hey mister! u might want to look back at what i said. i believe that the students were issued a RULE BOOK governing the runnings of the school. and it is not an issue of the Bible in the immediate context. we arent so sure that there have not been several warnings before the final decision to expel him. i also said that if they arent down with the rules, the door was wide open for him to leave anyway. but he stayed, and he will pay, because the acceptance of admission there meant acceptance of the prevailing rules of the school.

I agree that uniformity in school Unifroms in Nigeria is rather hard to come by especially because 95% od schools dont necessarily have a steady source of getting these uniforms, however! These variance are not a function of a large alteration like adding a Hijab or a Headscarf, they are simple variance in shades & tint of the colors, fitness and such.

I put it to you that NO SCHOOL where berets are a part of their uniform will tolorate students altering their berets for bandanas and scarfs!! ALSO!! Saying that Berets are a Christian religous head wear makes you sound like a really desparate liar! The Nigerian Army, Navy, Airforce & Police all wear berets as well, I guess its a Christian religous addition to their Uniforms as well abi?! like i said, it is not like i like the rules either, and they may need to also take guidance and counselling into strong consideration because these are very young people. but until then, i still maintain that it is their rule, and they made it clear to every prospective student from the beginning. anyone that tries to defy any rule does so at his/her own risk.

but i still feel they have rules for sleeping. it is a Christian school. they should sleep with pyjamas or some other approved dressing. its the same with catholic convents nah.
but they were wrong to have a male hall officer barge into the room sha. he should be removed from the school. they cannot hammer on the students alone.

funny enough, it is not like i am down with the restrictive laws of that school but,
a schoolgirl getting pregnant for the first time and who hitherto had never had a disciplinary issue is immediately expelled. there is no time for reform. sure she is talked to, but she is definitely getting expulsion.
a guy who is discovered to be a cultist does not need to be caught in activity, and can face expulsion/rustication risks anytime.
in my secondary school, some guys caught smoking tins were immediately expelled because they were a threat to the school's image and the students in general.
i stand to be corrected, but i still think that if you dont like the school's overdo, then BEAT IT ALREADY! you must not feel among as those who went to expensive universities. just cool down and crack your head for jamb that would earn you admission into a FREER and more CONDUSIVE environment that you feel will also accommodate your cravings for rottenness.

Every now and then Coventnat University is in the news for human right abuses. NUC should please check this trend before it will get to a stage where students will stand up for there rights.
