This is a mockery of the situation..which type of bull crap law is that? So assuming I suspect someone is trying to hurt me by poisoning my food and I installed a hidden camera to uncover the act, after getting an evidence to prosecute the kiiiller, the kiiiller will file another suit saying I invaded his privacy by recording him without his consent?? Ara gá agba the judge.

It is different when it is about sex or nude, a totally different ballgame

Calitoscassius:
Actually, it is a crime to secretly film yourself having sex with another female or male or your wife and another man, without their CONSENT. But in some cases of false rape accussations or in this case of infidelity you can use the secret sex recording as your witness, you would still get a caution for recording the sex.

Many people here don't know that recording someone secretly for whatever reason having sex is invasion of privacy, even yourself with someone is a crime if the other person is unaware.

1.
What kind of privacy does someone deserve from his or her spouse in their matrimonial home? So, no absolute loyalty in marriage? That means the woman can sometimes order the man to get out of the bedroom for her to have the privacy to do certain things. Madness!

2.
What is the woman's punishment for her infidelity? Was she set free?

3.
I know that the man's right ends where another person's right begins. But the man needed evidence against the wife. Please, what other evidence could he have provided to prove the wife's infidelity? Or, could the court have believed that she was cheating on her husband, if the husband had not presented the footage?

4.
I hope the judgement will be the same if a woman does exactly what the man did.

Well, truly, he invaded her privacy with hidden camera, no doubt. But I'm sure that the divorce being sought after by the husband is now a sure deal anytime he finished serving his time.
He could hang around and catch them redhanded since the lover was coming into his house and bedroom.

NAFDAC is useless. All they know how to do is to take bribe and allow people to continue producing poisons.

This is the problem with all the government task forces in Nigeria that are supposed to be regulatory agencies and enforcers. They would just go to the place and collect huge amounts of money as bribe

I'll try to make this as simple enough for you to understand: whether he was elected or not is irrelevant. The fact remains that he was never sincere with his intentions. He chose to destroy the very resources that were meant to benefit the people all because he's a sore loser. Read that again very carefully. His actions scream "self-serving" louder than a playground tantrum, so spare us the semantics. The issue at hand is not about his title or position, but about his actions.

So what? Their newly elected representative or government or you can now step in and we all will have our peace. Are we done or we still crying after individual of us have exercised their right within the law?

Setup cost is also not free. They have to pay. Someone that cannot pay 200m monthly but want to setup solar.

Without being told, you just have to look at it in terms of long term benefits. One is 200 million naira monthly till eternity while the other one will be more beneficial and more economical in the long run.

For the energy loads of a place like Unilag, I won't be surprised if the setup cost for full solar power will not be up to 3billion naira or more.

That's why Uniben wants to do it bit by bit over the coming years. Four or five faculties at a time. They're not embarking on all of it at the same time.

The private sector is paying the crazy bill. The govt also should pay!

Firstly, not all private sector are paying exploitative bills to DISCO, some have gone independent. Example is one of those mega churches.
Secondly, it is not a must for me to allow DISCO to exploit me just because you allowed yourself to be exploited if I think I can have options. How many goverment institutions can even sustain the payments?

The solar initiative is a federal government project across federal universities and not led by UNIBEN. If you need more info on this you can easily find it. Unless you refer to something totally different with not much publicity.

UNILAG is also part of it but not at the ongoing phase, I believe.

I don't know the one you are talking about. But this one, I saw the list of contributors so far at the time, it was posted in one whatsapp group I'm part of.

It's a win win for us.

More IPPs.

As customers sign up, they'll free up grid energy for other people .

The current band A tariff is greatly exploitative. No business can survive using it without doing illegal connections every now and then. Even some of us who are using it for residential purposes without illegal connections like bypassing are employing serious rations which is very much uncomfortable. I wish I had money for solar that can power everything in my house 24/7, may be with the exception of hotplate.

Student loan or palliative of 20k ? Which school fees today in Nigeria is 20k naira ? A money that can can’t even buy you a good plate of fisherman soup with orishirishi …shame. Government of palliatives , propaganda, lies and deceit with no economic policy and no way forward for Nigeria. They want to turn their supporters to almajiris by celebrating sharing of palliatives like this…20k and calling it student loan…shame…shame…shame
I don't think 20k is the loan amount. From what I heard, 20k is like pocket money and the tuition fees are paid directly to the institutions. But this information could be wrong

The scam is obviously... All u have to do is google graduates produce by stagest in nigeria

Kano and Bruno produce less than 3000 graduates per year

But have 20,000 beneficiaries?

IMO and anambra alone as at the last data I have produced more graduates than North West and North East combined

This type of loans should be done through banks, u meet banks they verify your claims while federal government acts as guarantor for such loans ... Having a government agency giving out loans invites corruption

You have to apply first. How can you be given a loan that you don't show interest in? That could even be a ground for lawsuit. It is a loan, some students intentionally stayed away from it

Humane is relative.
There are people whose account balance has never exceeded 20K and may happen
to be the star in their immediate family.
If you give such a person 20K bail, they will never get out of jail unless with external help.

Moreover, bail condition in civil suit should not be based on what the suspect can reasonably
afford and not the entire family assumed net worth.

I do not believe the boy's narration about keeping it from his family because the Nigerian
jail is not where anybody wants to be for that long if they have viable options.

He most likely have fallen out badly with majority of them and couldn't reach out.

The accused account balance can't be the problem of the judges as 100k or 50k is not that hard for family members and friends to raise for you.
My point still remain the fact that he hid his ordeal from friends and family. I'm sure that if you are arrested or charged to court or remand in prison today, the first thing you would do is to reach out to your family and friends, that's what any sane person would do.
Though, I sympathise with him, nobody deserves that kind of treatment. But this dude did so many things wrong after his arrest

In other words, you were locked up for defending a thief.

The only issue I have with this is the long-term remand due to his inability to make bail.
It is time we found better ways of ensuring court attendance other than imposing
overbearing bail on poor suspects.

100k bail condition reduced to 50k was more than a humane bail condiition. He kept the matter away from his entire family members with the exception of one brother who was equally useless. Didn't he have friends? Where was the thieving colleague he was defending? I hope he has learnt his lessons to mind his business, have friends, be in good terms with his family members, etc

I support you 💯 for this.

However I have a feeling that this was the actual reason he got you arrested. You were "advising" a boss you just resigned from to learn leadership skills because of how he chose to collect his money from a fraudulent staff. That's insulting. If the client really had problems with paying into the company's account, why didn't the staff inform the boss and probably request the boss's account number instead instead of asking clients to pay into his own account? Who knows if the guy has been collecting money like that before undetected?
Even from your own account you deserved to be punished. [Maybe not 10months in jail though, but you deserved some form of punishment.]

I was like, what da fvck? He went too far on an issue that didn't concern him and when it was clear that the staff member was wrong and that was even after he had resigned.
Even from his story, his boss didn't wish for this terrible outcome

I be a lady that stays alone, I had accident some years ago, so after I came back to start work, the clutches I used for over 7 months damaged my nerves, that made me not been able to use my hands, can't bath and all hence i needed a lady to help me.
So i called one babe to come and help me, so after assisting me and several physiotherapy my hands were restored.
But then, she was coming off and on, later she had a problem where she was staying, thou not her fault because I'm aware of the stuff.
So i told her to come and stay with me, my parents do not like the idea, but when i look at what she did for me, I decided to help her.
But one thing i noticed about her is that she doesn't like spending her money, but like Nwa Anambra wey I be, I go just dey watch her from a distance. At a time gas finished, I didn't bother buying, she was forced to buy, pure water finished when I was not around, I came back and saw that she didn't buy, I go buy bottled water, she came back and was forced to buy.
Truth be told, she helps me a lot, washing, cooking and all, she's really trying, but i have to make her understand that she needs to be contributing no matter how small.
Again, she recently started night shift, I advised her to probably go back to her house and be managing from there, or get another house but as per sense girl wey she be, she doesn't want that, free food is involved.
Believe you me, some people may think they are wise but don't know that they are just selfish, least i forget the monthly suya of 2k i told her to be buying for me she have defaulted severally, that made me not to buy anything for her again she think say she wise.

Oga you have to stop cooking in that house, start from there first, tell her that she must have to do the house chores, if she don't want to do that, let her goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Op is a weak and whining man and I'm sure everyone knows why grin grin grin

But you're not sincere with us here and yourself. You don't want the relationship to be over with her but you are saying you don't care if it is over. If you don't care as you said, what advice do you need again? You're just deceiving yourself

if you had listened to the below i told you to do before moving her in (In your initial thread on the issue), all the above wouldnt have happened...

the only solution to your issue now is to be RUTHLESS and stop falling for her emotional blackmail... give her an ultimatum as to when she got to get the fukc out your home (beware that she doesnt run away with your shiit as revenge), and when the day of that ultimatum comes, whether she has a place to stay or not, open the door and get rid of her. basta!
