According to reports gathered by #MayorNaijaBlog from a collegue and closed friend to the Family ,who pleaded anonymity, She Stated categorically that Mercy Aigbe's Marriage to lanre Gentry has hit the Rock due to Domestic Violence


#MayorNaijaBlog also gathered exclusively that the divorce process is currently in court has the couple visited the court last week or thereabout to finalize their divorce process

Other reports from close friends also stated infidelity and Physical abuse as other reasons for the Divorce

Recall that there was alot of controversy around the relationship between Mercy Aigbe and Her hobby Lanre, it was rumoured that mercy aigbe allegedly snatched Lanre from his first wife who bore him 3 Daughters as at when he met mercy Aigbe

The Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Benin has upheld the election of Governor Godwin Obaseki, declaring that the petition fihled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, to be declared winner of the election lacked merit.

The Tribunal stated among other things that the reliance of the petitioners on the ticking of the name of a prospective voter on the left side of the voters’ register to mark complete accreditation was only an administrative guideline for election officials.

For many who are familiar with the celebrity gists in Naija, the news of Toyin Aimakhu's marriage failure is no news. However, her short affairs with Ebony film boss, Seun Egbegbe might sound confusing, owing to the fact that the actress appeared to be head over heels in love with her estranged hubby, Adeniyi Johnson.
We are then left to ponder on why our beautiful talented actress, Toyin went ahead with Seun Egbegbe when we know she deeply loved Adeniyi.


From our findings here on MayorNaijaBlog, we have been able to gather 5 reasons why Toyin and Egbegbe should not have dated.

1. Toyin Aimakhu and Seun Egbegbe's short relationship looked to us like a payback. She was obviously hurt by her failed marriage with Adeniyi Johnson and needed comfort. What they had (Toyin and Seun Egbegbe) was never love but pity, cravings for cuddles and nothing more. That was short and of course, another waste of time.

2. If you recall, in an interview which went viral after Toyin's split with Egbegbe, he clearly stated that he was happily married with two kids. So, what exactly was Toyin thinking to have dated him? Jumping from fry pan to fire?

3. His spoken-English is zero! This definitely is not the best person to use to spite Adeniyi Johnson, whose English is apparently far better.

4. Toyin never got over Adeniyi Johnson. After they parted ways, Toyin still cried her heads out after seeing Adeniyi Johnson on a movie set playing an emotional role. Moving on to Seun didn't seem like a good thing at all.

5. According to Seun Egbegbe, Toyin Aimakhu can never be with a man for the rest of her life. In his words; 'Toyin can never stay under any man's roof' This explained why they never ended up married. Obviously, they were never compatible as they kept on jumping from one relationship issue to another.

6. Sadly, Seun Egbegbe has just gotten his hands burnt again. Today, 22nd of November, the Ebony film boss was reported to have stolen iPhone 7 and was mercilessly beaten up in computer Village Ikeja, Lagos. Unfortunately for Toyin Aimakhu, Seun Egbegbe is being linked to her, thereby bringing shame on her name. This wouldn't have happened if they hadn't dated.

An unconfirmed report indicates that Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate Prof Wole Soyinka may be arriving Nigerian soil for good, any moment from now.

A photo circulated on the social media by a Nigerian, Prince Adeyinka Success, who said he was traveling out of the U.S but with his Canadian passport, shows the Nobel Laureate already inside a plane arranging his hand luggage.

Prince Adeyinka posted on his Facebook wall: “Fellow Nigerians !!! Prof and I are on our way to Nigeria.” MayorNaijaBlog could not, however, authenticate the veracity of the information if it was a joke or when the photo was taken.

It's no New News That Donald Trump has won and automatically Melania would reign alongside him as the First Lady of the United States,That's alright and most of us have accepted this fact.

But Scrolling down some Post Updates on Facebook, I noticed one intriguing and worrisome post, the writer of this post was lamenting on how much Michelle Obama would be missed as the U.S First Lady and on how much Melania Trump would never fit in the Former First Lady's shoe.

Still, on that premise, it struck my mind, and I had to ask, will the United States- World Power in all it's magnificence have a dummy First Lady? because I can clearly see a replica of Patience Johnathan wife of the former President of Nigeria in her.


So what's the similarities here?


Remember when excited Donald Trump personally introduced his wife to the cheering delegates gathered in Cleveland, breaking the tradition by appearing before his actual nomination so she could render her speech in support of her Husband at the Republican National Convention. Everyone was surprised to learn that Melania Trump had only reechoed Michelle Obama words in the speech she gave at the Democratic Equivalent in 2008.


Of course, it moved from being a mere allegation to fact as Melania Trump's speech with proves was similar to one Michelle Obama gave at the Democratic equivalent in 2008.
Does this presuppose that just like Patience Johnathan, Melania could be a Dummy, that even with all her advisers she couldn't put down an original speech ?
