The Chairman, Omala Transition Committee, Hon. Edibo Ameh Mark has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in Omala as they celebrate the Eid-el-fitr today.

In a statement this morning, Hon. Edibo said this period of celebration affords all of us the opportunity to call on God in prayers to restore peace to our land, noting that the government is doing its best to restore peace, ensure the security of lives and properties of our people and most importantly ensure the peaceful return of all those displaced in the recent attacks at Agojeju-Odo. oga , have you been to Nsukka. If you have , name at least, 6 places . UNN is my Alma mata. I know , Ofulonu , Old and New Anglican road, Ugwuoye , Ugwunkwo , Behind Flats / Onuiyi, Ogurugu Road , Baracks to Ikenga Hotel to Industrial layout to Aku road etc just in Nsukka township. mention your own

That man DIDNT fail. Don’t keep jumping around NL saying what you don’t know. If you are from Enugu and his impact is not felt in your village, wait for another administration. Government is continuous. Governor Chimaroke and Sullivan didn’t do anything for Nsukka people. That was the reason Sullivan made sure Nsukka took power as he was leaving.

What how say and what you say

He didn't do anything in Nsukka. We live here. Erosion during rainy season here, you can't go to UNN from Total roundabout, Oful9nu Juction to inward Ofulonu is a no no, Faith Foundation to Justina Eze is Ocean. We won't even talk about Aku road. The only thing that man did in Nsukka is the Nsukka-Opi road for 8 years.

He would have left an evaluating legacy for Nsukka people if he only fix the water problem in Nsukka. They had him for 8 years and yet no water, a basic necessity.

Gburugburu did not do anything for Nsukka people. We are here n we live here.
Politics / Re: Atiku's Leadership Of The Economic Management Team: Oby Ezekwesili Lied- Dr Oche by lifefaith(m): 5:33pm On Jan 18, 2023
It truly showed that majority of us here don't even read articles. What Oby tweeted were the same thing this Dr. Is talking about.
1. The National Economic Council(NEC) is a constitutional body headed by the VP to advise the President on economic matters. Oby Ezekwesili.

2. The economic management team(headed by Ngozi Oknojo-Iweala) is the President's think thank on economy.

Atiku claimed to be the chairman of the economic management team (which is false). He was the Chairman of NATIONAL ECONOMIC COUNCIL AND NOT CHAIRMAN OF THE ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT TEAM.

Maybe Dr. Oche did not read through the tweets very well.

On this, Dr. OBY EZEKWESILI WAS RIGHT AND BOTH ATIKU AND DR. OCHE WERE WRONG AND REMAIN WRONG.

Science/Technology / The World To Experience "BLOOD MOON" On Monday, May 16th, 202w by lifefaith(m): 10:09pm On May 12, 2022
‘The Blood Moon’

The Centre for Basic Space Science and Astronomy, Nsukka Nigeria wishes to draw the attention of the general public about the first total lunar eclipse for the year 2022 which will take place globally on the early morning hours of May 16, 2022. As part of public outreach activities scheduled to educate students, researchers and the general public on this rare astronomical phenomenon, the Director/CE of the Centre for Basic Space Science and Astronomy, Dr. Bonaventure I. Okere stated that this first lunar eclipse of the year 2022 will be visible from across all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, as well as in many other countries of Africa, North and South America, Europe and some parts of Asia.

The moon turned blood-red: A stunning photo taken by sky-watcher on June 15, 2011 in Namibia. (Credit: George Tucker)
He went further to state that the lunar eclipses have remained one of the most interesting astronomical events/phenomena for sky-watchers globally over the years. This natural phenomenon according to him occurs when the Earth blocks the Sun's light, which otherwise would have struck and reflect off the moon’s surface. In other words, the moon passes into the umbra/deep shadow of the Earth. When this happens, the short wavelength light from our planet is scattered/absorbed while light of longer wavelength (red colour) is refracted around the edges of the atmosphere, while falling upon the moon's surface, thereby turning the moon reddish in colour (the Blood Moon). However, he went further to affirm that there is no need for Nigerians to panic over this natural phenomenon because there is actually no blood on the moon. Explicitly, he noted that the reddish colour of the moon is as a result of the physical processes that take place within the atmosphere of the moon. These processes is akin to the atmospheric scattering and absorption of different colours (short wavelength) of white light from the Sun with the exception of the red colour (long wavelength) during Sunset in our evening sky (which makes the Sun to appear reddish during sunset in the evening sky).
Again, he further noted that there are three types of lunar eclipse in nature: Total, Partial and Penumbral lunar eclipse. However, the most dramatic of them all is the Total Lunar Eclipse, in which the Earth's shadow completely covers the moon, making the moon to appear bright red in the night sky during the time of totality (maximum eclipse). For ages, total lunar eclipse has inspired awe and/or even creates fear especially whenever the moon turns blood-red during the time of maximum eclipse. This reddish colour of the moon though harmless, terrifies people especially those who has no understanding of what causes it; making some people to erroneously blame one particular god or their fellow human being for these natural phenomenon which is wrongly regarded as a bad omen in some societies.

Quite unlike the Total Solar Eclipse (Eclipse of the Sun) which requires a special glass (solar filter) for its observation, he further noted that we do not need any special eye shield for lunar eclipse observation. By implication, Nigerians can observe this rare astronomical phenomenon from the comfort of their homes at the right time; given favourable weather condition at any particular location. Most importantly, Dr. Okere also noted that this first eclipse of the moon for the year 2022 will begin in Nigeria during the early morning hour of May 16, 2022 at 02:32AM (Nigerian Time) with a Penumbral Eclipse (during which the Earth's penumbra starts touching the Moon's face) and ends with Penumbral Eclipse at 07:50AM (Nigerian Time) with the moon below the horizon (moonset is at about 06:35AM). In all, he further stated that the eclipse will take place over a period of 5hrs:18min (02:32AM – 07:50AM), with maximum eclipse occurring at 05:11AM (moon is closest to the centre of the Earth’s shadow).

Finally, he further maintained that without good/hospitable weather conditions, it will be impossible for Nigerians to observe and appreciate this great gift of nature to mankind within the month of May 2022. In the light of the above, it is important to note that the weather forecast for major cities in Nigeria on the early hours of May 16, 2022 showed that most States in Southern as well as the Middle-belt region of Nigeria will experience scattered cloud and heavy cloud-cover during this period of total lunar eclipse; with most state in North-east and North-western region of Nigeria having very clear and favourable night sky for lunar eclipse observation. Thus, he prayed that the weather will be hospitable at our individual locations for us to perfectly catch a glimpse of this rare astronomical event that nature has to offer on that day.

He who tithes and he who does not tithe do no evil. If u believe in tithe, go ahead and do it. If u dont believe in it, do what works for u.

If we go to the scriptural integrity of tithing, then I make bold to say that tithing is not for CHRISTIANS. If u think tithes are Christians obligation, y didnt the disciples tithe?

Go n read the book of Malachi very well. U guys should stop dwelling on Mal.3:8-10. Start reading from Malachi chapter one down to chapter four. Ur eye go open Las Las

Meanwhile, tithe doesnt take one to heaven or takes one to hell. We should do what we are called to do as Christian's- preach the gospel. The gospel is God's love towards men. So, show love to ur neighbours. This is d greatest evangelism.

GEJ government came up with the plan, but on critical expert analysis, they realised that it would immediately choke the banking sector and the economy to near death.
Therefore, they decided to keep on hold, while trying to figure a better way to harmonize FG accounts without choking the economy.

Then General clueless stepped in, impervious to economic common sense, pushed the TSA forward, completely oblivious of the immediate economic

Unfortunately, sir. U didn't get d right information. THE BAYELSA ELECTION, A LESSON FOR THE IGBOS:
I have been following events in the Bayelsa state since Saturday and I think it's high time we Igbos woke up and learn our lessons. What is happening in Bayelsa state shows that the Bayelsans have moved on. They are no longer tied to the apron of PDP and GEJ. That state is one of the smallest states in the country and it's the home state of the former president (GEJ), yet the result of the election held since Saturday have not been announced officially till now. I thought the PDP would have swept off the whole votes just like they did during the presidential election, but to my amazement the APC is also gathering considerable votes there. I know PDP may eventually emerge winner in the election, but my point is that we Igbos should wake up and stop crying more than the bereaved cos even the bereaved have moved on.
Other regions have moved on and have even started integrating themselves into this PMB administration to ensure they remain relevant and not schemed out if things, while some of my people are still holding themselves down and throwing hate speeches here and there.
Other region are already preparing for 2019, some are already gearing up for 2023, while my people have failed to arise and shake off GEJ and his failed administration. By 2019 now, we will begin to run helter-skelter and start last minute preparation and when we loose again, we will say we are hated by others but we forget that we are the ones holding ourselves down now that others are already preparing ahead.
The Igbos have enjoyed more "juicy" appointments in the past 16 years of this democratic dispensation, yet none of the appointees or elected officials performed exceptional well for us to present him/her as presidential candidate. But look at the likes of Fashola, Fayemi, Kwakwanso, El Rufai, etc they are all potential presidential candidates going forward cos their achievements speak for them. Tell me the achievements of. Orji Uzor Kalu, T.A Orji, Sam Egwu, Chimaroke Nnamani, Mbadinuju, etc.... none of them made a mark in their various states, yet we leave them and keep pointing fingers to other regions and saying they are our problem.
I advise we wake up and begin to align ourselves strategically with other region now cos we can never produce a president in this country if we continue like this.
While some misguided elements are busy shouting Biafra, and claiming that South south is part of their Biafra, the southsouth have denounced the whole Biafra thing publicly and I understand that just last weekend, Nyesom Wike of River State, named a stadium in River State after Yakubu Gowon. Does that not tell you something?
The golden rule says 'DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WILL LIKE THEM TO DO UNTO YOU'..... Love begat love, hate begat hate. Don't expect love from others when you give them hatred, don't expect them to vote for your candidate when you keep calling them animals that live in the zoo.
"Give and it shall be given unto you" whatever you give to others is what they will give back to you GOOD MEASURES, PRESSED DOWN, SHAKING TOGETHER AND RUNNING OVER.
He who has ears let him hear, Wisdom is profitable to direct.... I rest my case...

Well said sir. If ur brothers n sisters will listen to d reasoning of objective people like u. I am nt IBO but works in IBO land n I've come to realise DAT d problems of d east arecd people themselves

In the light of the new development. I think Yahaya bello should replace Audu since he came second in the primaries to avoid any legal loophole the other parties might want to exploit. For the Igala's they already have a minister in the person of ocholi who happens to come from the same Dekina LGA with wada, the okuns have the deputy in the person of faleke while the Ebira's will now be allowed to produce the Governor. I think this will balance things in the state. In addittion, to appease the Igala's the more maybe they should also be allowed to produce the speaker while the okun's will produce the deputy speaker of the house of assembly.

U forgot DAT Egbira has the speaker position until 2019?
