Politics / Re: Pope Francis Honours Willie Obiano With Knight Title (photos) by LordMarquis(m): 1:25am On Jan 17, 2020
How much is the annual budget of the whole Anambra state that Obiano would buy a knighthood from the Pope (who himself is a recognised head of state with ambassadors to the UN and over 100 other countries)?
tegafej:
So does it mean people can buy their way to the Pope too?

Indeed money answereth all things.

Thank you for your reply bro. But I have another issue:

If they are going to request for a hard copy evidence of the IELTS result at the exam/interview venue, does it mean that they would collect the copy from us? Or is it just to show them and then keep it to ourselves?

Thank you.

It's just for inspection; it will be returned to you.

Interview or exams you mean?
It's an exam

Frankeruks:

Yeah, I did.

But I received an email today from the NLNG Postgraduate Scholarship Admin. They said I didn't fill in my IELTS score during my application, and they further asked me to send a scanned copy of my IELTS result to them by email on/before 27 May 2019 or forfeit being shortlisted in the next stage.
I honestly don't know what to reply them as I haven't taken the IELTS test.
Please someone should advise me.

Then you should book the test ASAP. If you don't present the test report form (with a minimum overall score of 8 ) at the interview venue, you will not be allowed to sit the exam. Note however that booking the exam now doesn't guarantee that the result will be ready by the time of the interview (last year's interview was in late June/early July if I remember correctly).
Education / Re: Scholarship Application And The 2.1 Criterion by LordMarquis(m): 5:58pm On May 03, 2019
I understand your plight. However, foreign scholarships are meant for the best because they are very expensive and the sponsor has to ensure that only individuals who can cope with the intellectual rigours of postgraduate education are chosen else it will be a waste of resources. This is particularly true for foreign scholarships which require that you combine the stress of settling down into a new culture with academic stress. While it is true that some people with Second Class Lower can do well if given the opportunity, individuals with First Class Honours will arguably do better because, all things being equal, they have a broader background knowledge. That's just the nature of scholarships.

My advice, as someone else suggested, is that you apply for a master's degree in Nigeria. If you can complete your masters with a distinction and you get some relevant work/volunteer experience and, preferably, a good publication (journal article), you should be able to get a PhD scholarship.

I wish you the best.

For where? GE and Pratt&Whitney are the best. Both are American vompanies; Rolls-Royce comes 3rd, followed by Snecma of France.

I trust them. They're the best in making of airplane engines smiley

Education / Re: Aarinola Olaiya, Obafemi Awolowo University Best Graduating Student by LordMarquis(m): 11:36pm On Dec 13, 2018

Op... she isn't d overall best graduating student .The overall best graduating student is Irewole Ezekiel Ariyo with cgpa of 4.85. stop misleading people
The College of Health Sciences doesn't use CGPA. If they did, her CGPA would be more than 4.85. Don't forget that Zoology runs based on semesters and students are tested based on what they learnt over three months. Medicine is a sessional course and students are tested on what they learnt over a whole session. Furthermore, the Zoology guy needed to be consistent for 4 years while this lady did it over 6 years. Hence, her feat is more impressive than even a CGPA of 5.0 in Zoology.
