Politics / Re: Senate Directs Yar' Adua To Hand Over by manpiros: 3:32pm On Jan 30, 2010
The whole damn story about Yar' Adua's state of health has continued to remain a mere speculation to the senate, judiciary, house of Reps and other well meaning Nigerians. I tend to wonder how long it will remain that way.

What will it take for the Senate President,  the Speaker of the house of Reps, the AttorneyGeneral of the Federationand a few truthful Nigerians to take a trip to Saudi Arabia to visit our sick president in the hospital.

They can then come back and have a better way to handle this situation.  Does it mean the hospital is completely off limits.

Nigeria really needs to know the truth.  If he is getting well or deteriorating in health or will not recover enough to handle the affairs of this nation, the truth should be told.  That will inform our mode of prayers for him and for this our great nation.  The earlier the better

Family / Re: Wombs For Rent In Nigeria - Is This Greed Or Madness? by manpiros: 3:13pm On Oct 17, 2009
Saying that its mainly the men that do this sorrugate deal with these girls is a bit being economical with the truth. A lot of childless women are equally in this deal either by way of using it to stabilize their marriage or some other reasons.

I think the government should get into this. Else, it will be another boost for ritual killings and evils. Like my friends said, will all the babies be adopted naturally or used for somethingelse.

God help 9ja. Our own thing dey different.
Investment / Re: Stockbrokers Condemn Publication Of New Debtors' Lists by manpiros: 2:50pm On Oct 17, 2009
I do hope these stockbrokers are speaking the voice of the people or are they as dubious and as ill-informed as the debtors.  They should get it into their brain that genuine debtors don't  have their names published.  How much you borrowed from the bank is not the issue here but how you borrowed  and as well as servicing the loans.  Debtors with genuine collaterals and consistent servicing of their loans in line with banking lending terms have no issues or  business with EFCC or CBN.

A debtor buying jets, houses in overseas and leaving very flamboyant life with an unserviced loan hanging on his neck should get more sembarassment. Collaterals,  recommendations or guarantors and other borrowing requirements are meant for the poor while these guys can secure millions of naira loan through the phone.

When the CBN assists the troubled banks as the stockbrokers rightly suggested, what follows?  The banks give more "unsecured" loans? The CBN, assists again untill they go distressed. Who suffers? Its the poor man and not the huge debtors.  I think the CBN is not even "dishing out" enough embarassment Squeeze the "damn" money out of them in the most unconventional way they used to aquire the loans.

Haba.  Let us wise up 9ja.
Politics / Re: EFCC Explains Clampdown On Debtors by manpiros: 10:10am On Oct 14, 2009
I don't realy give a flinch about how the money is recovered from bank debtors. The bank officials and the debtors are all crooks. The banks have laws and traditions governing loans, borrowing etc. If they can't organise their house, the FBI, EFCC, CIA, or whatever you may call them should do their laundry for them.
That will save us all the trouble of waking up one morning 2 hear our bank(s) is distressed.

Have you even wondered where the monies that have been recovered is coming from. These guys have the money and wont pay their bank debts. A saying goes that if " an antelope runs dangerously, the hunter shoots dangerously". So EFCC, if you have to break "balls" to recover these monies. Fire on. U will be saving lives of people that would die of hypertnsion realising a bank kaving their life fortune has gone distressed.
Thumbs up EFCC.
