Skima you are Lagos right? wouldn't a visit to an MTN retail outlet or office give you this information? |
![]() |
you heard me right N130K with free biometric flash drive. point of correction for the poster the model number is TOSHIBA SATELLITE U305-S5077 and not TOSHIBA SATELLITE U305-25077.This does not come in the 14.1 screen, only 13.3. poster make sure your specification is correct before posting it. |

Brume, Yes the homework is equivalent to a part time job. I did a lot of research ,but i found it quite amazing that I had to make my decisions based on incoherent and inconsistent information I gathered from several "reliable" sources. I went with my gut and I am investing my hard earned money as well into it. There is good opportunity for this sorta business. One of the bottlenecks I am trying to resolve is logistics as that is the brunt of the nightmares I encountered. I am exploring an option I discovered today and if it works out well , that will be a major breakthrough for me. right now I am trying to figure out a way to introduce ordering the products via my website. There is a lot of trust issue back home. A few options are being explored to see how they can help mitigate the trust issues nigerians have with purchasing goods form Nigerian owned sites. Turn over is the name of the game. are you hoping to go online as well? Cheers Mazia |

I started shipping cell phones, laptops and computer accessories and I try to provide this goods at an affordable price for my fellow contri men back home. Its hard enough to make money in naija and then be exploited. |

Brume your prices are not bad, wish you the best in your endeavor. |
![]() |
@ chino 101 your prices are a bit high don't you think? I would sell the exact same spec for N130,000 plus free biometric 2GB flash drive. |

@Apmis It is going to be an ecommerce site, where you can order consumer electronics at what i would consider an affordable price and it will be sent from the US to your destination within 10days or less. I am working out some integration issues with interswitch and my database. what piques your interest in my next shipment as I am getting ready to place orders.A nairalander just placed an order with me yesterday for a laptop, once I deliver,he will be a testimonial to others . |

how expensive are the blackberry phones in naija? which model is gaining popularity. here in the US it is the pearl and curve. |
![]() |
yeah centrino for 40k is definitely stolen property, i would stay away from that sorta deal. |

@adewaleafolabi Thanks for the opinion, I will make the adjustment in the graphics card type, did not think it made much difference. when is your site scheduled to launch, cos mine is scheduled to launch on the 29th of september. Actually it will be ready on the 15th of september but we will have to test it nad fix any bugs that may arise before going public. |

KK are you saying that laptops in nigeria are that expensive that paying for such configuration is one of the ways of owning a laptop at a decent price ![]() @adewaleafolabi what laptop configuration in Nigeria have you seen and priced and would consider affordable ? most Nigerians want to buy quality stuff at unrealistic prices. |
![]() |
If I had any of those systems , that is equiavalent to a self inflicted torture! but I can understand some people might have need of them, wow there is no better way of getting trained in being patient than working with systems configured as the posters have described. |

I am wondering why Nigeria has not picked up on e-commerce despite the high net usage recorded in the big cities. what do you think is the most probable cause of this, I see a couple of sites are up and running, have they been successful in wooing the public and do they offer any competitive advantage over the traditional way of shopping{ going to to the retail outlets}. just for clarity I am talking about why nigerian retail industry is not effectively utilizing the convenience of ecommerce? below is a site with data on imports and exports to and fro Naija? http://comtrade.un.org/db/dqBasicQueryResults.aspx?px=H1&cc=8471&r=566&y=2003 |
