Well, in my case, the young chap is a young boy who grew up in our neighborhood. We all consider ourselves family till date. He's married now. He's always been a careless spender. Loves to look so expensive even when he doesn't have money. Anyways, in August this year, he came crying to me and my husband. Husband himself had sworn never to loan people money he can't forfeit. So for the sake of his new wife being a woman like me, and their preemie, I begged oga and begged him for a long time to loan this guy what he needed to complete the house rent for his new family as they were still staying at her mom's one bedroom and he was squatting with them. He is an admin staff in a fed tertiary institution. He also makes clothes for people. Agreement was, every first week of the month, pay 33k October , 33k November and 34k December. Mr wise man paid in 10k, and days later 6k. No apologies for the breach in agreement. We signed one for obvious reasons. Worst part is he hasn't rented the house till now. Now hubby is like, I warned you, didn't I? Now I regret helping them. Obviously the over 20years of knowing him and his family doesn't count. I am yet to decide on how to get my balance back, if he can just fail at this first installment. This my kind heart will not put me in trouble again.
