Car Talk / Must Konw: The 10 Most Reliable Honda Models Ever Built, Ranked by Lovestories1: 7:12pm On Jul 23
It's no secret that Japan produces some of the most well-built cars on the planet, with brands such as Toyota, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, and Nissan consistently rated highly by auto critics for their reliability and value. Honda is yet another manufacturer that is renowned for making affordable, economical, and durable cars. Models like the Civic, Accord, and CR-V have been common fixtures on driveways all over the world for decades.

Like many influential auto manufacturers, Honda started out in the bicycle business. After being established in 1948, Honda made its first auxiliary motors for push-bikes before branching out into fully-fledged motorcycles and then automobiles with the 1963 T360 compact pickup truck. By 1982 it had gone international, with a plant in North America, and had developed a highly automated manufacturing process that helped boost production and further expand its position in the global market.

While it may not be quite as popular as the largest Japanese brand, Toyota, the Hondas of today are nonetheless progressive, innovative, and dependable. However, which have been the most reliable models in such a competitive market? Here we have considered studies from aggregation sites like J.D. Power, Kelley Blue Book, Consumer Reports, and others to rank the most dependable Hondas ever built.

10. 2011 Honda Civic

Introduced in 1973, the Honda Civic has a long and storied past, with the first generation being a sporty four-door hatchback that predated Volkswagen's famous Golf by a year. It has since gone on to become something of a shapeshifter among automobiles, having appeared as a four-door sedan, a sporty coupe, and a hot hatch, while the recent 11th-generation has a liftback profile. By 2020, Kelley Blue Book had rated it the Best Buy within its compact segment six years in a row.

With such a varied production history that included some vastly different models, there is much to consider when deciding upon the top Civic, but the 2012 model year offering was most likely the best so far in terms of reliability. Produced as a sedan or coupe for the North American market and a hatchback for the more compact-friendly Europeans, the former had a demure profile, while the latter looked fresh and sporty.

The previous eighth-generation Civic, which arrived in 2006, had been dogged by reliability issues after the odometer hit the 100,000-mile mark, as cracks, quite literally, began to appear in its engine block. After the global financial crisis hit, Honda must have realized that dependability was their customers' biggest priority, and the ninth-generation 2011 Honda Civic was a vast improvement. It set the standard for subsequent generations of Civic, with a lifespan of around 250,000 miles that outclassed rivals such as Toyota's pricier Corolla.

9. 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid

Hybrid cars are a vital technology from an environmental perspective as we continue to transition into a progressively eco-friendly society. While hybrids have been around for quite some time, having actually been invented all the way back in 1899, they became widespread in 1997 with the introduction of the Toyota Prius, followed closely by the two-seater Honda Insight in 1999. As such, the Insight had a successful run of twenty years to hone its craft by the time it released the 2019 model year, third-generation Insight, which by now had sprouted two extra doors and a row of rear seats.

Highly rated for its fuel economy as a hybrid, the Honda Insight has grown exponentially in popularity with its most recent iteration, having sold almost 24,000 units in 2019 in the U.S. alone. Its reputation is buoyed by the fact that the frequency of repairs is low for this segment, and while the Insight is rather unassuming in its looks and features, it comes highly rated for its efficiency and dependability.

Having undergone stringent road testing, the Insight does show some weaknesses after a long distance traveled, but no car is indestructible, even a Honda. Most issues related to peripheral parts, and importantly, the engine stood up well after the good folks at Car and Driver magazine put it through its paces over 40,000 miles. While this is all well and good, when things do go wrong with the Honda Insight, unscheduled repairs tend to be costly, with the severity of issues being above average, placing the 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid lower in our ranking.

8. 1991 Honda Prelude

When we think of a Honda car, the imagination is usually drawn to its line of practical family sedans and hatchbacks, but it has a successful history of producing compact sport coupes. One of these was the Honda Prelude, which went on to become one of the most complex within its class, which included Toyota's formidable Supra.

Having started life in 1978 as a rather boxy but elegant coupe that used the Accord's engine, brakes, and suspension, the Honda Prelude coupe was really starting to find its feet by the time its fourth-generation model was released in 1991. Just by looks alone, you could see that this was a different animal as compared to previous generations, with a more streamlined, curved body that may look dated today but was a real head-turner in the early 1990s.

The Prelude's aesthetics were complemented by its trusty inline four-cylinder 2.2-liter engine, which was available as a Si variant with Honda's patented VTEC valve timing technology and four-wheel steering, as could be experienced by players of "Grand Turismo 3." As far as reliability was concerned, the power plants on the later fourth-generation models were very dependable within their high-revving segment, although mass-market Hondas were more reliable on the whole, which is why our trailblazing sports coupe only makes eighth place on this ranking.

7. 2022 Honda Odyssey

Even before Walter White from "Breaking Bad" first graced our televisions in his Pontiac Aztek, minivans were ubiquitous as the practical vehicle of choice for large families and tradespeople. Yet it hasn't always been this way, and in 1994, the Honda Odyssey was something of a curiosity among the car-buying public, with only a few predecessors within the segment from brands that included Chrysler and Renault.

The Odyssey, Honda's first minivan, has proved highly popular since its introduction. By keeping up with the developing global minivan market — which is now worth over 100 billion dollars annually — it has gone from strength to strength, and the 2022 model has garnered much praise for its reliability and drivability. Car rating guru J.D. Power has recently rated it the best minivan against such respected competitors as the Chrysler Pacifica, Toyota Sienna, and Kia Carnival with a reliability rating of 81 out of 100, and it appears to hold its resale value, as a practical and dependable vehicle.

The 2022 Honda Odyssey also received the top safety pick from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS), which is a great accolade for a family-oriented vehicle. Add to this its pleasing aesthetics, practical features, and a full complement of accessories, and the car ticks most boxes, although it is too early to rate for long-term performance. Hence, it ranks number seven here.

6. 2022 Honda Passport

The mid-sized SUV segment has been growing steadily for years, with models like the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Subaru Outback, and Honda's original Passport having been around since the 1990s. However, the modern compromise between the latter-day city juggernaut and the family saloon occupies a practical space in the modern market as a family-friendly vehicle that is as well-suited to driving on country back roads as it is parking in a busy lot.

As the brand's leading mid-sized SUV, the Passport, while uninspiring from a styling perspective, is nonetheless a very reliable car across successive releases, although the 2022 variant is a standout model. While it did lose some points in practical studies for its fuel economy and range, the Passport offers drivers a fun driving experience with plenty of gadgets thrown in for good measure and a satisfying engine note to add a little sparkle.

What of the 2022 Passport's reliability? According to the J.D. Power report, the Passport excelled with a score of 83 out of 100 points for quality and reliability, losing out only to the Nissan Murano, the Chevy Blazer, and the Toyota 4Runner. Again, the new iteration of the Passport might be a little young to rate for long-term reliability, but the outlook is promising based on what we have seen so far.

5. 2018 Honda Fit

Honda has produced some truly aspirational cars over the years, such as the thrilling S2000, the nippy Civic Type R, and the asphalt-burning NSX. While the Honda Fit doesn't quite make this list, it isn't supposed to, and that's okay. Known as the Honda Jazz in some markets, this is one of the most practical and affordable hatchbacks in Honda's fleet, and it lives up to its task commendably.

This deceptively large-capacity small car is a dependable prospect that gives options from Chevrolet and other big Japanese marques like Mitsubishi, Toyota, and Nissan a run for their money in its competitive segment. While its driving dynamics may be uninspiring and technology may be a little lacking, it still represents great value for its approximate $17,000 price point.

When it comes to reliability, the Honda Fit reached new heights with its 2018 release. This new model had a sporty trim and optional leather seats, but most importantly, it trounced the competition when tested for dependability, from its engine to its infotainment system, and continued to do so in subsequent years. While it is obviously not a high-performance car, the Fit is certainly fit for purpose as a worthy and practical hatchback that will serve you well.

The 10 Best Movies To Watch On Netflix in July 2024

Also Read: THE FULL LIST OF FORBES NAMES 50 MOST INFLUENTIAL RAPPERS OF ALL TIME

We get excited each month when a fresh slate of movies streams onto Netflix, which offers more and more cinematic material to sift through on a near-daily basis. But as the month comes closer and closer to its end, there’s always a more pressing matter at hand—the movies leaving Netflix. And July has some doozies heading out that you don’t want to miss. From an Oscar-winning drama about a father’s drive to help his daughters achieve their tennis dreams, to a largely forgotten 1990s dark comedy from one of Hollywood’s most brilliant (and twisted) minds, to one of the most visually intoxicating sci-fi films of the past decade, there are ample choices available to you between now and the end of July.

So where do you start? I’m here to help. Below, I’ve got ten moves leaving Netflix in July 2024 that you do not want to miss. And at the bottom of the article, you’ll find a full list of every single option that’s leaving Netflix by August 1. I hope that I can inspire you to watch at least one of the following movies, because I genuinely love each of them and give them all my highest recommendation.

THE 10 BEST MOVIES LEAVING NETFLIX IN JULY 2024
1. King Richard (2021)

Also Read: THE FULL LIST OF FORBES NAMES 50 MOST INFLUENTIAL RAPPERS OF ALL TIME

While watching King Richard, I was overcome with the realization that...you just don’t see acting like this anymore. Trust me, there’s great acting happening all the time in movies. But the overt drama, the fantastic performances given by the likes of Will Smith (who won an Oscar for this movie) and Aunjanue Ellis and Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton, the unadulterated portrayal of a family working together to achieve something great—King Richard immerses you in drama in a manner I believe is rare. Which is why you should watch it if you haven’t already. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, this biographical sports drama follows the story of Richard Williams, who rigorously coaches his daughters, Serena and Venus Williams, to tennis greatness. Despite numerous obstacles and constant skepticism from the tennis community, the Williams family bands together to persevere and, ultimately, come out on top.

2. Looper (2012)

Before everybody seemingly got mad at Rian Johnson for directing Star Wars: The Last Jedi, he was known as an auteur who worked his way up from the independent community, a filmmaker with a specific, uncompromising vision, an artist whose movies explored the human condition, the universal struggles that plague our lives. While both Brick and The Brothers Bloom had unique stories and displayed Johnson’s signature style—innovative narrative structures, a constant building of tension, and clear influences from classic cinema—Looper is where Johnson’s ideas became electric. This sci-fi movie set in the distant future follows a man named Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who’s a “looper” for a living. This means he’s a hitman who offs people sent back from the future. But things become complicated when Joe from the future (Bruce Willis) suddenly becomes the target. Thematically, Looper is all about how we utilize our time, how our fates are not predestined, how time functions as a result of free will, how can alter the course of time based on the life we lead.

3. Waves (2019)

It’s funny that we hear so much about every single A24 movie, given their intense marketing and ability to find innovatively told stories...but then there are movies that go completely under the radar. Waves is one such film. And that’s too bad, because director Trey Edward Shults deserves more love for his psychological drama. This incredibly underrated film thrives on vibrant and fluid handheld camerawork from cinematographer Drew Daniels that immerses you in the story, pulsates with a haunting and atmospheric sound design from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross that captures the characters’ emotional states, and comes right at you with bold and unconventional editing from Schults and Isaac Hagy that creates a sense of disorientation and urgency. All in all, Waves is a sensory experience you shouldn’t miss. The movie chronicles the life of an African-American family in South Florida—specifically, the son, Tyler, whose life spirals after mounting pressures from his father, and the daughter, Emily, who falls for a boy at school—as they navigate love, loss and reconciliation.

4. Glass (2019)

Reboots and sequels that come out years after the original are all the rage these days. From Ghostbusters to Jurassic Park to Halloween, movie theaters have become inundated not with new ideas, but with rehashes of old ideas. Sometimes it works out well (see Blade Runner 2049), while other times...well, not so much (ahem, Indiana Jones). But there’s one movie that, compared to all of those blockbuster hits, unfairly flew under the radar in 2019. I’m talking about the sequel to Unbreakable, aka Glass. This bold take on the superhero genre is actually the third film in a trilogy, with Split being the movie in the middle. It centers on David Dunn (Bruce Willis), a security guard who secretly holds superman abilities, who tracks down Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a man with multiple personalities known as “Beast.” Eventually, they are both imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital where they meet Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), also known as Mr. Glass, who faces off with them both in a battle of wits and strength.

5. Serial Mom (1994)

To be honest, I was utterly surprised this movie was available on Netflix in the first place, given how perverse it is. Serial Mom comes from the mind of John Waters (who has written some of the most entertaining memoirs I’ve ever read, by the way), who started his career making transgressive cult films like Pink Flamingos (one of my absolute favorites) and Female Trouble, but later found more commercial success with Hairspray and Cry-Baby. His movies are truly bizarre, one-of-a-kind experiences that make you laugh, make you cry, make you...well, make you kind of wish you hadn’t just seen that (in a good way?). Demented, psychotic, unhinged—these are all adjectives to describe his movies, and they certainly describe Serial Mom. This dark comedy follows Beverly Sutphin (Kathleen Turner), an ostensibly cookie-cutter suburban mom who is secretly twisted in the head. She covertly exacts revenge on those who offend her sense of propriety or threaten the happiness of her family (played by Sam Waterston, Ricki Lake and Matthew Lillard). This murder spree eventually attracts the police’s attention, leading to a chaotic and satirical exploration of American suburban life and the cult of celebrity.

6. Big Eyes (2014)

The legacy of Tim Burton is incontrovertible. Does this really need to be argued? You’ve got the original classic, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure. Then along came, in order, Bettlejuice, then Batman, then Edward Scissorhands (yes, I just listed the first four movies of his career). From thenceforth, you’ve got a mix of other revered, timeless flicks, from Ed Wood to Sleepy Hollow to Big Fish. And, yes, while he’s had a few missteps along the way, he’s also had a string of underrated films that never got the attention they deserved—and at the top of that list is Big Eyes, which tells the story of Margaret Keane (Amy Adams), a painter who sesignature portraits of children with oversized eyes become a sensation. However, her husband, Walter (Christoph Waltz), swoops in to take credit, claiming the paintings wouldn’t sell if everyone knew they were done by a women. The movie tracks her journey to reclaim her work and cement her status as a true artist. This period piece blossoms thanks to Burton’s trademark aesthetic, with realistic yet stylized visuals, rich symbolism and subdued gothic elements aiding this story’s exploration of artistry and identity.

7. Resident Evil: Retribution (2012)
Currently on Netflix, there are only two of the six live-action Resident Evil movies available: the original Resident Evil from 2002, and the fifth part of the hexalogy, which just happens to be one of the most underrated action movies ever, Resident Evil: Retribution. And while it might seem weird to only have two parts of this series available, I don’t think it matters at all. In fact, you can jump right into Retribution armed with nothing but a scarce understanding of the grand story and be just fine. The series follows a woman named Alice (Milla Jovovich), who becomes humanity’s last hope for survival following a virus outbreak from the Umbrella Corporation’s laboratory. In Retribution, Alice awakens in an Umbrella facility and must fight her way out, all while navigation a simulation that constantly toggles between fiction and reality. Here, you’ll find some of the most energetic gunfights and chase scenes ever, lots of masterfully choreographed fights, incredibly fast-paced editing and immersive visuals that full embrace 3D technology. Director Paul W.S. Anderson made several great Resident Evil movies, but Retribution is his masterpiece.

MEMORY VERSE: “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.” – Proverbs 18:22

BIBLE PASSAGE: Genesis 24:1-19

1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.
2 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:
3 And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.
5 And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?
6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.
7 The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.
10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.
11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.
12 And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.
13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:
14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.
15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.
16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.
18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.
19 And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: Marriage is ordained by God and it is a legal relationship between a man and a woman that should last for a life time. Gen. 2:22-23.
The step taken before going into this journey is very important to prevent pitfalls. In knowing God’s will therefore, you do not have to rely vague feelings and strange rituals.

LESSON OUTLINES

1. RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD FIRST

2. HOW DO WE RECOGNISE HIS WILL IN MARRIAGE?

1. RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD FIRST

Marriage is a creation of God, it all started from Him(Gen. 2:18).God will only guide His own(Jer. 10:23). He will not play a guessing game with His people(1 Cor. 14:33). He wants us to know and do His will and He is actively involved in revealing it. Therefore, before seeking God’s will in marriage, develop a relationship with Him(Psalm 119:105,130). You must not live your life in fear but in fellowship with God(2 Tim. 1:7). Develop your God’s given gift and master how God deals with or guides your steps( Psalm 85:8; 37:23). Discover your purpose through a relationship with Jesus Christ (John 18 :37). This will reduce stress, give your life meaning and prepare you for eternity (2 Peter 1:3-4). You must be found working in His vineyard like Adam and have a source of income( Gen. 2:15-18) because marriage is not for lazy people. Marriage is for matured adults, not juveniles.

2. HOW DO WE RECOGNISE HIS WILL IN MARRIAGE?The Scripture is clear about the fact

Anas (R.A) reported: Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is oppressed”. A man enquired: “O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I help him when he is oppressed, but how can I help him when he is an oppressor?” He (peace be upon him) said, “You can keep him from committing oppression. That will be your help to him”.

Religion / Religion Facts : Destiny And Free Will ( Is Life Free Will Or Destiny? ) by Lovestories1: 2:00am On Oct 28, 2018
By Salman Yazdani

February 1, 2003 – Shortly before the scheduled end of its 28th mission, space shuttle Columbia disintegrated over Texas and Louisiana as it reentered Earth’s atmosphere, killing all seven crew members. It was indeed an unexpected, abrupt and horrible end of a momentous journey.

Can anyone believe that NASA, by any stretch of imagination, expected this catastrophic end to Columbia? And, were they so careless as to neglect preparing themselves to the minutest details to avoid such disasters? Your answer to both these questions would most probably be ‘No.’ Then, why did it happen?

Of course, it was the choice of those seven crew members to travel in the space shuttle, but they didn’t opt for that tragic end. And, herein lies the difference between the Islamic concept of destiny and the free will we human beings possess – we’re free to choose our actions but God has ultimate control over the outcome of those actions. According to teachings of Islam, God (Allah in Arabic) has given humans free will to make choices in their lives but only God has foreknowledge of our destiny, and He has total control over it.

Is every event of our lives predetermined? Is our entire course laid out for us and no matter what we do or how we try to avoid it, our lives will unfold in some predetermined way? Is there such a thing as fate or destiny? If so, what about free will? Aren’t we supposed to have the freedom to choose our actions? Isn’t free will negated if fate exists?

Predestination: An Islamic Perspective
To understand the Islamic perspective on destiny and free will, we first need to know a few basic facts which form the foundation of faith for Muslims:

1- God is the Only Sustainer of the whole universe and He is the Most Merciful. The Quran begins with, “Praise belongs to God, Lord of the Worlds, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy…” (1:1-2)

2- God has created humans in the finest state. God mentions in the Quran: “We have certainly created man in the best of stature.” (95:4)

3- The primary objective of human life is to worship God. “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” (Quran, 51:56). It must be noted that the Islamic concept of worship encompasses all human endeavors that are pursued for just ends, and in accordance with God’s commandments.

4- Our life is a test and we’ll be judged for our actions in the hereafter. God says in the Quran, “Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power; He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.” (67:1-2).

5- He’s All Wise, and He tests us according to our strength. The Quran cites: “God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear: each gains whatever good it has done, and suffers its bad.” (2:286)

6- God is Omniscient and Omnipresent – i.e., he is fully aware of His creation and is always present. He is also All Powerful, so whatever He decrees takes place, and whatever He does not will does not happen. God – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (2:255)

In other words, humans are God’s best creation who have a special purpose in life, i.e., to worship Him. Islam teaches that in order for us to freely perform in the test of life, He has given us free will to lead our lives as we wish, but the outcome of each of our actions is governed by the will of God. If God does not will for something to take place, it will not happen no matter how hard we try. And if He wills for something to occur, it will transpire no matter what we do to stop it.

One may say then, “What’s the use of striving in this life if we will get what is already decreed by God?” This seems logical, but it is, of course, a misconception. In fact, Islam places great emphasis on making efforts towards a desired end. In the Quran, God says, “And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives And that his effort is going to be seen – Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense And that to your Lord is the finality”(53:39-42).

” Again, making an effort is part of the power we have in the form of free will – if we waste it away with a complacent attitude, then we’re being ungrateful for the blessing we have. We must do everything within our power to optimize our lives – at the same time, we must recognize that God’s power and domain are far greater. He is not thinking only about us, but for the entire humanity, the whole world, nay, the universe itself! He is the One who, through destiny, balances the lives of humans, animals, plants, while at the same time harmonizing planets and other celestial bodies. ”

Religion / Qu’ran Story : The Story Of Prophet Adam – Part I by Lovestories1: 6:07pm On Oct 23, 2018
Allah Almighty revealed in the Quran (what means): “And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels: ‘Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.’ They said: ‘Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?’ He [Allah] said: ‘Indeed, I know that which you do not know.’ And He taught Aadam the names – all of them.

Then He showed them to the angels and said: ‘Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.’ They said: ‘Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.’ He said: ‘O Aadam! Inform them of their names.’ And when he had informed them of their names, He said: ‘Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed.’ And [mention] when We said to the angels: ‘Prostrate before Aadam’; so they prostrated, except for Iblees [Satan]. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers. And We said: ‘O Aadam! Dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.’

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said: ‘Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time.’ Then Aadam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. We said: ‘Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs – those will be companions of Fire; they will abide therein eternally.'” [Quran 2:30-39]

Almighty Allah also revealed (what means): “And We have certainly created you, [O mankind], and given you [human] form. Then We said to the angels: ‘Prostrate to Aadam’; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was not of those who prostrated. [Allah] said: ‘What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?’ [Satan] said: ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay [i.e. earth].’ [Allah] said: ‘Descend from it [i.e. Paradise], for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get out; indeed, you are of the debased.’ [Satan] said: ‘Reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected.’ [Allah] said: ‘Indeed, you are of those reprieved.’ [Satan] said: ‘Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them [i.e. mankind] on Your straight path.

Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You].’ [Allah] said: ‘Get out of it [i.e. Paradise], reproached and expelled, Whoever follows you among them – I will surely fill Hell with you, all together.’ And: ‘O Aadam! Dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat from wherever you will but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.’ But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. He said: ‘Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal.’ And he swore [by Allah] to them: ‘Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors.’ So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And their Lord called to them: ‘Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?’ They said: ‘Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.’ [Allah] said: ‘Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment [i.e. provision] for a time.’ He said: ‘Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth.’” [Quran 7:11-25]

When Allah the Almighty created Aadam, may Allah exalt his mention, He addressed His angels and told them to prostrate before him. The purpose behind that was not to ask their opinion or take their advice, for He is above that. Allah the Exalted told them that He was going to create a vicegerent on the earth who would have offspring. That is why the angels said to Allah the Almighty (what means): “…Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood…” [Quran: 2:30]

According to the prominent Muslim scholar Qataadah it was said that the angels were informed about the creation of Aadam, may Allah exalt his mention, and his progeny by the jinn who lived before Aadam, may Allah exalt his mention. Abdullaah bin ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the jinn had existed for many years before Aadam, may Allah exalt his mention, and had shed one another’s blood. Therefore, Allah sent on them an army of angels that drove them out to the depths of the seas. Ibn Abu Haatim, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the angels were informed by Allah that man would cause wickedness and shed blood on earth.

Whether or not these traditions are correct, the angels did understand that Allah would create a vicegerent on earth. Allah the Almighty announced that He was going to create a human being out of clay, that He would mould him and blow His spirit into him and that the angels should then prostrate before him.

TOPIC – Partners (Not Staff) In Christian Service

OPENING PRAYER: Father, help me to follow Christ to the very end.

MEMORY VERSE: “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” – John 15:15

BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Corinthians 3:6-9

6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

LESSON INTRODUCTION:

By definition, a partner is a person who takes part in an undertaking with another or others, especially in a business or firm with shared risk and profits. A staff is an employee of an organisation. Unlike the contemporary workplace, believers are expected to be partners together with Christ. Our commitment should be motivated by reward/wages as staff but as partners.

TEXT REVIEW: 1 COR.3:6-9 – “SYNERGY FOR THE KINGDOM”

Unity in the ministry was demonstrated in such a way that the grace of God in the life of an individual was allowed to grow until such an individual has grown into perfection. Acts 18:24- 28. We may not understand in the duo Of Paul and Apollos and how the greater encouraged the lesser to build for the kingdom.

Acts 18 : 24-28 indicated that Apollos as a Jew and was born at Alexandra. He was eloquent and mighty in scriptures. Acts 18:24. He was fervent in the Spirit. He spoke mightily in the public, convincing the Jews that Jesus was Christ. Acts 18:28. But he had only the Baptist of John the Baptist, and had not the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

However, Aquila and Priscilla saw value in the apparent weakness of Apollos and decided to brace him up more perfectly,Acts 18:26. Similarly the brethren at Ephesus writes to those in Achaia to receive Apollos highlighting how God had mightily used him. Acts 18:28

This is unity, this is synergy in action. This same Spirit of unity worked in Apostle Paul (who spoke more perfectly the mystery with God’s wisdom and was filled with the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 2:6-7) when he wrote, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave increase”. 1 Cor. 3:6.

Apollos could have opted to be General Overseer in his own right while Paul too in his own right and would have heard their followers (1 Cor. 3:4), but instead, Apostle Paul advocated unity (1 Cor. 3:8-9) and called on those who had thought otherwise to come together as co-labourers and build together for the sake of the kingdom. 1 Cor. 3:8

LESSON OUTLINE 2: CO-LABOURERS ON EARTH
Religion / Must Read : The 30 Facts About Islam by Lovestories1: 12:32pm On Oct 14, 2018
Must Read : The 30 Facts about Islam

1) “Islam” means “surrender” or “submission”. “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”.

2) “Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”. By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will. In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them.

3) Islam is not a new religion or cult. It is a universal way of life and civilization. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.

4) There are five pillars of practice in Islam. These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.

5) There are six articles of faith in Islam. These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.

6) Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah” which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. Yet Jesus spoke a different language, referring to God as “Eloi” in Mark 15:34 of the New Testament. Are “God” and “Eloi” different gods? Many Hispanics call God “Dios” and many French say “Dieu”. It would logically follow then that people who refer to God as “Allah” in the Arabic language are referring to the very same God. In fact, many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God “Allah”. And the word “Allah” is written in Arabic script on the walls of many Arab churches and on the pages of Arabic Bibles. So while the understanding of God may differ between faith groups, the various names used to describe Him does not change the fact that the one Creator of the Universe is the God of all people.

7) The Islamic concept of God is that He is loving, merciful and compassionate. Islam also teaches that He is all-knowing and the perfect judge of affairs, and will punish (or forgive) accordingly. However, Allah once said to Muhammad, “My mercy prevails over my wrath”. So Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protecting one from both complacency and despair.

cool Muslims believe that God has revealed 99 of His names, or attributes, in the Qur’an. It is through these names that one can come to know the Creator. A few of these names are the All-Merciful, the All-Knower, the Protector, the Provider, the Near, the First, the Last, the Hidden and the Source of All Peace.

9) The Christian concept of “vicarious atonement” (the idea that Jesus died for the sins of humanity) is alien to the Islamic concept of personal responsibility. Islam teaches that on the Day of Judgment every person will be resurrected and will be accountable to God for their every word and deed. Consequently, a practicing Muslim is always striving to be righteous while hoping and praying for God’s acceptance and grace.

10) Muslims believe in all of the true prophets that preceded Muhammad, from Adam to Jesus. Muslims believe they brought the same message of voluntarily surrendering to God’s will (islam, in a generic sense) to different peoples at different times. Muslims also believe they were “muslims” (again, in a generic sense) since they followed God’s true guidance and surrendered their will to Him.

11) Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him. Muslims worship the Unseen, Omniscient Creator, Allah.

12) Muslims accept the original unaltered Torah (as revealed to Moses) and the original unaltered Bible (as revealed to Jesus) since they were revealed by God. But none of these scriptures exist today in their original form or in their entirety. Therefore, Muslims follow the subsequent, final and preserved revelation of God, the Qur’an.

Psalms 15:1-5 (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 7 October 2018)

1 (A Psalm of David.) LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

INTRODUCTION:

The journey to holiness begins with a total submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit. God is holy and cannot condone sin. Isaiah 59:2 because everything about him is holy. 1 Peter 1:16. Hence, believers are commanded to live holy in order to be like God. Matthew 5:48. To fulfill this mandate, believers must understand the reasons for holy living and the benefits that accompany it.

LESSON AIM: To study the reasons and benefits of Holiness to believers.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: Through the lesson, students should be able to:

(i) Understand why believers must be holy.
(ii) Discover the benefits of holiness.
TEACHING PLAN: To achieve the above-stated objectives, teachers should allow:
(i) Students to take the opening prayer, recite the memory verse, contribute and participate in the teaching, do class activities and assignment.
(ii) Assistant teacher to conduct the class, mark attendance, grade performance and mark the assignment.
(iii)Teach outlines, administer class activities, summarize, conclude, evaluate and give assignment.

TEXT REVIEW: PSALMS 15:1-5 “HOLINESS OR NOTHING”

The Psalmist enumerated the requirements to enjoy constant fellowship with the Lord. The two (2) key words in verse 1, “abide” and “dwell” suggest intimate relationship and fellowship with God. Who is this person that would satisfy the conditions? The Amplified Bible version would be consulted as witness.

(i) He/she must be blameless (uprightly). Verse 2.
(ii) He/she must do justice and speak and think truth from the heart. Verse 2.
(iii) He/she must not slander. Verse 3.
(iv) He/she must not do evil to friend or reproach neighbor. Verse 3.
(v) He/she does not honour morally low or despicable person. Verse 4
(vi) He/she honours those who reverence and worship God. Verse 4.
(vii) What so ever he says, he is bound by it. Verse 4.
(viii) He/she does not put out his money for interest. Verse 5.
(ix) He/she does not take bribe against innocent. Verse 5.
Judging from the above requirements, you can determine those who are qualified to be truly called holy person and who deserve honour. But the truth is that whatever separates a believer from being holy has taken away the person from divine presence and riches. What is left for such believer is nothing. Jesus said, “… for

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

TEXT REVIEW JOHN 3:1-21 – NICODEMUS ENCOUNTER.

Nicodemus, a significant personality engaged Jesus Christ in some down-to-earth questions and the following truth about the personality of Jesus and His father’s kingdom were revealed:
(i) To see his father’s kingdom, salvation is the entry visa. John 3:3.
(ii) To enter the kingdom, you must pass through the gate of the word and fire of the Spirit. John 3:5, 8. (iii)You have no portion in the kingdom if you are born by the flesh. John 3:6.
(iv)Faith is the foreign language to understand happenings in the kingdom. “We speak what we know” but you don’t receive it”. John 3:11-12.
(v) Because Jesus alone came down from heaven, he knows the way back to heaven, his father’s kingdom. John 3:13.
(vi)Those who are doomed for death now have hope of escape from the kingdom of perdition to the kingdom of life provided that they can enter through the lifted eternal door. John 3:14-15,17.

“And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” – Luke 17:17

BIBLE PASSAGE:

Luke 17:11-19 (RCCG Sunday School STUDENT Manual 16 September 2018)
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

INTRODUCTION:

Ingratitude negates the will of God (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It is a sign of backsliding. Though people are ungrateful for various reasons, we must not be ingrates because of its attendant dangers (Romans 1:21-22).
LESSON OUTLINES
1. Reasons for ingratitude
2. Dangers of ingratitude

REASONS FOR INGRATITUDE

The primary reason for ingratitude is sin which is as a result of spiritual blindness (Isaiah 29:16; Romans 1:21-22,28). Other reasons include:
1. Failure to take account of what God has done (Psalm 103:1-3).
2. Ignorance, foolishness and slowness of heart (Luke 17:17; 24:25; Deuteronomy 32:6).
3. Spiritual immaturity and insensitivity (Luke 24:13-16, Psalm 106:7).
4. Keeping of bad company (1Corinthians 15:33).
5. Pride, as in the case of Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4:22-25,30-31).

DANGERS OF INGRATITUDE

Anyone with an attitude of ingratitude stands the risk of losing his/her blessings, salvation and ultimately Heaven (2 Samuel 6:20-23, Luke 12:16-21). Ingratitude may be regarded as an act of wickedness. Anyone who is ungrateful to God is attracting a curse to himself (Proverbs 3:33) or limiting his/her blessings. Ingratitude is blocking the greater blessings of many believers today (Luke 17:17-19). Inability to access the presence of God (Psalm 100:3-4) and turning into an enemy of God (Romans 1:21,28, Numbers 14:2-4,11-12) are other dangers of ingratitude.

Religion / RCCG Sunday School Teacher’s Manual Sep 9, Lesson 2 ; Thanksgiving: When And How by Lovestories1: 2:13am On Sep 09, 2018
TOPIC — Thanksgiving: When and How?

OPENING PRAYER

Almighty Father, let my mouth open to praise you always. Let me have the right attitude to thanksgiving always.

MEMORY VERSE:

“I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”– Psalm 34:1

BIBLE PASSAGE: Luke 17:11-19

LESSON INTRODUCTION:

In the world we live, many believe that most things they get are their rights. They believe in their sweat, smartness and intellect, hence, they see no reason they should give thanks to anyone, not even the Almighty (Zechariah 4:6). For believers, this is not only wrong but wicked and dangerous act. For instance, in Luke 17:17-19, only one of the lepers returned to give thanks to the Lord. He was heal and also made whole while the remaining nine were only heal but not make whole

MEMORY VERSE: “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” – Psalm 136:1

BIBLE PASSAGE: Psalm 100:1-5 (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 2 September 2018)

1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Opening Prayer: Lord God Almighty, help me to thank you always for your goodness and mercy.(Scroll down for RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 2 September 2018)

INTRODUCTION:

It is the will of God for Christians to be thankful to Him (1Thessalonians 5:18). It is the master key to gaining entrance into His gate (Psalm 100:4). When thanksgiving is complemented with praise, you have access into God’s master bedroom (Courts). The primary reason God created us in His image is for fellowship, dominion and to show forth His praise (Isaiah 43:21; 1Peter 2:9).

TEXT REVIEW: PSALM 100:1-5 – FIVE THINGS GOD LOVES

The psalmist identify five(5) things that God does not joke with:
i. Joyful noise (Believers should be joyful noise makers) Psalms 100:1
ii. Service with gladness (God hates service with bitterness and acrimony) Psalm 100:2a
iii. Singing in His presence ( God hates moaning and groaning) Psalm 100:2b
iv. Thanksgiving in all His gates ( Not complaints giving) Psalm 100:4a
v. Blessing His name ( Not berating His name) Psalm 100:4b
Giving the above- stated gifts to God at all times indicates that we are (believers)appreciate Him for His goodness. (Psalm 100:5b). It also confirms that we accept Him as God and we are His children. Psalm 100:3.

LESSON OUTLINES

1. Why give thanks?
2. Some benefits of thanksgiving.

Why should believers give thanks to God?
Answer:
A. For His goodness to us:

19 August 2018 RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual, Lesson 51 : Topic - Eternal Rewards

TOPIC: Eternal Rewards

Opening Prayer: Father, help me to serve you faithfully to receive my rewards
Bible Passage: 1 Corinthians 9:16-27 (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual August 19 2018)

16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
MEMORY VERSE: “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” – Matthew 19:29

INTRODUCTION:

The scriptures say do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain. It also says the labourer is worthy of his reward. So, God has a reward for all that make it to the kingdom. We shall one day cross to the other side where we shall have exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2Corinthians 4:17; Psalm 37:34; Psalm 91:cool.

TEXT REVIEW: 1 COR. 9:16-27

Some conditions or requirements to receive rewards (crown of glory) for preaching the gospel are stated below:
i. When the preacher does not make profit for preaching the gospel.
ii. When the preacher become the servant of all. 1Cor. 9:18-19
iii. When the preacher become weak to gain the weal
iv. When he or she is Jews to the Jews and Gentile to Gentiles to gain them.
v. When the preacher become all things to all men that he might save them all.
vi. When the preacher keeps the body under subjection.
vii. When the preacher is certain and focused
viii. When he or she is temperate in all things. 1Cor. 9:24-27
Such willing preacher who fulfills these conditions will never be cast away but will surely receive rewards from God Almighty after the end of the age. 1Cor. 9:27

2. Other types of reward

RCCG Teachers Sunday School Manual For 12 August 2018 : TOPIC: The Crucial Judgment

TOPIC: The Crucial Judgment

Opening Prayer: Father, do not ever let me go back to sin, in the name of Jesus (Scroll down for RCCG Sunday School Manual 12 August, 2018 Hymn)
Bible Passage: Revelation 20:11-15 (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 12 August 2018)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
MEMORY VERSE: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” – Hebrews 9:27

INTRODUCTION:

Judgment is one of the common destinies awaiting all men – Heb. 9:27. Believers and unbelievers, the young and old, the rich and poor, will all face judgment. The judgment will not be corporate but personal. As there is more than one resurrection, there is more than one judgment. Some of the judgments the Bible speak about include the believers’ self-judgment at the communion table – 1Cor. 11:29-31, the judgment of the believers at the judgment seat of Christ- 2 Cor.5:10, the judgment of the nations, Matt. 25:32, and the judgment of the unsaved at the Great white Throne, Rev. 20:11. In this lesson, our focus is on the judgment of the believers and the judgment of the unsaved.

TEXT REVIEW: REVELATION 20:11-15:

At the Great White Throne:
i. The present earth and heaven would have fled away. Rev. 20:11
ii. Sinners will stand before God. Rev. 20:12a
iii. Book of records of the individuals would be opened. Rev. 20:12b
iv. Book of life would also be opened. Rev. 20:12a
v. Individual will be judged based on the contents of the books. Rev. 20:12a
vi. Death and hell will release their captives to be judged accordingly. Rev. 20:13
vii. Death and hell too will be judged. Rev. 20:14
viii. They will be cast into the lake of fire. Rev. 20:14
ix. No excuse or escape for whose name is not written in the book of life. Rev. 20:15.
x. They will die the second death in the lake of fire, that is, be in torment forever. Rev. 20:15

LESSON OUTLINES:

1. The judgment of the saint
2. The judgment of the sinners

David and I became more fond of each other after getting back together and it is just as if that issue was a way to bring us more close to each other,I showed him the text message and he told me to stop investigating who did it because the truth will eventually comes out on its own,we stay together until my finals in the university but still a year to Davids final because he is studying engineering and has to stay for five years instead of four years like me.

After our 400level first semester the three of us including Tracy travelled home to prepared for our second semester and also to see our family,Tracy travelled home a day before David and I left and David and I travelled home together alone and it was so much fun travelling together in a bus with someone you love, half way trough the journey there was an heavy rainfall and I rest my head on David shoulder and that made the journey more interesting, we finally got to our destination and we departed to our various homes after David promised to called me that weekend so we can go out.

I got home and my family were so happy to see me ,I forget to tell you something that happened in my third year,Micheal my elder brother got married to Jane and they now base in port Harcourt including my younger sister favour who is living with them because she is studying mass communication at the university of port Harcourt.

“Oh my daughter is back oh”,mom replied as soon as she saw me.

“Yes mom I am back”,I replied and hugged her.

“How was the journey my daughter”.
“Thank God mom,is very great”.

“Dad is still at work right”.

“Yes my child you know your dad is a very hard working man”.

“Yes mom I know that”.

“I don’t know why you insist on travelling with public bus, you know your father can come pick you up from school instead”.

“Yes mom I know but you know dad is a very busy person and I don’t want to stressed him with that”.

“Then I can come if you like”.

“Ha mom you don’t have to worry,I am OK with the public transportation”.

“Ok my child if you say so,I know you must be tired now after the journey”.

“Yes mom I am tired and need a lot of rest and food as well”.

“Ok just go to your room to freshen up while I fix you something to eat”.

“Alright mom but why is favour not yet back”.

“Don’t mine your sister, you know that Jane is pregnant and need somebody to help her so she don’t want to allow your sister to come home but I have called her and she told me she will come home tomorrow”.

“Ok mom I will be expecting her then because I have really miss her and Micheal but what about Micheal, Isn’t he going to come with Jane since favour is coming and there is nobody to help her do some work she can come over here for some time”.

“Yes I told your brother but he hasn’t said anything about it yet”.

“Okay mom let me freshen up and get ready for your food because i missed that a lot”.

“Ok my daughter we will talk more when your dad comes back from work”.

Later in the evening dad sent for me after dinner and I went to the sitting to answer his call,I met mom and dad sitting and I know dad sent for me for something serious.

“You sent for me dad”,I said

“Yes my daughter, i sent for you because your mother and I have something important to discuss with you so please sit down”.

“Ok dad “,I replied and sat down but still confused about why they sent for me”.

“You are welcome once again my daughter”, dad said to me as soon as I sat down.

“Thank you dad and I am also happy to see you and mom after a long time”.

Welcome, I know you are wondering why we sent for you”.

“Yes dad I am wondering about it and I hope there isn’t any problem”.

“You don’t have to worry my child, we called you here because we have goodnews”.

“Really then tell me because I can’t wait”.

“The son of Mr Oyibo is coming back from America tomorrow and he promised to come see you as soon as he comes back”.

“Mom,dad, who is Mr oyibo and who is his son”.

My daughter, Mr oyibo is a business partner of your father, he gives contracts Worth’s of millions to your father and his son that travelled abroad 8years ago is coming back tomorrow and the best part is that he is coming back to get married, he has ask his father to find a wife for him ,so your father and his father has agreed that the two of you will get married to secure your fathers business because Mr oyibo might stop giving your father contract one day but if the both of you get married then our mind will be at rest and you two will run his father’s company and your father’s company together”.

TOPIC: The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Opening Prayer: Father, do not let and my Sunday School Members miss the marriage super of the Lamb, in Jesus’ name. (Scroll down for RCCG Sunday School Manual 5th August, 2018 Hymn)

Bible Passage: Revelation 19:1-14 (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual August 5 2018)
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great LovePeddler, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

MEMORY VERSE: “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” – Revelation 19:9b

LESSON INTRODUCTION:

Marriage, in this context, symbolises the union between Christ and the Church. (Ephesians 5:22-32). It is, however, important to note that the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is the next event after the second coming of Christ for the saints. May the Holy Spirit teach us and bless us richly as we look at this topic in details. (Daniel 7:13; 1Tim. 6:14; Acts 1:10-11).

What did you just say”he replied almost
stammering.

“I said that I am pregnant and madam Sandra
just confirmed it this morning and moreover you said you heard what we discussed so why are you so surprised”,I replied looking
at him and trying to read his look.

“The truth is that i didn’t heard what the both of you discussed, I only heard the last word you said about aborting a pregnancy behind the father’s back and I decided to pretend to know if you are the one that is pregnant”.

“well thank God you have confirmed it for yourself”.

“wait Cynthia so you mean that you are actually pregnant for me”.

“of course Dave you know I can’t joke with something as serious as this”.

“Oh my God Cynthia when I heard it I tought
you too were just joking and now that you
have confirmed it for me I am so happy”.

“Wait wait wait Dave, so you mean you are
very happy that I am pregnant”.

“Of course my love, apart from the day you
agreed to date me, today is my happiest day”.

“Dave don’t tell me you are planning on
asking me to keep this pregnancy”.

“Don’t tell me that you have other plans in
mind because I heard you and madam Sandra talking about aborting the child behind the father’s back”.

“Yes Dave I told her to give me some drugs
so I can abort this pregnancy behind your
back but she told me to talk to you about it
first and get your opinion and that is the only
reason I am telling you”.

“What Cynthia how can you think of aborting
my baby behind my back”.

“Is not what you think Dave but that is the
only thing I can think of at that moment and I
don’t want to ruin our future”.

“My goodness Cynthia what future can be
better than getting married and having a child
who will wake you up every morning and call
you mother and call me father, what future
Cynthia answer me”.

“Dave I don’t understand are you telling me
that you want us to keep this baby”.

“Of course my dear we are keeping this
baby”.

“And you didn’t even care to ask me if I want
to keep this baby or not,for Christ sake Dave
this is also my baby and I have a right too”.

“Do you considered that before trying to abort
the child behind my back”.

“And that is exactly what I am going to do
Dave,I am getting rid of this baby because I
don’t want it to destroy my future”.

“You are not aborting this baby Cynthia, I
disagree with you and I don’t care about what
I have to do but you are keeping this child.

“No I am not dave,I can’t let this child
destroy my future”

“And I asked again, what future can be better
than having a child who will call me dad and
call you mom everyday”.

“For Christ sake Dave we are still in
school, have you ever sit down and tought
about what your parents will say if they get to
find out about this”.

“I don’t care about what they will say and I
don’t care about what people will say but all I
know is that a guy and a lady can do
whatever they want as soon as they get to 18
years and as far as I know we are more than
18 years so please calm down and have
faith”.

“Please Dave let’s just get get rid of this
baby, we will have a baby at God appointed
time”.

“If this is not God appointed time then you
won’t have been pregnant by now, listen have
you for once thought about the damage you
will be doing to yourself by having an abortion,
what if your womb got destroyed in the
process and you couldn’t give birth in your life
or what if you died in the process do you think
you can make heaven”.

“Dave please just stop telling me about what
might happened to me”.

“You don’t want to hear it because you know
its true”.

“Oh God I don’t know what to do anymore, if
my parents find out about this then I am
dead”.

“Don’t talk like that my dear we can walk
something out,I will talk to my dad and we will
come see your parents before they get to
know about the pregnancy and if they agreed
then we can go ahead and get married before
people will start suspecting that you are
pregnant we would have been married or
don’t you want to marry me”.

“Of course I love you and I want to marry you
Dave but not this way,not in a hurry”.

“Stop Cynthia the best thing is that we will be
getting married and we with be having
freedom to do whatever we want OK, just
think about it but first you have to go to the
hospital for a test to know how old the
pregnancy is”.

“Oh God please it shouldn’t be up to a
month”.

“Don’t worry even if it is up to a month we
can still work things out but promise me that
you won’t get rid of this pregnancy behind my
back”.

“Dave please don’t put me in this situation”.
“No just promise me first”.
“Alright I promise”
“That’s my baby so let’s get inside the
bathroom, take a shower and then I go for
lectures and you to the hospital to find out
how old the pregnancy is”.

“Alright Dave but you have to carry me to the
bathroom”.

“You know I can carry you round the world
Cynthia,he replied and carried me to the
bathroom,we took a shower and depart to our
various destinations.

Romance / Interested Love Story : Careless Love, Season 3 Episode 1 by Lovestories1: 9:26pm On Jul 30, 2018
I ran to my apartment in tears, I can’t believe that my foolishness has made me lose David, i tried calling him but his number is not reachable. Sonia came home the following day and notice that all was not well with me,she tried to find out what the problem is but I didn’t tell her because I am very angry with her.

Three days pass by and I still didn’t got a call from David, not even a flash, the past three day was like hell to me,I can’t imagine living my life without David especially now that he has confess his feelings towards me,I knew I had to do something about it because I am loosing my mind,I almost went to his apartment to see him but I later changed my mind and travelled to Port Harcourt to see Micheal because he is the only person that understands me but everything changed when I explained everything to him,he became so mad at me and blamed me for everything that has been happening to me,he told me that he has always warned me about Sonia but I wouldn’t listen and now I am letting her decide my life for me and that I am no longer a kid so I should know what is right for me and what is not right.

I am more than shocked to see Micheal making those statement to me because he has never shouted at me before,I tried to calm him down but that made him worst,he was about walking out on me when Jane his girlfriend walked into his apartment. Jane was very happy to see me but when she saw the look on our faces she knew that something is not right.

“What is going on here,”she questioned staring at us confusingly.

“You don’t have to worry Jane,we were just having a brother and sister argument,”Micheal replied and walked out.

Jane knew that something is not right and quickly asked me to come with her to her apartment so we can talk,I quickly obliged because I really need to talk to someone at that moment.

We got to her apartment and luckily for me, her roommate Esther has gone out and won’t be back until the next day. She offered me a sit and was about getting me a drink but I decline and told her that I don’t need a drink but she wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept pressuring me,after much pressure I agreed to take water.

She got me the water and sat close to me,I knew very well that she want to find out what happened between Micheal and I and just as I expected she asked me what happened between Micheal and i,I told her that is nothing serious but she told me she didn’t buy it because she haven’t seen Micheal that angry before. I tought about explaining everything to her but I don’t trust her yet because Micheal only introduced her to me some few weeks back so I told her not to worry.

She told me that she heard Michael and I arguing about some guy name David and she know very well that our argument is about that same guy, after much pressure I narrated everything to her,I tought she was going to judge me but surprisingly to me she didn’t judge me,she told me that I am wrong to judge David without proper confirmation but that doesn’t give him the right to chase me out of his apartment because we are all human and we are bound to get jealous once in a while,I told her that I will apologise to David immediately I get back to school but she told me that it will be unwise to do that because a man should always be the one to fight for a woman love and if it is the other way round then the woman will appear cheap to a man and will be the one to continue begging in the relationship, she told me to go back to school and pretend not to be affected by what he did and when he get to know that what he did is not affecting me in any way then he will come to apologise me and even if he did apologise I shouldn’t accept him in a rush, I should make him fight for my love because if I go into a relationship with him after fighting for his love then I will be the one to continue fighting for his love in the relationship.

I thanked Jane so much for her advise and promised her that I will act on it. Micheal came to her house in the evening and apologised to me for what happened in the afternoon, I told him I have forgiven him but i would like to spend the night at jane apartment,he obliged and left for his apartment. I travelled back to school the next morning and quickly rushed down to my apartment to prepare for lectures but on getting to my apartment I met David waiting for me at the front of my apartment

MEMORY VERSE:

“2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” – John 14:2-3 (scroll down for RCCG SUNDAY SCHOOL 29TH JULY, 2018 HYMN)

BIBLE PASSAGE:

1 Corinthians 15:50-53 (Sunday School STUDENT Manual July 29, 2018)
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

INTRODUCTION:

Our last lesson revealed the meaning of the word, rapture. We also discovered events surrounding the rapture as regards timing and other issues. Today’s lesson will show us the reasons, the qualification as well as fallacies surrounding the rapture. May the good Lord teach our hearts and bless our lives with His truth by His Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

LESSON OUTLINES

1. Why will the rapture take place?
2. Who will be raptured?
WHY WILL THE RAPTURE TAKE PLACE?
The rapture will take place:

2. To take the saints out of the world before the tribulation (Luke 21:34-36; 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8; 1 Thessalonians 1:10).
3. That Jesus Christ might present to Himself a Church without spots or wrinkles (Ephesians 5:27; John 14:1-3).
4. To transform or change the bodies of all faithful saints from mortality to immortality (Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23, 42-44, 51-58).
5. To assemble the saints at the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelations 19:1-10).
6. To allow the revelation of the anti-Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:1-cool.
7. To present saints to God the Father (1 Thessalonians 3:13; Jude 24).
8. To make the saints whole in body, soul and spirit (1John 3:2-3; Romans 8:22-23).

WHO WILL BE RAPTURED?

The following set of people shall be raptured:
1. Those who are in Christ at His coming (John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
2. Those who earnestly desire His appearance (Titus 2:13; Philippians 3:20).
3. Those who love the Lord supremely (Philippians 3:7-10; John 21:15-17; John 14:15; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 19:12-13).
4. Those whose citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20-21; Ephesians 2:19; Hebrews 11:10, 16).
5. Those who will live holy even as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16; Hebrews 12:14; 1John 3:1-3).

CONCLUSION

Let us be sober in watchfulness (1Thessalonians 5:6), always fellowshipping together (Hebrews 10:25) and keeping the unity of the faith in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3).

The joy she was feeling can’t be expressed in words. She looked at Segun who was also staring back at her with a big smile on his lips. The pastor signal to her to repeat after him, ‘’I Adeola Tolulope Adetutu in the presence of God and His angels join my life to……..she opened her eyes to hear her door being knocked, it was then she discovered she has being dreaming. ‘’Yes, who is that’’ she asked,‘’it’s me ma, daddy says he want to see you before you leave the house today’’. She sat on the edge of her bed to check the time, it was 10:40am, and she picked her phone to call Segun.

‘‘Hello baby, how was your night, guess u slept well’’ asked adeola, in which segun casually answered ‘’fine’’. ‘’Ade, how far with that money, when are you sending it because am tired of you telling me to hold on’’

Before Adeola could reply him, Segun disconnected the call. She felt sad, ‘’why does segun like treating her like this’’, if not for some goods she just ordered for from U.S, she would have send the money. She is short of cash presently, and she has promised herself not to ask her dad for money. She remembered march 27th last year on her birthday, when her father presented her with a whole complex for her clothing store she as always dreamed off since she was a kid. She remembered it was two month after she completed her one year program in fashion school which she started immediately after youth service. She was brought back from her thought, when she heard her phone ringing, it was kemi calling her.

‘’Didi how far now’’ asked kemi, ‘’am fine ooo, how are you, bros J and anjola’’asked adeola, we are fine ooooo, ‘’how far with those stuff you order for, they don land’’, asked kemi in pidgin language, ‘’no oooo, till next week Monday, ‘’what is wrong with you, you are sounding dul’’, asked kemi. Adeola felt like telling kemi about what segun did, but she cautioned herself and reminded herself that kemi does not like segun and she is even against her relationship with him. She claims segun is not a husband material plus he doesn’t love her but only her money

‘’Nothing dear, am ok, will u come over to d shop later on’’ asked adeola to distract her from going further in asking her what is wrong. ‘’Nope, today is anjola immunization, so I have to take her there’’. ‘’Ok, so when should I be expecting you’’, she asked, ‘’mayb next week Monday when those goods land, make sure u don’t open it till I come’’, adeola replied with a smile on her face, ‘’no problem about that, take care, extend my greetings to bros J and anjola’’, ‘’ok oooo, dey will hear, help me greet daddy also’’.
