Geeked Week is a multi-day event that begins on November 6 and concludes on November 12. Fans should expect new trailers, updates on their favorite shows, and possibly an announcement or two regarding new projects Netflix is working on.

In order to promote the upcoming event, Netflix gave fans a fresh peek at a few important Fire Nation members before what fans hope will be the reveal of a teaser trailer during Geeked Week festivities.

The adaptation of the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon is confirmed to premiere in 2024. Albert Kim (Nikita, Leverage) is serving as showrunner.

In the images released fans of Avatar can see Dallas Liu (PEN15) as Prince Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Kim's Convenience, The Mandalorian) as Uncle Iroh, Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0, Lost) as Fire Lord Ozai, Ken Leung (Inhumans, The Blacklist) as Commander Zhao, and Elizabeth Yu (Somewhere in Queens)as Princess Azula.

SO, Some fans believed Avengers: Endgame's much-discussed "A-Force" moment may have been some kind of tease for a future project, but despite several MCU actors such as Elizabeth Olsen and Brie Larson expressing their excitement at the prospect and reportedly bringing the idea to Kevin Feige, nothing official has been announced.

A recent rumor claimed that Marvel Studios was working on a Daughters of Liberty project (whether it was for the big or small screen is not clear) prior to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and we may now have a little more to go on.

According to CWGST/MTTSH, the Daughters of Liberty will assemble down the road.

Apparently, every character in the image below (aside from Alexa Volkoff, who they mistook for Sharon Carter) will have made their debut either in the MCU or SSU (Sony's Spider-Man Universe) by 2025. Echo, Peggy and Agent 13Sharon Carter already have, and Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman will most likely emerge from the upcoming Madame Web movie. That leaves Iron Patriot/Toni Ho, Mockingbird, and White Tiger.

In the comics, the Daughters were formed as a sisterhood of guardians protecting knowledge of the new era. They were trained in the ways of magic by Agatha Harkness (who may also join their ranks if this project does see the light of day), and also counted Misty Knight, Shuri/Aja-Adanna and Sue Storm among their members.

If Marvel Studios is looking at the Daughters of Liberty for the first all-female MCU team, it's most likely an idea that's being considered rather than something that's actually in active development. But if the DOL really are on the way, which characters would you most like to see make up the ranks?

The season finale of the Disney+ Ms. Marvel series included a post-credits sequence which saw Kamala Khan teleport to parts unknown, only for Captain Marvel to show up in her place. Here, we see what goes down immediately after the events of the show, as Carol Danvers makes her way downstairs to meet the Khan family.

The teaser also provides a more detailed explanation of why the three heroes keep "switching" when they use their powers and how their abilities are all connected, and we get another glimpse of what will likely be the trio's final confrontation with the villainous Dar-Benn.

A recent report indicated that Brie Larson may have become "disillusioned" with her role after suffering from so much online abuse around the release of the first movie and her subsequent MCU appearances, and there was even a suggestion that she may not want to play the space-faring hero any more.

This obviously remains to be seen, but we may get a better idea of Larson's mindset during the movie's press tour (if it even happens with the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike).

It would be wrong to say the Star Wars franchise is in trouble - it has, after all, found huge success on Disney+ in recent years - but if the movies Kathleen Kennedy announced at Celebration this past April don't pan out, that may well be the end of her tenure as Lucasfilm President.

The sequel trilogy has split opinions, with many arguing they were robbed of a satisfying ending to the Skywalker Saga. Of course, the franchise is one that's always suffered from inconsistencies and plot holes, so is the best way to fix that to just start over and retell the story?

Kingsman, X-Men: First Class, and Argylle director Matthew Vaughn believes so.

Asked by Happy Sad Confused (via SFFGazette.com) whether it would be tough to turn down a Star Wars movie at this stage in his career, he responded, "Now, not so much. For me, doing a ‘Star Wars’ movie is to play with the characters I love. If they said to me they’d reboot 'Star Wars' and actually have Luke Skywalker, Solo and Vader and do your version of it. Everyone would say you’re an idiot to try, but that would excite me."

"Why are the [‘Star Wars’] characters so hallowed that from 1977 you can’t re-do it for a new audience?" Vaughn asked, comparing the franchise to James Bond, a series which has continuously recast its leads and enlisted new creative teams.

"‘Star Wars’ is the Skywalker family and that’s where I think they’ve gone wrong. They’ve forgot. They’ve done brilliantly in TV but it needs an epic new film. That’s what I would do [i.e. reboot Luke]. Everyone is going to go batshit crazy but let’s bring it on," Vaughn added. "If you want a new generation, make the movie for them. The old generation, hopefully you make it well enough that they enjoy it."

Is it just us or does that actually sound like an idea with potential? Many franchises have been rebooted over the years and seeing what a different filmmaker would do with the story originally told by George Lucas may be fascinating...or disastrous.

Lucasfilm has recast old faces with new actors in some projects (Solo: A Star Wars Story) and digitally de-aged them in others (The Mandalorian). Even if we're not talking about a full-blown reboot that starts with retelling A New Hope, why not let someone like Vaughn recast those familiar leads and tell a new story? It might work better than attempting to make everything tie together, especially when that presents its fair share of restrictions.

Last weekend, Lucasfilm held a publishing panel at New York Comic Con, and an all-star lineup of Star Wars talent joined Lucasfilm Publishing creative director Michael Siglain to give us a first look at what next year holds for Marvel Comics' line of Star Wars comics.

The exciting announcements included an all-new limited series starring Mace Windu which will hit stands just in time for the 25th-anniversary celebration of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, a comic adaptation of Timothy Zahn's New York Times #1 best-selling Thrawn: Alliances novel, and the return of Jango Fett.

Launching in January, Star Wars: Thrawn - Alliances will see Zahn team up with writer Jody Houser and artists Andrea Di Vito and Pat Olliffe to bring his groundbreaking chapter of Thrawn's saga to Marvel Comics. In the story, we'll witness the tactical prowess of the Galaxy's most dangerous mind in action as Thrawn begins his legendary rise to power and forges a lasting and deadly partnership with Darth Vader.

And, if you're still wondering how Thrawn knew Anakin Skywalker after watching Ahsoka, it will be this series which sheds light on that.

January also marks the explosive conclusion of Ethan Sacks’ Star Wars: Bounty Hunters with issue 42. Valance the bounty hunter has one final mission to complete...and it may indeed be his last. Can he and the crew fight their way past Boba Fett…and Jabba’s secret weapon? We'll find out in a grand finale that’s been four years in the making.

In February, one of the greatest Jedi must stop an incendiary secret from falling into the wrong hands in Star Wars: Mace Windu, a new limited series written by Marc Bernardin and illustrated by Georges Jeanty. Even in the years before the Clone Wars, Mace Windu was known for his discipline, determination and combat skills.

That's the case for any big movie, of course, and a lot were scrapped for the usual pacing or plot reasons. Some, however, would have potentially changed the franchise as we know it, better fleshing out certain characters or moments and even setting the stage for bigger stories which still haven't been told.

8. Anakin Skywalker Attacks Greedo
When we met Anakin Skywalker in The Phantom Menace, we saw little of the man he would one day become. In fact, an argument could be made that George Lucas failed to show the darkness within him until Attack of the Clone's infamous Sand Trooper slaughter.

In this deleted scene, we find Anakin attacking a Rodian who accused him of cheating in the Boonta Eve Podrace.

Qui-Gon Jinn steps in to break the fight up and offers Anakin some advice on how to control his temper (something we know he struggled with prior to becoming Darth Vader). As for the Rodian, one of the other kids warns Greedo - yes, that Greedo - he's likely to one day meet a "bad end."


7. Luke Skywalker Creates His New Lightsaber
In a cave on Tatooine prior to Luke Skywalker's arrival at Jabba's palace, we found the Jedi Knight putting the finishing touches to his lightsaber.

He's then shown placing it inside R2-D2, a moment which will obviously be important later in Return of the Jedi. However, just as noteworthy is the fact Darth Vader is shown simultaneously trying to reach out to his son through the Force.

Luke doesn't respond, leaving it ambiguous as to whether he's ignoring his father or somehow being influenced by the Sith Lord. The fact Vader wants to connect with his son also better explains his actions down the line.

After making four appearances as Arthur Curry (not counting photographs) in the DCEU, Jason Momoa will reunite with Aquaman director James Wan for what will almost certainly be his final time playing the King of Atlantis in upcoming sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Now, Empire has debuted a new look at the Game of Thrones alum in his updated costume via the mag's latest covers.

The news-stand version sees Aquaman striking a pose after plunging his trident (surely he's used the wrong end there?) into the ice, while the subscriber-only cover features an ice sculpture of the hero, created by Justin Metz.

The trades recently confirmed ongoing rumors that Momoa will be leaving Aquaman behind to play a completely different character in James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DCU, Lobo. Though there's been no official announcement, Warner Bros. is expected to make the news official before the end of the year.

"Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. All returning to the roles they originated, Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry/Aquaman, no, after w balancing his duties as both the King of Atlantis and a new father; Patrick Wilson is Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother and his nemesis, who must now step into a new role as his brother’s reluctant ally; Amber Heard is Mera, Atlantis’ Queen and mother of the heir to the throne; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, committed more than ever to avenge his father’s death by destroying Aquaman, his family and Atlantis; and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, a fierce leader and mother with the heart of a warrior. Also reprising their roles are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin."

The latest Fantastic Four rumour is perhaps the weirdest yet as it’s said Spider-Man: Far From Home star Jake Gyllenhaal has been offered the role of Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic. Check it out!

Did you think you'd seen the last of crazy Fantastic Four rumours? Guess again.

While we’re definitely taking this one with a pinch of salt, it's said that after Matt Smith passed on the role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, the character was offered to Spider-Man: Far Way Home star Jake Gyllenhaal.

This wouldn’t be the first time an actor has pulled double duty in the MCU, though it's also a very different situation to Gemma Chan appearing in both Captain Marvel and Eternals.

Minn-Erva and Sersi look nothing alike and only the most eagle-eyed viewer might have realised the person playing those characters was the same actress. Gyllenhaal, on the other hand, was unforgettable as Mysterio, with even a six-year gap between the movies arguably not enough to justify him suiting up as the Fantastic Four’s leader.

He’d definitely be a good fit for the role, and if Smith has indeed passed, then it could be down to him and Adam Driver. John Krasinski presumably isn’t interested in a long-term deal as we can’t figure out why Marvel Studios wouldn’t turn to the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star instead of recycling an actor who played one of the MCU's most memorable bad guys.

Gyllenhaal's other credits include Nightcrawler, Prisoners, and Ambulance. He came close to replacing Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2 when the actor suffered a back injury but he didn't enter the web-slinger's world for another 17 years, playing Quentin Beck in the Infinity Saga's epilogue, Far From Home.

Galactus is expected to be the big bad of Matt Shakman's reboot, with an unnamed Herald - supposedly not Silver Surfer - expected to be at the side of the Devourer of Worlds.

As of now, it appears Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn are a lock for Invisible Woman and the Human Torch respectively.

Antonio Banderas supposedly remains in the mix to star as Galactus, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach may end up playing the aforementioned Herald or, based on recent reports, The Thing.

Then, there are the Doom rumours. Oppenheimer star Josh Hartnett is said to be in the running to play the Latverian dictator, though the villain will reportedly only appear in a minor capacity near the end of the film. Either way, we'd guess the idea is for Doctor Doom to take aim at Marvel's First Family in an eventual sequel.

No official announcements will be made until the SAG-AFTRA strike ends and work on the movie's script is thought to have been halted thanks to the WGA strike. Whether that leads to a release date delay remains to be seen.

For now, though, Fantastic Four is set to be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is now available to buy or rent on Digital from Paramount Home Entertainment. Jeff Rowe, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg's reboot is one of the year's best-reviewed movie and a new beginning for the awesome foursome which has been embraced by fans of all ages.

Those of you who purchase the film on Digital will be able to delve into the making of the movie with over 40 minutes of bonus content. That means getting to join the young new voice cast as they explore the "teen" in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before going behind the scenes with the all-star voice cast, including Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, and many more.

As if that's not enough, this release also includes featurettes exploring the film's unique animation style and even a lesson on how to draw the leader of the Ninja Turtles, Leonardo!

A few days ago, we were fortunate enough to speak with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman to get his thoughts on Mutant Mayhem's exciting new take on the long-running franchise. We were particularly curious to find out how he felt about the movie's game-changing ending.

In that [SPOILER WARNING], the Heroes in a Half-Shell are embraced by the public as heroes and end up attending high school, sans disguises, as themselves. This is the first time we've seen that happen, with it seemingly setting the stage for the Paramount+ TV series that's expected to be released before a planned big screen sequel.

"Well, it’s definitely [different]," Eastman tells us in the video above. "It’s something where we always loved the secrecy and secret identity of different characters like Spider-Man. He was obviously a big inspiration when it comes to having a teenager in high school, but we have tried a few concepts even on Nickelodeon where they’d have a cloaking device which made them look like teenagers and they’d go out for a Pizza Friday thing."

"But it’s always been on the cusp and we’ve never found a way to make it would that would be acceptable. I think because of the pop culture-isms of there being so many comic book universe stories that have been done in a way that’s it’s becoming more accepted, you can now cross that line and make it more of an accepted thing than you could have done even five or ten years ago."

"I think the timeliness of it was right and it was an idea we wanted to try, even adding a female Turtle into some of the original comics that we’re still working on," he continues. "The timing was right and I think it works real good. It feels story-first, organic, and not forced. It feels like it was meant to be that way."

We're curious to see where this is heading and, while it's the teens being legit high school students is something new for them, it felt like the right note to end Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello's story on. However, with Splinter looming, this happy ending seems unlikely to last!

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
