Family / Re: Is It Okay For A 20-Year-Old Girl To Marry? by masskeemz: 4:31pm On Sep 13, 2016
What's her reasoning capacity like?
What's her general perspective to life?
What's her view of marriage?
What are her priorities generally in life?

As for the guy, are those the only reasons?
Hasn't he seen better ladies?
What guarantee is there that when he meets better lOoking ladies he wouldn't cheat?
What is his level of commitment regarding her education?
What is his educational qualification? Most men wouldn't want their women to advance higher than them educationally. If he has a low qualification, there might be questions.
If he is only looking for a virgin inexposed lady to fill his need for a decent and responsible girl, soon he might complain about her crudeness especially in sex matters etc.
You need assess them both, educationally, psychologically, demographically and above all, seek her position. Let her will prevail above anything else. She is old enough to take responsibility for her choices but if she grew up as an introvert, I'm afraid she doesn't know anything yet and might only be naïve in her decisions and not really deciding from an informed point of view
Romance / Re: Could My Fiancee's Uncle Be Sleeping With Her? by masskeemz: 11:24am On Jul 16, 2016
As a journalist, my suggestions might be costly but worthwhile.

1. Try following her around, patiently and discretely.

2. If you can, plant a chip on her device to help you track their conversations while together. Or betterstill, check her phone call settings, activate auto answer mode and set its time to maybe 1second. During that period, you only call her at odd hours so that the device can answer the call before she knows it and then you pay keen attention to the conversation or sound in the background.

3. Pay an unannounced visit to the house (uncle's) whenever he's around. Her reaction will tell you where you belong.

4. Or simply tell her you met with the uncle and had a long chat with him. She'll express shock and suddenly become restless once that happens if she's snooping.

5. Steal the uncle's number and call when she's with you before she knows it. Place the call on loud and talk to him as an in-law to be. Watch her reaction.

NB: successful investigation is largely hinged on patience, objectivity and balance, giving equal treatment to all sides involved. Thanks

irunooboo:
The real terrorist are IPOB and Niger Delta Avengers. The fulanis only attack farmers for grazing their cattle while the IPOB and Avengers attacks oil installations which affects the economy and electricity.

B4 oil and electricity, who sustained Nigeria? So oil installations are now more valuable than farmers' lives? NIA is coming 4u

Nairaland / General / Tenant Rights: What Sections Of The Constitution Address Arbitrary Rent Increase by masskeemz: 7:48am On Jun 02, 2016
Please help. My landlady's caretaker just served me a flimzy paper (unsigned, not dated or stamped) claiming it's from the court, notifying me of her new renting rates. This is barely after a 115% increase she did last two years and I want to approach the court to protest. Any professional legal advice?
Politics / Plateau: One Ghost Worker Gulps Salaries Of 1,832 Teachers by masskeemz: 11:42am On May 29, 2016
Ghost Workers: 1,832 Plateau Teachers' Salaries Siphoned by One Person

By Masara Kim,

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State says his administration has uncovered a salary leakage where one person believed to be a ghost worker claims the salaries of 1832 teachers in the state.

Addressing a media parley at the Government House in Jos, Lalong said search is still on to uncover all ghost workers milking the state's resources.

"One person had the salary of 1832 teachers.

"Yet we are looking for teachers while one person is taking their salary already and maybe that person is not even a teacher," he said.

Lalong revealed that as a result of the activities of ghost workers who could not be rid during previous verification exercises, the state has not been able to ascertain its actual wage bill.

"We have carried out several verification exercises and they keep telling us there are no ghost workers.

"It's even God that helped us that this N5bn (salary bail out balance from FG) did not come, otherwise they would have paid and there would be no ghost workers.

"On my own I have said that this N5bn will not be paid until I know the actual wage bill of my state so we have done that together with the verification and are now into Bank Verification Number (BVN) reconcilliation.

"It is my believe that at the end of the exercise, a concrete report will be produced," the governor stated.

He however declined making the names of those already identified to be ghost workers public saying, "We will not expose them because some people are running.

"Even the salary they said they were supposed to collect, they are nolonger coming to collect them."

To this end, enough funds are available to commence salary payments after the BVN harmonization, Lalong disclosed.

"The salaries are there and we are saying if you are bold enough; if you are not a ghost worker, go and collect the salary.

"They (ghost workers) know that as they go there to collect the salary, they are going for prosecution," the governor stressed.

Plateau State has had records of salary failure since the start of democratic rule, with ghost workers mostly blamed for the glitches.

The past administration of Jonah Jang conducted series of verification exercises with a view to identifying and ridding ghost workers but could not achieve much as different exercises produced varying results as to the size of the civil service in the state.

The present administration is however hopeful that such would be dealt with towards clearing the salaries of civil servants that have lingered since January 2016.
