Just imagine. I am always filled of anger over the manner at which the FG/and state government are treating those people. Infact, they contributed over 50% of the problems we are facing in food price hike. Many people just abandoned their farms instead of wasting their time and energy.

That's it. Why wasting your money, energy and money when they could destroy it all in just one day?
I'm presently taking the risk again, planting four plots of land, maize and melon.

Till then.

Anything above #450 should be met with stiff resistance from the people. Everybody will fight this time around.

For him to even say FEC will determine the price reeks corruption.

Let's wait and see. The problem are these Labour idiots. They will jeopardize everything

When labour failed to shut down economy when Tinubu unexpectedly announced the removal of subsidy in May last year during his swearing in ceremony, I knew that we were in it for a long rough ride.

Am referring to you as an ordinary citizen dat is rich. Can you provide that kind of security?
Yes, our politicians get secured. But do you know whether deep in their minds, they are secured?

There is death rate everywhere. Whether high or low. But the difference is how each country is dealing with any each violence that took place.

I'm not impressed by your response

He already knows how much his fuel will be sold.

Baba is only playing mind game with Nigerians.

He doesn't want Nigerians to put the blame on him when they see an unexpectedly high price of fuel.

Who increased the price of cement and other Dangote products?

Is it FEC?

This is different. Most especially when you look at the issue of supplying crude oil to his refinery, you have forgotten how those FG subsidiaries refused to supply crude oil to his refinery and how he was frustrated until he said that FG should come and buy the refinery.
This looks like the condition being given to him by FG to get steady supply of crude oil. I believe that FG too wants to be cashing out on the masses from sales of this petrol
Politics / Re: FEC Will Determine Price Of Our Petrol, Says Dangote by maasoap(m): 3:15pm On Sep 04

Let the product be available first, the Price is already known, except the government wants to continue with Subsidy fuel will remain above 800 naira for now, atleast until the dollar appreciate.

How does dollar come into this? Crude oil is Nigeria made. He will be buying it in naira and will be selling it in naira too.

Are they telling us there was no concrete subsequent agreement?

With all the support Nigerians and the FG gave him. He's now telling us some no-do-gooders will decide

Who are the no-do-gooders here? No be d same FG led cabinet?
Politics / Re: FEC Will Determine Price Of Our Petrol, Says Dangote by maasoap(m): 3:10pm On Sep 04
CyrusVI:
Why?

Or dem wan subsidize your fuel for the masses?

That should have been the reason but I don't think so. Major marketers already said that his petrol could force the price down to 600 naira per litre with no subsidy. But I suspect that this administration may want to use the opportunity of Dangote refinery to be making money for the government by setting the price higher than 600 naira per litre. But let's continue waiting for the outcome of this unholy arrangement

But guess what the useless NLC and TUC went there and fumble, now see the outcome of it. Very myopic group of nonentity. Mtcheeewww
..

They missed their opportunity when they failed to resist Tinubu's petrol subsidy removal announcement on May 29th last year and floating of naira because they are the only one who could force him to retract the announcement

Teymanhenry:
Well, we nigerians are fully in support of these evil men rulling this country. If not we'll had gone after them or their families. Blood for blood kawai. How can oil producing country sell petrol at this high rate?

The main problem is that Tinubu's government is running away from all responsibilities of government to subsidise the living conditions of the citizens. He believes that government has no reason to subsidise the essential needs of the citizens be it fuels or electricity or anything. Even in developed countries, governments still subsidise their daily basic needs

Las las these people will cause war in Nigeria. They shouldn’t think it’s not possible, it can happen

This has been my fear in the recent time. Even if it is not a war, it may be a serious breakdown of law and order, serious chaos that may claim many lives just like it happened in Kenya. I have never seen a government that is not ready to bear any cost of making life easier for her citizens.

How can you be roaming around, sleeping in bushes over cow rearing in this centuries.

I cultivated four plots of land this year but because of them, I couldn't plant maize or cassava. Even the melon that I planted instead, they still managed to destroy half of them. I'm talking about residential environment here.

No woman will do all of it, not willingly.

The bolded is basically what lots of Nigerian men want even a lot of male posters on this thread.

The earlier they get the reality the better.

It's only the woman contributing financially they are after, what else do some men bring apart from money.

I personally don't blame women who tow the you are the provider line. Lots of men have shown over time that the only thing they bringto a marriage is money. Money that the woman is making abi.

Then let the gender roles take its course but the men will still wail about that.

As for the OP I wish him the best in whatever he decides, but divorce or marrying a new person is not his solution.

Some things are not meant to work out or last, just put that effort and know when to quit and walk away if it doesn't work out for you. You don't have to be miserable for the rest of your life because of one stupid principle.

I love how men ask for the other side of the story when a woman complains about the state of affairs in her marriage and how they don’t when a man paints his wife bad and himself completely innocent.

A lot to learn here. Next time a sister complains, my advice will be cheat and divorce, in that particular order.

Men lead, I follow. That’s the social contract, abi?

May his Gentle soul rest

This is one death of someone who isn't my relation that actually made me cry

Such a brilliant and extremely promising person gone just like that...This guy was legit on his way to being one of the top four automobile dealers/Mechs in naija

This guy gave me free advice when I wanted to buy my first car in 2018, and also set me up with a buyer of a car I posted for sale here, all without requesting or collecting a dime...

I detested after market CNG installations in vehicles, of which he was a very strong advocate for. And I never wasted any opportunity to put it to him with all my muscle, while sometimes attacking his person inadvertently in the process..

But he never reciprocated the insults, and instead took pains to explain to me his position and at most, ignored me and my bad bele. He was very focused and also very peaceful...

May God give his family the fortitude to bear this very painful loss...

I was remembering his enthusiasm about CNG conversion thing before I saw your post. He was even updating people here about his trial. May his soul rest in peace

This government is funny!

Just when Dangote refinery starts working, they increased fuel price.
Later they will reduce the price back to N600 and claim the Government forced Dangote to sell at reduced price so they can claim the glory .

We will be happy if they allow him to sell at that price as long as he's going to make profit on it. They can claim the glory, no one cares about that. Who would have thought that petrol would sell for 1200 naira per litre this evening today?

Of course I know you don’t mean me

Also I’ve never seen anyone who’s cleaning bathrooms (also known as janitors) in the west come online to brag about it. It’s usually Nigerians in Nigeria who are often doing the currency conversions and making these comparisons on the internet. Unprompted if I may add.

Normally such people in those jobs know it’s a temporary fix to serve as a stepping stone onto the next things they want to do.

And why the use of the term packing shit? do you think people just shit on the floor for the janitors to come clean up? When there’s a working toilet/s and functional plumbing?

Sometimes, people mess up public facilities really bad but I don't know if is intentional or just by accident. So, while it is basically washing and flushing, occasional little packing can't be ruled out.
And yeah, for some people who are ambitious, it is a temporary fix.

Even your choice of words tell a lot.
Can't say I wasn't having fun talking about this topic, you got me right there.

This is what I found out with 9ja banks

Jaiz Bank loaned me 1.5 million naira in 2021 for a start and I paid back without defaulting for a second once. I was looking forward to 5 million naira loan again telling myself that I did good with the first one repayment but nothing came, they didn't approve a kobo. Now, I learnt that they are having trouble collecting back all the big sums that they gave to big men and that's now affecting their customers who need smaller amounts of loan from them.

Be selfish with saving up and not spending every naira that comes into your accounts. No matter the amount you are spending daily on basic stuff, it will never be enough.

How does this philosophical statement affect Dangote, Otedola or Ned Nwoko or Bart Nnanji? You made it looks like there are no poor or homeless people abroad. Yearly violent deaths figure is even higher in USA than Nigeria

I saw it and that's why I said that he should sort out his present shiit first.

Meaning he left his ex before he met his now wife. So you don't expect the ex not to have dated someone else after the guy left her.
And what is the problem there if both of them realise that they are not happy in their present relationships and decide to end it and come back together again?

Don't be quick to condemn the actions of the South African Embassy until you hear the full story as I do not trust the competence of the Nigeria Basketball Federation. We need to know if they did the visa applications and all other necessaries on-time and not the usual Fire-Brigade and haphazard approach. After then, we can chew the SA Embassy. As we all know that SA will look for the smallest excuse to deny Nigeria such thing .

Why would you think it is good and appropriate for you to justify SA looking for smallest excuse to deny Nigeria? When someone is hell bent on finding your fault to deal with you, no matter how careful you are, they will find it.
