@ Everyone

Hope you dey enjoy your week not minding the expected disappointment 'our brothers' gave us yesterday but for someone like me who knows very little about football, it looked like they tried…well…maybe a bit?

@ Axeman
I hope say that your 'prophet' friend dey wrong about Nigeria meeting England at the Airport because all hell go loose for here o, He don do well for the Naija prediction but let him be wrong for the other one. I can imagine how grumpy ‘my people’ here will be if England loses today!! I beg, my hay fever palaver is enough for me to deal with at the moment, amongst other things not to talk of some ego busted set of ,    lipsrsealed  wink

Hello People,

Another weekend is here, thank God it’s Friday, lalala, lalala, lol.
Although the weather for here na rubbish, we still dey happy it’s Friday. It’s been raining all week! Some sun has forecasted for the weekend, hopefully.

I sure say una they enjoy the sun well well for Naija, I beg make someone bottle some and ship am here o, I go appreciate am.

@ The post on ‘overstaying’ immigrant visitors, I beg just revoke their visas and tell them say they don become illegal so make them commot, lol.
I have never been in that situation so I no get the faintest idea what you do with families like that. I guess the difference with living abroad is that only my immediate family (well, really, mum & dad) dey come visit and they no dey stay for too long, if them tire for my place, they go go my other siblings’ place, that way, nobody they inconvenient anybody.
I know say we bi Africans o but why uncle or aunty go wan stay for my house, they no get their own family to go stay with? I no understand o. Even as a child growing up in Naija, we no dey get any familiy come dey stay our house so maybe no bi all of them dey do that, abi?
So Axey, I second you, if they absolutely have to stay, ‘NO ONE IS ABOVE THE RIOT ACT’.

@Axey man – Thanks for welcoming me to WTMH and yes o, ‘magirose’ is the new Maggi in the town, look out for it!
Yes, I just noticed Bisowo’s story. Well, like you, I live in obodo oyinbo, just on the South East from you and today, we’re all smiles as the weather is picking up real good. I don’t think I can comment about thos kind visitors Biso dey talk about as I neva experience them o but don hear about them kind well well. Shame how you have to deal with such guest, I mean, how can you not ask people if it’s convenient for you to visit them?!!

I’m probably not going to be able to make interesting comment like you guys do on landlords & tenants and so on. I bi my own landlord o, at least for now but ego soon change as my oga go take over soon, lol.  Like you as well, we too don dey consider moving to Naija if something good comes up. If anyone’s told me I would consider doing that like a year ago, I would have said ‘no way babe’ but having visited twice (although very briefly both times) in the last 9 months, I have now changed my mind.
Naija dey sweet for holiday but I no sure about living there.

Hello All,

I’ve just been reading your posts here and I find it quite interesting. Although I’ve been reading posts on Nairaland for a few years now but I’ve never been tempted to actually write anything until now, so I’ve just registered to join in!!!

@Iceblue – nice one you got going here. I read your introductory post and the 1st few pages of this post and loved it. I wonder though, you had problems with your water pump in Feb and now it’s May, you’re reporting it’s been fixed (I reckon, again). Na wa o.

@axey – you must enjoy your trips to Naija, hope all’s well at work now.

@Biso – although I’m new, I am def curious to hear your gist too o!
