Thank you so much for the reply, I truly appreciate it.

tinuowo:

Yes I wrote an emotional note that I left my children most especially my baby( left him @9months) to come study in Canada….that I have left them for too long and I am missing them…I also attached my result up to 3semesters that I have done and my complete school fees receipt to show them that see oo I have completed my school fees… cos d reasons for there previous denials were insufficient Proof of fund.

My advice, send them a webform, if you r in Canada target 12-1am to send the webform. Just write a note according to your situation and attach a document to show your progress in your study (just speaking from my lil experience)
Even before the webform, I have called them severally but I realized those guys are just customer service agents there is nothing they can do from there end.. they will even tell me to send a webform.
Above everything pray 🙏 your husband PPR will come through by God’s grace🙏

I hope this helps?

Congratulations @tinuowo. I wanted to ask a question. My husband put in an application on the 17th of November, 2023. You mentioned that you sent a web form. Was it to inquire or ask for a fast track of the application? I am asking because since we made the application, it has just been biometrics passed and background information in progress. Any advice?

Hi everyone, please, I have some questions. When filling out the family information form, is my spouse supposed to fill in Yes or No in the space asking if I will accompany him to Canada? I am asking because I am already in Canada. Secondly, what would he put as my address? Would it be the one in Canada or Nigeria? Thank you.

Good day, everyone. I have a question. When my spouse wants to book upfront medicals via IOM, will he choose a family member or visitor visa on the drop-down menu asking about the type of visa? Also, since he has no UCI yet, will he put "Not applicable" there or fill in my own UCI since he is applying to join me? I am a bit confused. Thank you. Please, I would appreciate an answer.

Good day everyone, I wanted to ask, my sister in law will.be doing a gift deed of 2 million for my husband's SOWP application. Although he already has about 800k in his account. Does this gift deed explain the lump sum since she is his elder sister and they can prove relationship.

Hello everyone, does my spouse choose family member/sponsorship or Visitor as his category when booking upfront medicals with IOM. He is applying for SOWP.

Good day everyone, I am an I ternational student in Canada who started September 2023 on a fully funded scholarship. With my passport expiring in march 2025, I will have to apply for extension say middle of next year. However, I want to make my husband's SOWP application. So i have some questions
How much would be needed for proof of fund for him?
How much would I also need to show in my Canadian bank account?
Do I also need to show my pay slips from my workplace in Nigeria as I still receive salary?
Do I need to wait until I am applying for study permit extension to make his application or I can do it now? Thank you.

Please don't panic. I was in your shoes few days ago. But my passport is now ready for collection in Lagos.

Since it is now in IRRC office, you can send webform and/or email to IRCC office to fast track the process. I did that like two times when I didn't get any update after 6 days at IRCC office and I wish I did that earlier.

Please what email address did you use? I am in the same situation. Last message was that it was under process at the IRCC office since 28th of July and its been 7 days now.

Good morning guys, i received a message from vfs last week that my passport has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC on Fri Jul 21 2023 and is in transit to the IRCC Office in Abuja OC for processing.
Since then, i have not heard anything. Should i do a webchat with an officer to get details or just wait?

Same here. Making 3 weeks now and no response

I think you should webchat with one of their officers so you know where your passport is. That was what i did.

Hi guys, please i want to ask a question for a friend. He applied with the new portal twice and has been rejected twice. Should he still reapply with the new portal while addressing the issues for which he was rejected or can he apply with the old portal.
If he ends up applying with the old portal, will he have to sign up and start all over?

If you sent your passports to Lagos via courier, it takes an average of one week for them to acknowledge receipt of your passports if you have paid all necessary fees, at least judging from an acquittance's case I have seen.
Just be patient, they will respond.

Thank you. Apart from the fees paid to DHL. I didn't pay any other fees because i did my biometrics in Lagos and I will pick myself if its ready. I will just be patient then. Thanks a lot for the replies.I really appreciate.

Good morning guys, I made my passport submission via DHL and it reached Lagos VAC on Monday 10th of July and I have not gotten any confirmation from Lagos VAC. I did a webchat with one of their representatives and he told me to wait for a confirmation from them just as i waited for confirmation from the courier service. So i want to ask, exactly how long does it take to get a confirmation from Lagos VAC for passport submission?

Hi guys, please just to be sure. I did my biometrics in Lagos but i stay in Lokoja. I sent my passport today via DHL to Lagos. I submitted passport, biometric sticker, request letter and a filled vfs consent form. The only payment i made was to DHL to send my documents.
Am i on track or was I supposed to make another payment for one way courier service of 30820?

Guys, the earliest date for passport submission in Lagos is 24th of July and I got my PPR 30th of June. Is this 24th not too late cos I am scared of courier services. Has anyone tried DHL recently? What was the timeline?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Lindyadam: 4:22pm On Jul 03, 2023
Good day house. Got my PPR on Friday. Can I submit my passport to a different VAC centre than the one I did my biometrics?
If I can, what are the charges, and how can I pay? I would really appreciate a reply as most dates are getting booked quickly. Thank you.

Hi guys, i wanted to make an enquiry. I made my application on May 10th, did my biometrics and upfront medicals May 17th and 18th respectively. Biometrics shows completed same day and Medicals passed since June 2nd. However, I have not heard from ircc. Should I go ahead and send a webform to enquire about my application or just wait. The application is past 6 weeks now.
