Education / Re: Sylvester Oromoni’s Father Challenges Coroner’s Findings, Alleges Cover-up by linocol0075: 11:03pm On May 08 |
For me, I believe the case as that of parental negligence. The father of the late boy is just trying to clear his own mess. Your son was sent home from school for being sick and for proper treatment. He told you he was bullied, or injured, whatever he told you. Then you called a family doctor to come and check your son, instead of taking your son to the hospital as first care of a caring and observant Father. The doctor came as requested and even after giving drugs or drips or injections, for even 2 days without improvement should send an alarm to your head that this son needs proper care at the hospital not home visit by a doctor. After all you are a well to do Parent, even those without money take their kids to the hospital for proper care not talk of one who is financially good. Yet for several days, you kept your sim at home in the guise that he told you he was bullied. What is more important than the life of your son. The bully’s at school or the immediate care of a son by the parents? The Father needs to be asked more questions if he continues in this charade. We cannot totally absolve the school but what more can they do if they sent the boy back home after initial first aid treatment. Did the father do the needful, absolutely no. He was joking with the life of his son. The boy didn’t deserve what he got. My condolences to him. |

Politics / Re: Buhari Writes CJN Over Decongestion Of Prisons Amid COVID-19 Pandemic by linocol0075: 4:32pm On Apr 22, 2020 |
This is the greatest step ever undertaken by the Buhari Government in Nigeria. Imagine 52,000 awaiting trial cases with most of them sent there without even any evidence of the crime. Good move, but make sure they are added to the cash transfer palliatives register so as to give them a soft landing into the society. |

Politics / Re: 2019 Elections: Lagos records lowest voter turnout at 18%, Jigawa tops - Punch by linocol0075: 9:54am On Mar 18, 2019 |
Before we start crying foul about the voting figures from the north as seen in Jigawa and borno by your analysis. Let's check out this points 1. Is the number of registered voters and PVC collected correct and accepted across the states? 2. If yes then it means the number of voters correlate since the registration process was for a long period of time and the point of terrorist attack also happened within that time. 3. If we doubt the numbers coming out to vote. Why then do we spend so much money in making the PVC available to each. 4. The point of terrorist attacks in how many villages, LGA in the affected states and within what number of days. There is no one cap fits all in this analysis 5. Looking at Lagos for an example. The issue of violence affected just 6 polling units in Oshodi isolo LGA in a state of more than 1380 polling units. So we cannot say the violence caused the apathy since the cases are far less than 1% of the polling units. We should update our findings and then draw our premise from it in forming our opinion on this instead of allowing different misleading informants swerve away our attention. We in the southern part of Nigeria should take voting as of great importance instead of using it as means of identification that most of our people use it for with profound respect. We always feel its not important that is why we can't queue up for it to be sorted out and instead rush back to work. Though I know the idea of asking what has the government done or would do for us is killing the interest but we must not deter. We would win someday. Also INEC should make registration and PVC collection less stressful and an online poll to see reasons of no collection. doctokwus: 1 Like |

Politics / Re: APC Considers North For Senate President, South For Speaker by linocol0075: 12:22am On Mar 07, 2019 |
Also what worked well for the PDP at that time that makes you feel they are better is because the easterners and south south voted for them massively too. This made the position sharing equal No one gives an opposition member a political position just like that. It is earned especially in the NASS. Saraki's case was just a one off. linocol0075: 1 Like |

I guess you don't known the chief of naval staff is from SS. Cross River. Please try to verify your info. Also the political positions are shared to those states or regions who delivered for the ruling party not opposition. That is the norm every where in the world. Please stop the hate. Nevertheless I believe the APC should be magnanimous by speaking with Mr President to pick a SE as SGF and also replace the chief of air staff with a SE to calm nerves and make the government more appealing bajosky: |
Politics / Re: Lawan, Goje, Ndume, Adamu Battle For Senate Presidency by linocol0075: 10:08am On Mar 03, 2019 |
My fellow countrymen. In Parliamentary elections, the zoning and position sharing is mostly based on the number of elected members from your zone. This gives you power to contest any position. How do you expect the party to give the highest position to a zone who produced the least numbers of members. This would cause disaffection from the other zones with serious majority. It was easier for PDP then because the SE and SS zones also voted massively for them unlike the APC. The SE elders knew about this and decided to damn the consequences. So why cry foul of equity and and inequality. 5 Likes |

Even if they put over-head bridge there, students wonts still follow it. They prefer to cross because of hastyness nd loss of value for safety precautions. Yet, they are among the so called 'EDUCATED". I just believe all they need is more orientation by the school authorities and student unions, also, a speed breaks on the expressway close to the school to fore warn drivers. Thank you. |

@ movin coil, Statistically yes @ ur question, due to the ratio of professional courses to others in relation to applicants. Also pls pray dat the forms aint available until july o wen we would av passed out. Cos the rule is dat u must av bn discharged from NYSC b4 u can apply @ al. So it means u ar disqualified on that note. Also I heard of som1 who passed all the physical nd medical examinations but was sent out by the board when he was found to stil be in service wen he applied. So be guided o |

@ moving coil, since you graduated in Engineering, y don't u jst apply for Airforce or Navy DSSC. You will be picked 1 time cos they need such services there than the army. You will make the list with few efforts, remember, not every1 studied a professional course nt talk of Engineering. If I had engineerin, I would av applied for Navy. |
