It's PPR Guys....As usual, long post alert! My timeline is below .. Decision to travel: In 2017, A good friend of mine couldn’t attend my wedding and He promised me he will make it up to me by giving me the best wedding gift ever. As usual, I was just like…story! He then went on to tell me about the whole express entry thing and said to me that if I just start this process by the time I have my PPR I will acknowledge that this information surpasses all the gifts I will remember getting at my wedding. Lo and behold….He was right! Although I was not too sure I wanted to relocate cos life was good for us here and I was in the final stages of finishing our own home. So I was always like…will I not live in this house that I spent years building? My wife just said we should do it for our unborn kids so we can give birth to them there. And so the journey began. 1st ECA: IQAS October 2017. I sent my MBA documents to IQAS from the school I did my MBA with in India. This was after I spent 3 months trying to get the school to send the documents to IQAS. December 2017 I got a credit alert of the application fee returned back to my account because they said the school was not in their list of accredited universities. 2nd ECA: WES December 2017 I switched to WES but this time I chose to use my first degree so no stories go dey. With the verification (Nigerian University) wahala I eventually concluded that in July 2018. IELTS: July 2018 LSRW 8876.5. Applied for remark but it stayed the same. After using the CRS score calculator we realized there was no way we could hit above 440 with me as the PA. Hence my wife became the PA and enrolled for IELTS in the same month. With limited time to prepare and being 7 months pregnant I didn’t think she will pull through. I remember telling her to wee before starting the exam cos she won’t be able to do that during the exam. But, well what can I say... Her IELTS: December 2018 LSRW 8.5897.5 ECA: This was where UniBen showed us pepper with strike mata it took Eight months to get that one sorted out. CRS Score: 441 ITA: 22nd August 2018 AOR: 15th September 2018 Long silence And then the worst happened. We had moved into our home in August and one day on my way back from work I was kidnapped. After the ordeal we moved out of the house and that was the moment when I realized that I had to leave this country. It wasn’t a matter of doing it for the kids anymore. The same house I was clinging to I wasn’t able to live in for up to 3 months. GCMS notes: January 2018 (looked ok, sent an email to ralph and he told us that nothing had been started) ADR: March 21st 2019 by this time madam was preggy with baby number 2 and we knew we couldn’t have the baby in Canada. Now we were hoping the PPR will come after the birth of our baby so we can add the new born to our profile. 23rd April: PPR 24th of April: Our baby arrives We quickly hustled birth certificate and informed Accra about our new born on the same day. We got a response to submit all additional documents for baby within 30days. We were not sure if we were to expect another PPR for the 4 of us so I delayed this announcement but we just got confirmation that we are to upload the baby’s documents and send all passports to Accra before that date. I want to thank everyone on this Thread…I have been a silent reader from the beginningbut I have gained much information from the folks here. Thank you all. 91 Likes 2 Shares |

[quote author=abbey4christ post=72033608]Make una respond biko, ejo, duala for those that have done biometrics Good morning all. I am new to this..by that I mean posting but this thread has been very helpful. I have a peculiar problem and i want to know if anyone here has been in my shoes. I and my wife had tries to visit Canada last year and in so doing underwent the bio metrics checks. We were denied the visa. Now, we have submitted our PR application for the express entry. We both received the instruction to proceed for ourbio metrics yesterday morning. This was strange as i am aware that biometrics are valid for 10 years. Later yesterday evening we received a mail that an update has been made on our cic account. We checked the account only to see that we have been issued biometrics numbers, Date of biometrics enrolment and expiry date. Now the date of enrolment tallys with the date we dis the biometrics last year and the expiry date is the same date in 2027. This been said, on the application steps under biometrics it still says that " we need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details" Now we dont know if we should still go to Lagos to do the biometrics or if the one we did last year will suffice. We already paid for the biometrics as part of our application fee before submission of our application. I hope someone here can help me..as i have 30 days to make a decision on whether to travel or not. All responses will be appreciated. Thanks |
