I understand your plight my people, I am a Medicinal Chemist myself (first degree in Pharmacy). It is extremely frustrating, time-consuming to do such research in Nigeria. There are no equipment, solvents are very costly amongst several other problems. But some of us are still trying our best, you can surf the net and see myriads of research work done on Nigerian plants.

Thanks and God bless.

He said he have encountered limelight of the gospel of Jesus Christ which call for repentance and restitution.

True morality and religious molarity differs extremely.

so what if he never encountered the limelight of Christ
he must have continued in his sinful ways...that's molarity as regards religion.

Religion only helped him connect (re-connect) with his conscience.

Same with an armed robber who stops taking other people's things because he/she has found religion.

Religious mentality and attitude is killing us deeply!!!

It was a moral decision rather a religious one.

My people complain about the lack of upright people in our society but when one person displays such wonderful quality, he's labelled an idiot.

No wonder we are where we are as a nation.

I don't blame him as much as I blame whoever preached restitution to him... This topic is a very sore one because a course mate of mine experienced something similar...it ended in his death.
Preachers should be careful at what they say some people are quite fickle minded.

That said I hope he didn't get anybody to abort that would be one heck of an interesting restitution.

How Sir?

AreaFada2:
The problem with Africa fora is that matters always take a religious dimension.

Easy to see why we have poor hospitals, poor schools, poor roads, no light, no fuel BUT sparkling mega churches & mega mosques. 10 churches per street, yet no pharmacy or dentist on that street.

After worshiping in these places and forming holy holy, people return to workplace on Monday and continue bribery, looting, corruption, yahoo-yahoo, prostitution, even kidnapping & armed robbery.

What has this got to do with matter at hand?
Simple. Over religiosity prevents us from finding practical & scientific solutions to issues, let us abdicate our duties & ultimately shifting all to GOD to handle.

Did China, Japan, Germany and others succeed with this our approach?

Hmmm

The greatest undoing to Islam is not these terrorists killing in its name, it is the failure to condemn these acts by influential religious leaders and presidents of Islamic countries and organisations.
Their silence is audible and very loud.

You people are funny.

is like saying

'rice is not food'.

Some are trying to justify that errorneous and ridiculous statement.
Just like saying.

Whether Chief Obasanjo slept with his daughter-in-law or didn't is actually none of my business. That is his personal problem. What is paramount is that this is a means to distract us from issues he raised.

And that is my business because they are issues that concern Nigerians.

finni:
"Today, i did my part, i made my stand.
Happy joining OAU students to show
President Jonathan his government
and poverty-inducing capitalist policies
are not welcomed. He expected a
rousing welcome, instead he was
confornted with a protest. Fayose got
perhaps the biggest embarrassment of
his life today. He walked confidently to
Ife students expecting to be
applauded. I can't yet forget the look
of shock on his face as shout of Ole!
Ole ! (Thief! Thief!) rented the air.
Hastily his security details whisked him
away. President Jonathan's convoy
was delayed as students sat on the
road chanting slogans. Clumsily one by
one, the royal fathers made their way
out not sure who next would be
greeted with shout of "thief!"
Those to be pitied (not sure if they
even deserve it though) were the
hundreds of PDP supporters who had
thronged the campus with different
banners to welcome Jonathan. They
looked dejected, their banners
hanging around them. How could they
start dancing as they planned with the
hundreds of students chanting
solidarity songs just beside them? At
the end, as the helicopters lifted from
the ground, i didnt see a single person
waving the President goodbye. It was
like good riddance. If my guess is
right, someone might soon be fired for
fixing OAU on the President's itinery
Despite attempts by a wing of the
union leadership to sell-out, great Ife
students have demonstrated how
oppressors and exploiters should be
treated. I would do it again anytime,
any day. Doing this isnt because we
support the APC. Years ago, i carried
placards to give Tinubu the same
welcome i joined others to give
Jonathan today in the same University
and at the same Oduduwa hall. I
would do it again today just as my
organisation, the Education Rights
Campaign (ERC), played leading roles
in the struggle to defeat the APC
attemps to deny the downtrodden
public education in LASU. PDP and APC
supports the same ruinous capitalist
philosophy that has created the
embarrassing inequality in Nigeria
despite massive oil wealth. Only the
building of an alternative political party
to fight to end capitalism and enthrone
socialism can ensure our problems
begin to have genuine solutions.
To all those with whom we made the
stand against president Jonathan
today, Solidarity!"......H.T. Soweto has spoken. Comrade like Soweto give me hope that the table will turn against these politicians and their saTANists.

Na Soweto be this?

The paramount question should be 'does he have the moral and legal right to contest?'

Culture / Re: Nigerians And Fake Foreign Accents by manjiggy(m): 7:26pm On Nov 01, 2014
The truth is most people regard those who speak with a foreign accent as superior and vice-versa
For example as an ibadan man some people see those of us who speak in our native dialect as razz people.

Even on Nairaland a lot of people make fun of General Muhammadu Buhari because of his accent.

Until we start setting our priorities right, we still have a long way to go.

Be sensible enough to ask why Benue owed 10months salaries, while Ajimobi isn't owing a month?

Shout out to GEJ to stop unnecessary deductions on their monthly allocations.
He has never owned them before till this moment.

Benue is owing it's workers 3 months salary. How does that concern civil servants in Oyo State? Why don't you compare with States that are not owing?

Absolute Antagonism renders ones intellect impotent and breeds mediocrity.

Wield unjustified Resentment is the nearest route to self destruction.

Why on Earth should a people that celebrates Lagos State achievements be this indifferent when the issue relates to the country Nigeria?

When you have no reason to justify your hate on a people or country, it eats you up until insanity start manifesting through some illogical and incoherent statements

People will begin to appreciate statistics when they begin to see tangible effects.

Not when some government official cooks some figures for campaign purposes.

That's the difference between Lagos State Government and Federal Government.
