Beauty entrepreneur and divorced mother of one, Dabota Lawson has taken to her Instagram page to narrate how she suffered after divorcing her billionaire ex-husband, Sunny Aku.

According to the Rivers born ex-beauty queen, she started her business under the staircase of a mall and her friends mocked her for divorcing a billionaire to sell under the stair case.

She wrote:

”5 years ago this was all I had as a business . This little spot under/near the stair case of a mall that so many people used to mock me because to them i just left a billionaire and had nothing to show for it �� How time flies. Such a humbling period in my life. A real down time

Two students who are in love reportedly got married on March 4, 2020 and the internet has gone wild over it.

According to reports, the yet-to-be identified lovers are students of Rhodes High School in South Africa.

They were reportedly together for two weeks before tying the nuptial knot.

The story was shared via a post by a Twitter user identified as @Yeyethu_Baballo, who also released photos of the two student couples.

In one of the photos, they cold be seen signing what is believed to be court documents, while the other photo shows the young man holding up the supposed marriage document.

Tyson Fury has confirmed he plans to retire after an undisputed fight with Anthony Joshua .

Fury became a two-time world champion by stopping Deontay Wilder last month - and will have to face the American for a third time in July.

He will then target a clash with fellow countryman Joshua who holds the other three belts with a December date in Saudi Arabia pencilled in.

And after Fury's wife Paris called on him to then hang up his gloves, the 31-year-old confirmed that is his intention.

I've got two more fights left and then we'll really think about what we're doing and go from there," he said on This Morning.

I'm undefeated in 31 professional fights and this is my 12th year as a professional.

Wilder triggered his rematch clause this week to give himself the chance to regain his title.

But Fury has no doubt he will win a third fight between the rivals following their draw in 2018 and his victory this year.

I beat him the first time and I beat him the second time and I will surely beat him the third time," he said.

He's a very worthy opponent. He's a very dangerous opponent and he has the eraser knockout.

Following his victory over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, Fury descended into a drink and drug-fuelled depression which lasted three years.

You elevate yourself in mind and body to go and box at his level and nothing means anything apart from the fight.

Then you win and it's like, 'Oh well, I've done that' and I slide down the other side.

It takes me about two weeks to get back to normal after a massive fight.

It is a rollercoaster of emotions, to be away from the kids and the school run and the screaming and shouting, it takes a lot to come back to that and get re-adjusted to that after three months away.

Gospel singer, Patience Akpabio took to Facebook to share her thoughts about having sex in the dark, an act she insisted must stop.

According to the gospel singer, children produced in the dark have a different view about that the world than those produced in light.

Patience Akpabio urged couples to ensure there is light in the room during sex, so there can be transparency and positive energy in the world.

She wrote;

No more having sex in the dark with your husband. This is 2020, turn the lights on. Children produced in darkness have a different view of the world than those produced in light. Let us light up our world in the bedroom so we can have transparency and positive energy in this world

Nigerian singer and wife of popular singer, Adekunle Gold, Simi is set to launch the first episode of her new show “Stoopidsession”.

In a snippet she posted on twitter, her mother revealed during one of the episodes that she usually boasted about her daughter’s virginity in church.

Jedidiah Ogunleye, Simi’s mum said; “Even in my church, I used to tell people my daughter is a virgin oh and she’s going to marry a virgin.”

The Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has uncovered a criminal syndicate of bankers that specialized in forging signatures of dead bank customers, and stealing from their accounts.

They also execute fraudulent financial transactions, including unauthorised debits of depositors' funds.

The members of the criminal syndicate, which include, Mbong Essien, Akwa Ephraim Akwa, Precious John, Kenneth Udoetuk and Ubong Udom were on Monday, March 2, 2020 arraigned before Justice Archibong Archibong of the #AkwaIbom State High Court sitting in Uyo, on a 23-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery, obtaining by false pretence and criminal conversion of depositors' funds to the tune of N37,690,000.

The management of Fidelity Bank Plc, Abak Road branch in Uyo and 72 of the bank customers had in a petition dated December 9, 2019, alerted the Commission of suspicious withdrawals from customers’ accounts, including that of a deceased customer.

Investigation by the EFCC revealed that Mbong used his position as the Head, Operations and Transaction Service and Delivery, established a criminal syndicate that specialized in perpetrating the fraudulent transactions and deductions.

Further investigations also showed that without the authorization or knowledge of the management of the bank, the defendants managed a fictitious fixed deposit account with interest accruing to it.

A female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has been found dead in an hotel room in Abuja few days to her passing Out Parade, (POP) following her meeting with a yet to be identified male companion.

The corps member was identified as Amaka Asikaogu.

According to The Nation, the late Amaka and her male friend checked into the New England Hotel in Abuja on Saturday evening, after which the man ordered food and drinks.

Shortly after the two were served their order, the man left the hotel leaving Amaka in the room. As gathered, the hotel staff who saw the man leaving the hotel asked about the lady (Amaka) that accompanied him, and he assured them that she is fine and was alone in the room.

The hotel workers had nonetheless checked on Amaka by placing a call to her room, which she answered, confirming that she was fine and alone in the room. She was said to have been alone in the room till the following day. When it was time to check out, however, Amaka was not seen. The management was worried and had to force their way to the room and found Amaka’s lifeless body in the room.

A distant family friend who pleaded anonymity told reporters that her parents had sent her money for rent when she complained that the person she was staying with asked her to leave the house.

The family friend said: “It was like she was waiting for the end of the weekend before she get the accommodation before the unfortunate incident happened.

Ogunjimi Adeyinka known in the entertainment sphere as Whykay is a music artiste, actor and content creator.

A 19-year-old secondary school leaver, Chigemezu Arikibe, has been tracked down by the police after using fake social media accounts to swindle a Cambodian woman to the tune of $75,000 (N27m at N360 to 1$).

To woo his victim identified simply as Sophanmia, Arikibe reportedly paraded himself on Facebook and Instagram as an American pilot working for a British airline.

City Round gathered that after establishing a relationship with the woman, Arikibe offered to send her expensive gift items and $500,000, for investment in real estate business in Cambodia.

The suspect reportedly told Sophanmia that he would send the parcel to her through a courier in Indonesia and asked her to send $800 for the service.

He was said to have contacted his friend in Indonesia to act as a courier agent and collect the money from his victim.

After sending the money, Arikibe came up with excuses why the parcel could not be delivered and persuaded the woman to send more money accumulating into $75,000.

It was learnt the woman alerted the Nigeria Embassy in Cambodia when she discovered that “the American pilot,” communicating with her was calling from Nigeria and not the United States.

The embassy was said to have alerted the Nigeria Police and operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team led by DCP Abba Kyari went after Arikibe.

A police source told our correspondent that the suspect was trailed to the Mbaitoli area of Imo State where he is based.

The suspect was arrested with the SIM card and the phone he used in committing the crime and when we went through the phone, we saw chats between him and the woman.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to everything and he also said there was a man in Indonesia who helped him pulled out the money from a USA bank account. He claimed to be an American and that was why he gave the woman an American bank account. The worst was that the woman went and borrowed the money from the bank,” the source stated.

Arikibe, while confessing to the crime, said he learnt Internet fraud from his friend within one week and he started on his own.

He said, “I attended Community School, in the Eziooha area of Mbaitoli and graduated in October 2018. It was Ugochukwu my friend who taught me how to do Internet fraud. I opened a fake Fakebook account with the name Frank William and on Instagram I was Patrick William.

I uploaded the pictures of an American pilot on my fake Fakebook and Instagram pages. The pilot later discovered that I used his pictures and he started complaining. He even said he had been arrested three times by the police.

My Facebook account was later blocked, then I focused on Instagram, where I met the client (Sophanmia). I followed her and we started chatting. I told her I am a pilot and we started discussing about life.

I told her I wanted to send expensive clothes, shoes, wrist watches and the sum of $500,000 to her. I told her that the $500,000 would be invested in real estate business.

The teenager explained that he sent pictures of the purported items and the money to the victim which convinced her to send money for the courier service.

He added, “I told her that I have sent the money through a courier company and she would have to pay customs tax. My friend in Indonesia acted like the courier company and they contacted her.

She was given the first bill of $800 and she paid. My Indonesian friend called the woman again and told her that the goods had been seized and they told her to pay $2,700.

She paid the money and they asked her to pay another money which was $6,200. She paid several other monies to have the goods released. She ended up paying $75,000 and I got my share.

The fear of contracting coronavirus has forced Nigerian journalist/publisher Chief Dele Momodu to take urgent precautionary steps.

He has been spotted wearing face mask and gloves at the Murtala Mohammed Airport this morning.

The Ovation Magazine publisher wrote while sharing the photo wrote: “The fear of CORONA VIRUS is the beginning of wisdom…”

His latest move comes after Nigeria confirmed its first case of coronavirus hours ago coming from an Italian man who came from Milan on the 25th for a brief business visit.

The man fell ill on Wednesday the 26th and was transferred to Lagos State Biosecurity Facilities for isolation and testing. He is presently being managed at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba.

More than three years after using email scam to steal about $850,000 in bond construction money that was supposed to go to contractor Adolfson and Peterson Construction, the police have arrested Sherifdeen Mogaji, 39.

Investigators in 2017 believed he had fled to Nigeria, but he was arrested on February 21, 2020 and booked into the Boulder County Jail in Texas, on suspicion of theft of $100,000 to $999,000, computer crime and forgery.

The arrest affidavit states that Mogaji used a New York driver’s license number to open a TD Bank account where the funds were deposited. He allegedly spent around $371,000 in a few months and wired money to himself in Nigeria.

He also spent $31,000 on student loan payments, according to the documents. The district first realized the scam when the contractor, Adolfson and Peterson Construction, asked for payments that already had been made.

The district said a sophisticated email that included a forged signature was sent to its office asking for a form to change routing information. The district then filled out the form and made four payments to a fraudulent account, which totaled $852,733.83.

Authorities were able to recover about $500,000 by freezing the fraudulent account. The district said insurance covered another $200,000, leaving the district with $172,000 stolen.
