i saw a very interesting testimony on wikisozo, here it is PASTOR JERRY DAVID “In 1999, when I was in my 200 level at the University of Calabar, I met Sis Blessing Egede (a member of Christ Embassy Calabar) in whom I was interested in befriending. At this time, I was a member of The Brotherhood of The Cross and Star and also a core-cult member of the ‘Con-fraternity’. As a result, I always carried with me a sword and a pistol because; we always had a fatal fight whenever we meet with members of another fraternity with whom our aims, objectives and vision differ of clash. I became very close to this sister and a friend but; deep within me, I had an intension of going ungodly relationship with her. One thing this Sister never quit doing was praying for my salvation daily. This friendship continued until the year, 2000 when she gave me a note inviting me to No. 9 IBB Way in Calabar. This was the address of the Christ Embassy Church she attended though, I knew this not. To me, I felt it was the address of a hotel where we might meet for some pleasurable moments but; when I got there, I met people dressed in uniformity called ushers who having been pre-informed by the sister of her invitation arrangement and my affirmation to graze it, welcomed me into the hall. Expecting to see Sis Blessing, I met with Pastor Marcel instead (Her Pastor). With the setting of the place I knew something different from a pleasure moment lay ahead. Still in optimism and in anticipation of an imagined pleasure moment, I waited patiently and listened to what everyone in that gathering were listening to. I realized that I was in a church only when I heard what the man (Pastor Marcel) said to the crowd of people sitting down to listen. He spoke like no other I have seen and, in his speech made a statement, “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation”. I contemplated on these sayings of his and didn’t realize when I got up from where I was sitting at the back of the hall, from where the words had come to me as a Rhema from God, to answer the call of salvation. I can only recall that I was in front; at the altar, sorry for my past lifestyle, surrendering my life to Christ and dropping on the altar that day the sword and the pistol I hitherto had carried with me everywhere I went. This was a turning point in my life as a new zeal busted forth within my spirit for the service of God and the humanity he had created. I began to love the things of God and developed a personal relationship with God. Henceforth, my life changed and I was turned completely into another man. I immediately attended the foundation school and grew ever since. |

A New Life Of Victory! – Saturday July 30, 2011 – Pastor Anita Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). The Christian is not an ordinary person. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means old things, old limitations, old troubles, old pains, are passed away and all things have become new. A brand new life of victory is what you receive when you’re born again; not when you get to heaven, but right here on earth. In heaven, you don’t need any victory because there are no devils, demons or adverse circumstances to deal with. Here’s where you’ve got to face them, and you’ve already been assured of victory and endless possibilities. Jesus said, “…all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23). You’ve been given the right to live a good life and walk in supernatural prosperity and divine health. It’s also a life of soul-winning, for you’ve been called into the ministry of reconciliation: “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18). This means you must also openly testify of Jesus to those around you and serve Him with your life. Make conscious efforts to find our from the Word of God today who you are, what rights or privileges belong to you, and what obligations are expected of you. This will help you discover more about the glorious life in Christ that you’ve received. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for the new life I have received in Christ; it’s a life of glory and victory. As I continue to discover more about it from your Word, I am transfigured from glory to glory, in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen. Further Study 1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 2 Timothy 3:14-15 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Fellowship Of The God-kind – Thursday July 28, 2011 – Pastor Chris That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3). We’ve been brought into a oneness of spirit – an inseparable union with divinity. We’ve been called into fellowship – partnership and togetherness with Deity; it’s the fellowship of the God-kind. To have real fellowship with God you’ve got to be in His class of being. This is the reason the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul prayed that the believer might be filled with all the fullness of God; it’s because of the need for the fellowship of the God kind. He brought us into fellowship with Himself and with His Son Jesus. Little wonder the prayer of the Spirit through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 13:14: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” The communion of the Holy Ghost means walking with the Holy Ghost, it means fellowshipping with the Spirit. 2 Peter 1:4 says we’re partakers of the divine nature; it means were associates, comrades or fellows with Deity. There’s a oneness of spirit between us and our heavenly Father; a fellowship of the God kind! You partake of it not just because you’re born of God but because you’ve come to the level of maturity where you can relate with God in His own language. It’s not enough to be born of God; you can have a child – a son or a daughter – who is two years old. You can play with that child but you can’t have real fellowship with the child. Real fellowship entails the rubbing of minds – sharing, talking at higher levels- where you can understand each other and exchange thoughts. This is the kind of fellowship God has called us into; it’s beyond making requests of Him in prayer. This kind of fellowship is not a one-way communication. Rather, it’s when God opens your mind to the realms of the spirit for you to understand things at His level. It’s when you see from the mountain top and communicate from the glory-realm. Prayer Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your grace, your love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit! I’m exuberant today with praise and thanksgiving, knowing that I’ve been brought into an inseparable union and oneness of spirit with you! Thank you for making me a partaker of your divine nature. Further Study 1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Bible Romans 3 Reading plan Psalm 42-44 2 Year Bible Luke 11:37-44 Reading Plan Judges 2-3 Rhapsody of Realities Pastor Chris Oyakhilome |

Call To Salvation Have you ever seen a butterfly? Or watched an early morning sunrise? Have you ever seen a flowing river? Or caught a peek at a rainbow? The Bible says in Romans 1 vs. 19: 20 ", because that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shewed it to them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: ". All the works of creation reveal the glory and power of God and speak a message so clear you cannot fail to hear. God went further and revealed Himself to us through His Son Jesus Christ. The scripture declares Him to be the very image of God, and the brightness of his glory. Jesus himself said "He that has seen me has seen the Father." Through His death He showed us the way to fellowship with Him, and now He wants us to receive the divine life which Jesus made available so that He can reveal Himself in us, and through us. Today, you can receive the life of God into your spirit, and become a brand new creature in Christ, so that God's beauty and power can be seen in you. All you have to do is say this prayer and mean it with all of your heart; and God will hear you. O Lord God, I believe in Jesus Christ, your Son who died for me and was raised from the dead for my justification. Your Word says in Romans 10 vs. 9 & 10 ", that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Therefore I confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life from this day forth. I receive remission of sins for my soul and I receive eternal life into my spirit. I am saved! I am born-again! Thank you for making me your child. |

Cheer Up; There’s Hope For You! – Tuesday July 26, 2011 – Pastor Chris Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost (Romans 15:13). Hope is the positive expectation of a desired end. It’s a virtue that gives you strength and a purpose. Only Jesus Christ can give you extraordinary hope. When you have that kind of hope, you’ll be propelled to look forward to tomorrow with excitement, because hope is for the future. It’s to expect with confidence; to cherish a desire with anticipation of a positive outcome. We find an example of this from the story of the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. She had spent all her earnings on medical bills, but instead of getting better, she only got worse. She heard about Jesus, and on a certain day, came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His clothes, “For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole” (Matthew 9:21). As soon as she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment her bleeding ceased, and she immediately knew she was healed. She didn’t need anybody to confirm her healing; she just accepted it and that was it. Though the woman had become desperate, having found herself in a hopeless situation for twelve long years, hope came to her when she heard the Master was healing people. Her hope translated to faith when she told herself “I’m going to touch His clothes and be healed!” Never think the situation you might be facing is too hopeless, for no problem is insurmountable. There’s hope for you in Christ! It makes no difference the medical condition you’ve been diagnosed with or the state of your finances; cheer up, there’s hope for you. The Bible says Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Look forward to tomorrow with excitement; keep your hope alive. Nurture it to the point it can’t be denied. You too can be healed; you can achieve that desire in your heart. It’s not over yet; see the ray of light in the horizon, for there’s a miracle for you right now in that situation for which you require a change. Hallelujah! Confession Thanks be unto God who has given me freely all joy and peace in believing, that I may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost! My life is from glory to glory because Christ in me is my assurance for the upward and forward life! Psalms 38:18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. Psalms 71:14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. Turn Your Face Away From Men – Monday July 25, 2011 – Pastor Chris Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember, now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore (2 Kings 20:2-3). Our opening scripture shows us what King Hezekiah did when he was in a fix; he had just received a death sentence from God through the Prophet Isaiah. But rather than giving up, he turned his face to the wall in prayer unto the Lord. In other words, he turned away from men and turned to God, and God heard him. There’re times you may find yourself confronted with a difficult situation. For example, you were served eviction notice, and now you need a new accommodation urgently. Or maybe you’ve been out of a job and have been in desperate search for one to no avail. You’ve wailed, lamented, complained, and solicited help from everyone you knew; particularly those you thought could help, and yet nothing changed. It’s time you turned your face away from men! Stop talking to men about the situation. You already told “everybody” and they couldn’t do anything about it. So stop talking to them. Instead turn to the Lord in prayer. God alone has the ability to supply all that you need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) says “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately {and} cares about you watchfully.” In Psalm 50:15, He said, “…call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” The Lord is your “very present” help in times of need (Psalm 46:1); so if you find yourself in a dire situation, all you need do is call on Him. He’s ever willing and delighted to hear your voice and answer your prayers: “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers…” (1 Peter 3:12). The result of Hezekiah’s intense prayer was that not only did God reverse his death sentence; He added fifteen more years to his life (2 Kings 20:6). God is no respecter of persons. If He did it for Hezekiah, He’ll do it for you too, if only you’ll quit seeing men as your source of help and turn to Him in full assurance of faith. Say like the Psalmist “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth…” (Psalm 121:1-2). Prayer Heavenly Father, I thank you for being my source and my very present help in times of need! I rejoice and take courage in your Word for you’re the lifter of my head and my sufficiency! Your presence in me and with me has brought immense peace, joy and assurance to my heart to boldly declare that all of my needs are met according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Further Study James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Isaiah 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! Poster, @your friend What you need to deal with is the spirit of fear Fear is the absence of faith in the power and might of God But the question is, do you believe in God and if you do, have you accepted and embraced His love for you John 3:16 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He[ even] gave up His only begotten( a unique) Son, so that whoever believes in( trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish( come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal( everlasting) life. Now being a xtian is different from growing up in a xtian home or being involved in church activities It takes you accepting to accept His love, embrace His death and confess Him as Lord over your life Romans 10:9-10 9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe( adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes( adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified( declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses( declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms[ his] salvation. Once you accept Jesus and invite Him into your life, when He comes to live in you, automatically, fear leaves you How and why you may ask, bible says 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 14 Don't be teamed with those who do not love the Lord, for what do the people of God have in common with the people of sin? How can light live with darkness? 15 And what harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a Christian be a partner with one who doesn't believe? 16 And what union can there be between God's temple and idols? For you are God's temple, the home of the living God, and God has said of you,"I will live in them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people." Light and darkness cannot dwell in the same place, fear and faith in God cannot be in the same place It's common reasoning So it's now left for you to stand on the word of God Work it out by yourself, get bold and courageous knowing Jesus lives in you Philippians 2:12 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. |

God never created the homosexuals Man was created in the image and likeness of God Gen 1:27. So God created man in His own image , in the image of God created He him; male and female created he them God is not a homosexual so He cannot create one, it was borne out of their own lust Romans 1:21-28 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. |

These things you talk about happen in almost all churches Just yesterday I saw on tv a pastor praying for a blind man who started seeing immediately Also the same pastor prayed for a man on crutches who doctors did an operation on him and a mistake which led to his being crippled. The pastor prayed for him and he started walking immediately In fact he jumped and ran and did a whole lot of other things , if I had not experienced live miracles and read about it from my bible, I too would have doubted See these things are real |
