Both cars are superb! I'd say you should take Honda cos I've driven 2 n will still own more in my afterlife.!! TOYOTA are reliable so is the Honda but mechanics prefer to work on Toyota cos it has more room in the bonnet for parts replacement and also very easy to manipulate oem parts unlike Honda and benz that need oem parts.. another tip 1999-2008 have ball-joint issues. Honda need regular maintaining and original parts.. thank you

Yeah, about the ball-joint issue. I drove my Honda Accord 2003 for 5 years and never had that issue. But maybe using the car for ride hailing on the side may add additional pressure which might make it fail. Just thinking.

Car Talk / Honda Accord 2008 V. Toyota Camry 2007 by MaziObiagu1: 7:53pm On Mar 09, 2023
Hello folks please I need your advice. I am caught between getting either a Honda Accord 2008 (Evil Spirit) and a 2006 Toyota Camry (Big Daddy).

I love the Honda. I am biased in favour of the Honda but many have advised against using the Honda for my purpose (without being clear on the reason) so I need your insights.

I intend to also use the car for a side business (Uber). I plan to use it for ride hailing at my free time, usually evenings after work.

My second option is the 2007 Toyota Camry (Big for Nothing). I am considering this car because of its durability and reliability but I hate the interior. It also has a better resale value and can be sold faster. I intend to sell within 6 months. This is my second choice because it is spacious and has good interior compared to other Toyota cars of the same price point.

Both cars are currently selling at the same price, even though the Accord is a far superior car.

I know there are related threads (which I’ve read) but there’s a difference in my situation.

PS I have driven a 2003 Toyota Corolla and a 2003 Honda Accord before.

I will need your honest reviews, opinions and advice.

Hi my Co-Canadians, greeting. I need some guidance urgently. How do I pay application fees for PR? Which is about CAD1500. I hear that the CBN has now restricted online payments to 100 doll per day. Any ideas will be really appreciated.

I will advise you not to even bother. My sibling here wrote with MOD on the 30th May and she had LRWS as 8 6.5 7.5 8 and she broke down emotionally saying she was sure she did well in the Reading and would never re-write but would rather remark. Long story short, she sent in the remark form (for L and R) by Sunday, 2 days after the result that is, and 10days later (on Wednesday this week), they communicated it to her that she should pick up her TRF on Monday, the 29th.

Iyanu a sele sista mi!
eeeh lemme respond to this real quick. I don’t know if it’s the same with IELTS British Council tho, but REMARKING WORKS! It has worked very well for me.

I wrote my first IELTS: 8.5,8.5,7.5,6.5 respectively. 6.5 for writing. For the second exam, I concentrated on the writing and still got 6.5 in writing!!! I knew what I wrote. I was literally devastated. I applied for remarking and my 6.5 was changed to an 8! 1.5 bands were added! My speaking also moved half band from 7-7.5. So I had 8,8,7.5,8 on the second try and that’s what I needed. My 15k was refunded. I didn’t even care! I was more than happy to get my 8.

Yes my case is an exemplification of grace cos me sef no expect to see band 8. But this is how it works. Generally, you can get half or one band when we apply for remarking. This applies to Speaking and Writing only cos the examiner uses your language production to access your level of English Language proficiency. So it allows for a bit of DISCRETION. But when it comes to reading and listening, it’s like OBJ. It’s either you get it right or you don’t. No discretion.

So if you are looking for a half band or one band in WRITING OR SPEAKING, please ask for a remark.

Good day all, please I plan on writing Ielts next month. I would like to know which exam options is preferable that is computer based or the written type.
Also can I use my National ID for means of identification on exam day, I saw some conflicting information somewhere. I would appreciate a kind answer/suggestion.Thank you.

I am not sure about the ID thingy. I used my passport. I guess National ID should be acceptable. They said use government-issued ID. Confirm from your IELTS instructions for test day. You can also contact them to clarify.

On computer/paper based test, your choice. Depends on which one you are more comfortable with. If you are very proficient with the computer, and would rather read on a screen than on hard copy, do the computer based test. Just note that the computer doesn’t auto correct so you still have to check your spellings and all. I do not see any significant advantages one has over the other. Do what suits your person.

Now he want to go through express entry Canada . Will that effect him during ITA.
Thanks all.

No. Having not paid taxes will not affect his application. Being paid in cash will also not be a problem.

Hello everyone, Good evening from Milton, Ontario, Canada. I know it's mid-night in Nigeria, 3.06am to be precise, while it is 10.06pm here.

I'm looking at doing a two hour session: the first one hour will be done in the comfort of my house, while in the second and final part, I will take you round some facilities, virtually, in my area, to wet your apatite and further increase your interest and thus motivate you to put in more effort.

In any case, I may be able to give some insights about Ontario, perhaps that could help other folks looking at other Province. So, that's the deal.

Wow this is nice. Thank you for giving back. Please we are interested. Schedule and send link already let’s update our Calendar.

People that passed IELTS writing please how did you guys do it. I ve used all the materials at my disposal and online. Liz, chris Pell, buddy all to no avail.

My ideas are always poor and difficult to develop. Are there other things I'm missing to get a 7 in writing. I'm stocked in 6.5.

Pls help!

Have you ever asked for a remark? Usually you get half band to one band from the remark.

IOM for quick service as they dont usually have so many applicants booking them because of their cost. it is slightly higher
Q-life has lot of people booking them, so the next available date you get might be in 2 months.

Thanks a lot sir. Then IOM it is.

It depends on whether or not your score is above the cut off. If your score is above the cut off, yayyyyy. You'll get ITA within 24 hours.
If the cutoff is the exact score of the cutoff, then you may not get it because of the tie breaking rule

Exactly my experience. I created my profile early morning on the 8th. I wanted to jump in! Draw came out, 473. I had 473 but didn’t get an ITA.

So hurry and create your profile. You may be lucky!

First of all introduction.

I’ve been a silent follower and this forum has been of very immense benefit to me. I’m pre ITA.

After a second IELTS, I did an EOR because my writing was still low. God gave us the first W of 2020 when my EOR was successful and my writing was increased from 6.5 to 8! Bye bye to IELTS! CRS 473. Waiting patiently for the next draw in 2 hours. Praying for ITA.
