Me: yes, I' m going to TTU to study for my Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering
VO: How long have you been working?
Me: Over 5 years now
VO: looks at me surprisingly
Me: Yes I started working since (mentions the exact date on my DS160)
VO: Oh I see. Where do you work?
Me: I work at Bleep Oil and Gas Services Limited as a Petroleum Production Optimization Engineer. Bleep company is an oil servicing firm that is involved in drilling, production optimization, well completion and reservoir engineering services for the upstream sector and my duties include; I design tubing head, buttom hole and wellbore equipment for artificial lift solutions, I also ...( VO cuts in)
VO: I can see you have some funding. Who will pay the deficit?
Me: My stepfather. Mr. Bleep, he is a businessman in the oil and gas industry. He has 3 filling stations that sells PMS. He is also a real estate developer, he buys land, develops it and sells to people. He also has two hotels that generates income for him.
VO: how many rooms does the hotels have?
Me: 45 rooms each with a total of 60 staffs
VO: what did you study as an undergraduate?
Me: Petroleum Engineering
VO: Alright make sure you observe covid-19 guidelines and do all bla bla bla ....... hands me white paper, my I20 and DS160 confirmation. This paper will tell you how you'll pick your passport in 2-5 business days.

I really prepared hard but all the "why this course"? "Why this school" ? and e.t.c ..... never came up. Please in whatever you do make sure you know what you filled in your DS160 form and fill that form by yourself. Also never you memorize answers. The interview can come in any form. Just be prepared and pray to Jehovah the most high that ruleth in the affairs of men. It was all by his grace.

Today 22/06/21, I received my passport with my visa on it.

Mail from school says "Your I-20 must be printed on high quality, standard US paper (8.5 inches wide by 11 inches long). Please do not use A4 paper or another size paper".

Please what is standard US paper?

No, I'm using SL and I've had it since February ( it doesn't have any date of expiry on it). I didn't rebook just now, I've had AD before the lockdown and it was cancelled. I enrolled for the just concluded summer online and I finished the summer semester online ( passively though ) and I enrolled for winter again in August. So I sent a mail attaching my enrollment certificate that shows I'm a student till next year, my letter of presence, previous AD and the cancelled AD.
That was all I did.

I did all that but I believe everything was God's mercies and favour that made everything possible. So, I had faith, so much faith but my faith also led and directed me to take some steps.
This might be helpful for anyone.

When i told sm ppl reality last year, coz i started applying for ad since june under cat A, til october i couldnt get a date, so i tried using scholarship, i got ad in less than a week.

I gave the solution to the ad problem but nigerians came after me. I had to use the term nigerian coz of the kind of people who came after me, coz obviously their thinking was very ridiculous.

We have an ad problem, fix it no. Lets come out wit how to fix it no, ok this is my submission what do u think. Them brand me devil even report me join lol. They hv dz do nothing and rely on faith. One year later we still have same problem

Concerning the health insurance. I'm above 30years, I have opened a blocked account with Expatrio and was given a free private health insurance as part of the account package. I know fintiba plus has same package. Please can that free private health insurance be accepted by the embassy for visa application or I need to purchase another one?

Defering may not be the best option. My school TU Clausthal said the winter semester will be a hybrid semester and they said everyone who needed a letter of presence must enrol as soon as possible. I did because the embassy already stated it's a requirement and they sent my letter of presence stating I must be present 14.01.21 latest and my enrolment certificate will be sent to me in 2 weeks time. So once classes starts on Oct. 26, I'll start attending lectures online while waiting for the embassy to give appointment date. I'm watching the development at the embassy to know how things unfolds. We keep our fingers crossed and pray for appointment date although I still have a lot of time for consideration till January 2021.

In September/October Summer 2021 Portal will open. Wen some are yet to even sort out the Winter Admission issues.

The best way out is that Summer Semester 2021 will be canceled to absolved the backlog.

Let's use our head. Keep an eye on defering the Admission to next Winter. E get why...

Good morning. One of the requirement for the visa applications says "evidence of work experience". I'm going for MSc. Data Science but have a background from Petroleum Engineering. Though I have worked as a Data Analyst for some years which is the reason for taking MSc. Data Science. Please what document is an acceptable evidence of work experience? Good day everyone. Please I have two questions.
1. After getting admission, in order to open a Fintiba German blocked account do I need to fill any form at the embassy or everything is done online (fintiba website)
2. With regards to birth certificate/Attestation of birth, I fall into the catrgory of people born before 1992. However I have attestation of birth cert. And an affidavit deposed to by my elder sister ( not the head of the family as stipulated) please can I use this? And what if I decide to swear a new affidavit will they accept a recently sworn affidavit of date of birth or they need an old one.
