Computers / Re: Poor Internet Services By All Nigerian Internet Providers by mazia(m): 5:16am On Jun 22, 2007
I am not quite familiar with the nigerian internet providers service but i know for sure it lousy. Correct me if i am wrong, i think one of the reasons for the high price nigerians pay for internet access is due to lack of affordable power, running cell towers on generators with fuel/diesel rpices skyrocketing at the ticking of the clock calls for such adjustment in the price structure of their service.

I believe they have to anticipate the possible fuel hikes and charge a premium that will remain fairly constant until the anticipated price is reached then it will be increased to buffer the effect? Are there any plans by the nigerian govt to provide low cost consistent power to firms that depend on it for their operations? embarassed
Celebrities / Re: Ramsey Nouah Vs. Richard Mofe Damijo by mazia(m): 5:07am On Jun 22, 2007
I don't know much about RMD but I have spent some time partying with ramsey when he was here in the US[maryland to be precise last year] and his mannerism was nothing to write home about. Granted he got the attention from the ladies, thats about the only substance it appears he posseses, besides a few good acting skills.

On the other hand RMD comes off as a mature, calculated gent, which is more appealing to those that value men with class and some sort of high moral values.

I will pick RMD based on my brief encounter with ramsey.

Business / Re: I Need A Lender Or Investor! by mazia(m): 4:57pm On Jun 06, 2007
@amaratex,

Most entrepreneurs have good ideas that might appear profitable, if you are sure about the profitability of your business plan, you cant get a lender and or investor by telling them you can make profit.
Do you have a business plan?

Have you conducted a realistic feasibility study of your product and its target market?

Is this an innovative product[making something that already exists better] or is it an invention?

If you have these on hand, first of all go and copyright your idea or get a patent if such thing exists in 9ja otherwise sign an NCND with whomever you are going to share your idea with for assistance with initial capital.

I might be interested if you have a good offer.

Romance / Re: How To Find A Boyfriend Online by mazia(m): 9:48pm On Jun 04, 2007

Spread yourself around and cast your net widely so you are likely to catch at least one fish in the Internet sea.

Well online dating for Nigeria?? wow , I need to keep myself abreast with whats going on back home. someone just called you Dr Love, how can you explain a sitaution where you are talking to three or more women online trying to score one for a date and they all show interest in you?
how would you handle that without coming off as a player?
Personally i dont give a hoot about online dating but having your profiles at many dating sites gives the impression of a desperate man.

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by mazia(m): 3:15pm On May 29, 2007
Quite interesting what i have read so far on this forum. I currently reside in canada and will be coming back to naija this august 2007. I have a couple of receivers that are i am hoping will receive more channels than what you guys have posted on here. I will be sending two of them to Naija this week for testing and if they receive channels we are hoping to view from naija i will bring alot back with me on my trip as well as keep you all posted on the channels you can view and the technicalities involved. cool

Here people watch the premium channels without paying a fee but its illegal and i am not part of that. as per Iretunde, I tried getting a hold of you but for some reason your phone is screening my calls LOL, do you have an email add?

ok folks keep the info rolling? if its free and legal, go for it.
