I started classes since September o. All of my classes are live on Zoom. It was interesting at first but it has started to become funny, especially without the permit approval. People are even asking me weird questions concerning my travel and I don't even know how to respond because Canada is messing things up for me... I can't access my funding money because I'm not in Canada yet. I even had to renew house rent that I didn't plan to renew. Things are just funny.

I have three presentations within the next two weeks and I can't focus without thinking about study permit. Sorry that I'm ranting. I can be so emotional like that.

My school is on the list but I don't think that's how they're giving the approvals.

The wait is killing me o. How can I apply since May and I won't be among the first to be approved .

I can't even read well and focus because of the anxiety. I feel emotionally drained because of Canada, coupled with the unrest in Nigeria.

Truly, the journey to Canada is not for the faint hearted.

PPR DROPPED. How do i start ooooo......

my journey started in 2019.

I graduated from Nnamdi Azikie University with 4.25cgpa Mechanical Engineering in 2014

I served in 2016(NYSC). I DON FIND JOB TIRE OOOOOOO.
At a point, i gave up. I stopped applying for jobs. I just focused on playing piano in my church, and also, my father's business.


I was accepted into the university of Saskatchewan for Msc, 2019.

Then i was accepted for 2019 september term.

I was dupped of 450,000 naira by my friend's agent. Very long story. Then, i found out in August 28th 2019. By Then, it was already late. so i deferred again to 2020 January. I applied again through another agent. My money was refunded after wasting one month of precious time. I applied again, late November myself. No help from anyone. i gathered all documents with small account statement. I was denied in January 2020.



At this point i almost gaveeeeeee up ooooo.

But i picked up the courage again. Then i gathered all required documents and then appled again in June.

it took me 2 years before i was accepted for my masters. GOD helped me. HOLY INFANT JESUS helped me.I don't want to sound too religious. I am not. But i got this admission after i asked INFANT JESUS for help. HE told me that i will be accepted 10 days after applying for acceptance by a professor. IT HAPPENED. FEEL FREE TO DOUBT OR BELIEVE.


Please don't loose hope.

GOD is GREAT. I have my reasons.

- Avoid putting unnecessary documents.

Nothing like best bank here jare, all offering almost same. Usually new immigrants take advantage of what any of the banks are offering at the moment. E.g RBC will give iPad abi iPod, Scotiabank will do free 1yr banking no charges etc

Yes this is my second time. I am worried because i have noticed that bvl without aip first is a bad sign. Do you know of anyone that got the approval without aip first?

Most banks have a limit of $100 monthly which is below the application fee.
Try Access bank or GTB. Their's is $300 and $200 respectively.

i did have 2 jobs, but i had no overtime on any of them, just regular hours. But like you said, the society one lives in matters a lot. I love Nigeria, but trust me, as a shell contract staff, i put in a lot of work, and transportation alone from island to mainland gulped about 5 extra unpaid hours in my day, and then you go back home to no light, noise from generator, security issues, LASMA, road safety, and SARS. No matter how we look at it, no matter the tax, no matter the bills, the peace of mind in a civilized country outside Nigeria can never be overemphasized.

Please from your experience what is the best bank for saving in Canada.

I saw an Applicant's GCM note recently who got AIP, his Application was sent to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, South East, Asia

Seems CIC sent Study Permit Applications to other Continents e.g. ASIA, cos of the COVID-19 Pandemic which has caused the availability of Limited Staffs in some Visa Processing Offices,
cos most response i have heard of are bin sent from Nairobi, Ottawa & Edmonton. (They might be more though).
