Who will pay the fees? Are they both related?

Who has better account i.e. Higher balance and can prove the source of income?

Though my sponsor has been able to explain our relationship in his sponsorship letter .. I felt adding a cosponsor would help ease the burden ...and also show the VO that funds ain't an issue..

Naaa.... dey aren't... sponsor has beta Acc and is presently working..... cosponsor is retired with a very sound asset base and generates funds from rent...

third party in what context? I guess it isn't family friend?

More like a distant relation....that's for the cosponsor...
Sponsor is my cousin..though second cousin...

Hello everyone....Pls my sponsor and cosponsor are both third party..hope dat doesn't raise a red flag ..as both re willing to transfer funds to me to show commitment since I was declined on basis of insufficient funds

Marvelous3,Hello young lady just passing and saw your GCMS Note and some comments made so far. your refusal is a minor one, either you get substantial proves of relationship with your cousin and also making financial commitment whilst explaining how the root of you both relationship are and convincingly why he has taken such responsibility to sponsor you.In addition there is a very vital angle you are being skeptical and I would say yes that since May 2016 and any moment you would want to submit your reapplication is approximately (A 1YR GAP) don't leave that gap unexplained/uncovered/not-tackled, if not you may not be favoured. It was ok in your last application because it was less than 1yr but as you are re-applying, you work on your present condition b/c relevant criteria for satisfying visa requirement will be examined according to your profile before you will be granted this 2nd time.

Nice program choice. Socio-economic ties wasn't stated in your gcms. So, I don't think the work thing will affect.

However, are you saying you aren't doing anything apart from sleeping, eating, and watching TV for almost a year now? No helping a sister/mom/aunt in shop? No certification? Nothing nothing?

Lol....More like reading nairaland , couple of seminars..no certification to show for it though and a brief voluntary supervisory gig that ain't really related to my discipline and no proof to show for it ...just on my cv..so am sceptical about including it so I don't shoot myself on the foot..

I think moniker Osemigho has tackled your gcms with His response, to me your's is fair enough.. you got less work 2do in re-packaging.

Goodluck 2 us all as we prepare 2 bounce back

Thanks.... am not working and didn't provide any employment docs

Read few pages back where the format of sponsor paying fees and transferring money to your account, while supporting with documents, letter, and affidavit had been discussed.

I hope your new program is related and higher than previous one, or you addressed it well in your LoE or SoP if otherwise.

Yea I did.. I am going for the same program at a Masters level... secondly.. finished service may 2016 and haven't been working since then ..is this a cause to worry about though not up to one year..

They actually do. Depending on the domicile account and currency on the payment invoice. CBN will only approve it in USD but the bank will do the cross rate and CAD equivalent will be sent directly to the school in canada. Canadian school won't take USD nau. it must be recieved by them in their currency.

@Austinpee.... bro ..been trying to send you a pm...please buzz me on oikengah@yahoo.com.. need your help on some stuffs
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Marvelous3: 9:49pm On Mar 01, 2017
Austinpee4:

1.You don't have to create a new account. The one you have can be used to apply again online. This will be your CIC account for all application involving canadian immigration. If you at any point lose details of the account and decide to create a new one, your previous application(s) will be linked to it from the system.(except with different details than the one you previously used)

2. Input your tuition fees as written on your admission letter in the tuition section of the app form and not as funds available. Funds available will be the total money you have claimed to be available for your studies.(tuition +living expenses). If the money in your account is in naira, do your conversion well. (you may want to use oanda.com for that)

Paying the part tuition and having a co- sponsor transfer the funds to you is a good idea but you must also consider the duration of your program.
So available funds must cover your tuition as written on your offer letter plus living expenses for atleast 1 year. CIC will also check if you/sponsor can raise the equivalent if your program is more than a year.
You should however have the co-sponsor do an affidavit of sponsorship and write a letter stating why he/she decided to sponsor you. If you can also prove a relationship, perfect!

Ultimately, wait for the gcms file. It will be more revealing and you can better tackle raised concerns by the VO.

@Austinpee thanks bro for the insight ... I didn't show proof of relationship with my sponsor... we are related but getting a proof is sumwat difficult cause we 2nd cousins...how do u feel I could go around that to convince the VO of his intent ..

Hello house...... got alot of help here for my application but unfortunately it was delayed due to financial reasons.. all I paid was the mandatory acceptance fee of $2k CAD. Had a nyc sponsor's SOA as well... still awaiting my GCMS note but I wud like to confirm some issues.

1. I applied through paper route and linked my application online .. if I want to reapply using the online platform do I still go through my previously created Gckey login and reapply from there or I hav to recreate another

2. For the funds available section do I split the total fee by half nd put it dere (since dey concerned about a yr's funds)or do I have to put the full tuition for 2yrs(which i did in my previous app)as written on my admission letter??

I intend paying my first semester fee which is half of full tuition, get a co-sponsor and have dem transfer at least a total of 10kUSD to my account... would that suffice to prove sufficient funds available

Hello everyone.

I salute u all. For 2 months plus, i have been a silent reader and a constant visitor of this thread.

For MUN applicants, in few days time, reply should come for those that had thier admission closed 15th of Feb or before. I also applied to MUN for Fall admission to History dept for a masters program, discussing with my potential supervisor when i asked him of the possibility of being admitted, he said "when your file gets to me i will make a convincing case for you, but note that the final decision still recets with d grad committee". Have been thinking of what exactly he is trying to pass accross (help is needed).

Also, i have read posts on d visa application. I must say a big congratulations to those that had gotten n to everyone that has not gotten in advance. I want to ask, while applying for a trv and when asked if a visa has been rejected before can a yes be given? cos i applied for a visa lottery (a provincial on though) to canada through Jonathan king in 2013 and i was not qualified. Can i say that have been rejected a visa before because i am in a dilemma.

Thanks in anticipation.

In MUN graduate application as in other schools they are various stages. What he means is that when your file comes to the department he would recommend you to the department who would either accept or reject his recommendation and in turn (if they accept) further recommend you to sgs which has the final say over graduate decision matters..

Occupation should be ''Student'' nah what else.. On the current activity section ''leave it blank'' since you are not doing anything for now because the gap between when you finished your School/NYSC to applying for study permit isnt more than a year, yours is just 6months, but put whatever you did in your NYSC as your previous occupation.. hope it helps.
