I lived in Mombasa and worked for the Mombasa Times for some years. Then my parents moved to Nairobi and I worked for the East African Newspapers (Nation Series) until 1967. We then emigrated to the UK. Nairobi was not too bad while we lived there. Unfortunately in recent years it has become a real slum. The roads are full of potholes and many people are still living in poverty. I don't know where all those photographs displayed here are from. It does not represent Nairobi in any form.
