Thanks for the swift response. My wife and I have been together for almost 8 years and married for 4years. We have several pictures and family and friends to prove our relationship has been bonafide from the very beginning. I also understand your analysis. Now the question is are we to wait till they get back to us whenever or can we contact he USCIS to maybe quicken the process? Your thoughts would be highly appreciated ma.

Many thanks

Hello ma,

My wife filed an I-130 petition for me and asked to do a Dna test to prove I was the father of our almost 4year old child which we did and at the next interview I was told the test results proved I wasn't the father and so the petition would be revoked. This happened in May 2015 and I was told we would be contacted in 60 days after the case was sent back to the USCIS for revocation and up till now we haven't heard back. We would like to know the status of the case so as to know how to appeal because we are shocked at the results of the DNA and even at that it's my wife who filed for me and not my son so am not sure how this is grounds for revocation. I would sincerely appreciate if you can give us any concrete insight as to the process .

Many thanks

Thanks for the quick response and understand perfectly.

I will definitely be at the interview but I do hope it's for a positive result after the long wait.

Please indicate if we should be worried or calm.

Many thanks

Hello Consular Officer,

My wife of 4 yearspetitioned to bring me to the Us with her and the case was approved early last year. I was scheduled for an interview at d Lagos consulate and after answering series of questions the officer said he wasn't convinced I was the father of our 3 year old son who is also a US citizen so he instructed we do a DNA test to prove I was. We got in touch with the lab in the US, paid the fees and had the sample kit sent to the embassy. When your office received the kit they scheduled a sample collection date and I ensured my son was in the country to attend the sample collection with me. It took almost 6 weeks for the embassy to receive the results from the lab and after they finally did they said they needed to schedule another appointment for me but would take 30 working days. In between we contacted them and they kept saying they haven't scheduled a date. They finally called me today to schedule a 7am interview for the 15th of May which is next Friday and I wasn't asked to come with any supporting documents. Now I will like to find out if am going to be interviewed a second time or what exactly I am going for as I wasn't asked to bring any documents. Any help given would be greatly appreciated as the process has taken a while and in between my wife and son have had to be coming to Lagos just to keep the family bond as we can't stand to just be separated all this while. We really want to know what's going to happen next if it's just for the visa to be issued or it's another interview. Thank you very much. Regards
