERS WHO APPROACH YOU FOR ANY TRANSFER FOR WITHDRAWAL AT THE ATM.

Imagine getting locked up over money you know nothing about other than helping someone to withdraw.

Romance / 5 Types Of Women That Are Very Good In Bed by LekkiGists: 1:08am On May 25, 2018
It might be difficult to know a woman who will be good in bed unless you actually take her to bed. But if you would rather not risk taking home a woman that will turn out to be not-so-great.

We present to you five personality types that translate into a fantastic time in bed.

Source:- http://www.lekkigists.com.ng/2018/05/5-types-of-women-that-are-very-good-in.html

1. The Funny Woman

For some curious reason, funny people are usually better in bed. Sure, there might be scientific study to back this up, but most men who have gone with the gal with the amazing sense of humour usually report back to say they have the best time.

This is probably because funny women are unlikely to take things too seriously. They make sure to have fun in the bedroom and this can be a very attractive trait.

2. The Experienced Woman

A lot of men run from the ‘experienced’ or the ‘slutty’ woman because they worry about their reputations but if you have not bedded one, you are missing out.

An experienced girl not only know what she is doing, she also knows what to do to please you. She is very likely to show you things you probably have never experienced.

3. The Outspoken Woman

Women who are never shy about expressing themselves usually turn out to be great Sex partners. Why? Because if they are unafraid to say what’s on their mind outside, then they are very likely to be straight with you in the bedroom too.
They tell you exactly what turns them on and expect the same from you. No time for being coy or embarrassed.
They are after their orgasm and yours so those are their main focus.

4. The Filthy Woman

You know that woman who always seem to have dirt in her mind. She says nasty things and talks like a pro.
Most men believe women like these are probably just pretending. But you know how people are, we only say what our mind is filled with. So, take her home today, you are more likely to be pleased.

5. The Curious Woman

Is she always interested in trying new things? Does she jump at the chance to try a new meal, try her hands in new ventures or gets easily bored of things? This is one woman you should bed.
Often times, the best sex partners are those who are willing to step out of their comfort zones.
They want to try new positions and have sex in new ways. She will give you a thrill.

The End!!

Thanks for reading.

Travel / What To Do If You Miss Your Flight by LekkiGists: 12:50am On May 25, 2018
From:- LekkiGists

Planning your holiday is incredibly exciting. What’s even more exciting is the day you actually leave! The anticipation builds up as you pack your suitcase, kiss the pets goodbye and make your way to the airport. There are so many things to take into account when you’re flying from one destination to the next and worrying about whether you’ll get to your flight on time is just one extra thing. Travelstart wants you to enjoy stress-free travel, so we’ve come up with a guideline on what to do if you miss your flight!

The reality is that most of us can’t control everything that happens in life, from unforeseen traffic to road accidents, family emergencies that just come out of the blue and a long list of things to factor in before you board. We have come up with tips, advice and some information to alleviate any confusion on what happens when you miss your flight.

Please note that there are no guarantees on how different airlines handle this situation and so it is always a good idea to spend that little bit extra and invest in travel insurance to avoid all stress. Also, make sure you’ve read through and understood the airline’s terms and conditions before you depart.

Before we get into all that, let’s answer the most frequently asked questions regarding missing your flight…

Can you get a refund if you miss your flight?
The short answer to this is, ‘No’. Passengers are not automatically refunded for missing their flight as it is their duty to board on time. In some cases, you may qualify for a discount on the next available flight or even be allowed to board for virtually free of charge, but this is done at the discretion of individual airlines and at unique times.

Is travel insurance a good idea?
Travel insurance is definitely a good idea to cancel out any worry about missing your flight. Consider Travelstart’s comprehensive international travel insurance, which covers everything when abroad, including airline delays, missed flight connections, visa denial, baggage loss, and even damage to your home. Travelstart has a fantastic medical aid protection plan, which insures you the full refund of your flight ticket, should you miss your flight due to unforeseen death, illness or hospitalisation of yourself or family member.

Please note that these travel insurance packages do NOT cover missed flights due to heavy traffic, forgotten documents or anything else that could have been humanly avoided, so always plan ahead and be prepared!

That being said, let’s look at some options to avoid missing your flight.

Tips on how to not miss your flight

1. Check in online – this saves you from spending time in long queues at the airport and gives you peace of mind that you’re checked in. Bear in mind that once you’ve checked in online, the airline considers you to be on the plane and will not account for you if you are running late for your flight. Once your seat is confirmed, and you miss your flight, that is essentially a wasted seat that could have been given to a standby customer. By checking in online before your flight, all you need to do is proceed straight to the boarding gate with your printed out boarding pass. Online check-in is only available to those within the baggage restrictions who can proceed straight to the bag drop counter (bag drop usually closes 40-60 minutes before departure); or if you’re travelling light with only hand luggage, you can head straight to your boarding gate. See our online check-in guide for all major airlines.

2. If you have an unexpected emergency, phone the airline or airport and let them know. Although an airline will not delay a flight for a passenger (unless in case of an extreme emergency), a representative can advise you on any information that could potentially help you. Also, by informing the airline that you may potentially miss your flight, they may be able to give your seat to a standby passenger and hold you in good light for doing so.

3. If you arrive at the airport late, immediately find an airline representative and let them know you are late for your flight. They can direct you to the front of the queues for security checks and passport control so that you can get to the boarding gate as soon as possible.
Pack light to avoid having to check in your baggage – if you’re doing a short trip, pack as light as possible to store all of your belongings as hand luggage that does not need to be checked in. You will immediately save time, which will come in handy if you’re already late.
Plan to get to the airport earlier than need be – this one may seem obvious, but many people enjoy sticking to a strict travel schedule, which may include very precise travel times to and from the airport. By doing this, you may forget to take any roadworks or traffic jams into consideration and arrive at the airport later than expected.

Unfortunately, even with the best of planning, some travellers do miss their flight! What would the next steps be in getting you in the air and off to your desired destination? Well, there are a few options to look at…

Quick tips on what to do if you miss your flight
Find a representative of your booked airline and ask about the airline’s policy on missed flights – some airlines may only charge a rebooking fee while others may ask you to pay in the difference between the new and old flight, which can work out expensive. It is NOT standard practice for an airline to waiver excess charges, so don’t expect a free pass. To avoid the hassle and expense of booking a new flight, make sure you don’t miss your flight!

Check for the next available flight with the same airline and ask to be put on the standby list – often during peak travel season, there are many flights to the same destinations and with your name on the list, it may just be an hour or two before you’re on your way again. If the airline cannot offer you an alternative flight at an equal or cheaper price, do a quick search and compare flights on Travelstart!
We know this situation can be incredibly stressful, but always try to remain calm and communicate politely with airline staff. Clearly explain your situation and they will do their best to assist you.
Stay at the airport – it’s always a good idea to stick around at the airport as you await your next flight. If the waiting time is less than 5 hours, it is recommended to stay in the vicinity to avoid any further delays on your behalf.
Sometimes, one action can lead to the next and that is especially the case in terms of connecting flights! Have a look at these tips on what to do when you miss your initial flight.

Can you miss the first leg of a flight?
When you miss your first flight on a multi-city air ticket, many airlines will automatically cancel your connecting/return flight and have you marked as a ‘No Show’. If you have a long layover and are still able to catch your connecting flight, make sure you immediately let the airline know, so they can put you on their system for that flight. If all flights are with the same airline, or have code-share agreements, you only need to phone the main airline on your ticket. In the case that your flights are with multiple airlines, you will need to inform each affected airline that you will miss the first flight, but will still be on the connecting one. You will need to do this once you have successfully re-booked your missed flight.

What happens to your baggage when you miss your connecting flight?

If you missed your connecting flight and your luggage was on that flight, you would again need to find a representative from the airline that you booked with as soon as possible. The representative would then track your luggage and hold onto it until you get there, instead of leaving it for security to collect at the end of the luggage conveyor belt on the other side! Always be on the safe side and include baggage insurance for lost or delayed baggage, especially for long trips.

What should you do if your flight is delayed?
If and when a flight is delayed, it is the responsibility of the airline to inform passengers about this delay and provide all the information needed, such as how long the wait will be. Most airlines, depending on how long the delay is, will compensate their passengers. If a flight is delayed by more than a certain number of hours (the amount of time is airline and route dependent), you will be compensated with meals and accommodation near the airport if need be. For shorter delays, you might even be given access to the airline’s luxury lounges, keeping you as comfortable as possible! Be aware that some airlines might only give you a percentage of your air ticket back – another reason why travel insurance is a good idea.

What happens if the airline cancels your flight?
There may be an unlikely situation where the airline cancels your flight. This could be due to a number of reasons, and remember that the airline always has your best interests at heart. Luckily, an airline flight cancellation is at no fault of the passenger and so it then becomes the responsibility of the airline to fix the situation and make an alternative plan. In the extreme case that your flight is cancelled, you will be put on the next available flight at no additional cost. Alternatively, you may be fully compensated for your lost flight.

Davido was in love when he sang this lyrics in his song Assurance and all he had on his mind was giving his woman the Lifetime Assurance she desperately needed from him.

Davido considered that somehow, he has placed a serious curse on himself that might affect him if he leaves Chioma.
Apparently, 23 year old Chioma would not put all her trust in Davido who fathered two daughters even while they were dating, hence, the need for a strong assurance.

Now, Chioma has all the assurance she wants even more than she asked for, plus a big curse from the lover boy.
However, was Davido wise to have invoked the waters? Dangerous isn’t it? Let’s just hope this affair leads to the altar or better still, IF it ever ends let it be amicable!

We don’t want the waters carrying Davido FAR Away…

Crime / We’re Not Involved In Toll Gate Clash – Seven-up by LekkiGists: 3:20am On May 23, 2018

The Management of Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited has distanced the company from a fight on the Mobolaji Johnson Avenue, Alausa, Ikeja, during which some officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were injured.

The company said its workers did not fight the traffic officials, adding that those arrested by the police were workers of another company.

Adaku'sBlog had reported that some trucks, which LASTMA claimed belonged to 7-UP, blocked the road and created a gridlock on Saturday.

The state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, who was reported to have been held in the jam, directed officials to resolve the traffic.
The LASTMA officials were allegedly attacked, while the police were said to have arrested three suspects.

Reacting to the report, a statement on Monday by the Legal Adviser of Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited, Ngozi Giwa-Amu, said the company was not involved in the clash.

“The altercation that ensued around the company’s bottling plant by the end of Mobolaji Johnson Avenue, Alausa, Ikeja, was between LASTMA officials and truck drivers of Dangote Group.

“There was not a single vehicle belonging to Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited involved in the melee,” the statement said in part.
The Head of Media, Dangote Group, Esan Sunday, however, said workers of the company were not involved in the incident.

He said, “I don’t think anything like that happened; we were not involved. If we were involved, I would have known because it would have been communicated to us. We have no such report.”
The spokesperson for LASTMA, Mahmud Hassan, said the vehicles that blocked the road were in the area because of Seven-up.

He said, “Those vehicles (blocking the road) were franchise vehicles; you cannot divorce their activities and presence in the area from the business relationship they have with the company. We have written to them so that we could discuss and plan how they would manage their operations with those coming to do business with them, but they did not honour our invitations.

“The people arrested were picked up at the scene of the incident where they launched attacks against our men. They have been arraigned in an Ogba Magistrates’ Court and they have been remanded.”

Crime / Cyber Fraudster Impersonates Ambode’s Wife by LekkiGists: 2:41am On May 23, 2018

The wife of the Lagos State Governor, Bolanle Ambode, has raised the alarm on the activities of a yet-to-be identified person, who has been impersonating her on the Internet for alleged fraudulent purposes.

It was gathered that the suspected cyber fraudster had been disguising as Ambode’s representative and had been making use of social media platforms to extort money from members of the public.

Ambode, in a statement by the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Folashade Kadiri, said, “The certain individual has been masquerading as her (Ambode) representative for the purposes of extorting money from unsuspecting persons, using social media platforms.

“Her excellency wishes to state very emphatically that she has no link whatsoever with such fraudulent element; she also has not authorised anyone to act on her behalf in questionable circumstances.”

While calling on members of the public to be vigilant and avoid dealings with shadowy figures pretending to represent her for motives that were “self-serving and clearly dubious.”
