vastolord4: Yeah, about the ball-joint issue. I drove my Honda Accord 2003 for 5 years and never had that issue. But maybe using the car for ride hailing on the side may add additional pressure which might make it fail. Just thinking. 1 Like |

Car Talk / Honda Accord 2008 V. Toyota Camry 2007 by MaziObiagu1: 7:53pm On Mar 09, 2023 |
Hello folks please I need your advice. I am caught between getting either a Honda Accord 2008 (Evil Spirit) and a 2006 Toyota Camry (Big Daddy). I love the Honda. I am biased in favour of the Honda but many have advised against using the Honda for my purpose (without being clear on the reason) so I need your insights. I intend to also use the car for a side business (Uber). I plan to use it for ride hailing at my free time, usually evenings after work. My second option is the 2007 Toyota Camry (Big for Nothing). I am considering this car because of its durability and reliability but I hate the interior. It also has a better resale value and can be sold faster. I intend to sell within 6 months. This is my second choice because it is spacious and has good interior compared to other Toyota cars of the same price point. Both cars are currently selling at the same price, even though the Accord is a far superior car. I know there are related threads (which I’ve read) but there’s a difference in my situation. PS I have driven a 2003 Toyota Corolla and a 2003 Honda Accord before. I will need your honest reviews, opinions and advice. |

Hi my Co-Canadians, greeting. I need some guidance urgently. How do I pay application fees for PR? Which is about CAD1500. I hear that the CBN has now restricted online payments to 100 doll per day. Any ideas will be really appreciated. |

ShoeShineGuy:eeeh lemme respond to this real quick. I don’t know if it’s the same with IELTS British Council tho, but REMARKING WORKS! It has worked very well for me. I wrote my first IELTS: 8.5,8.5,7.5,6.5 respectively. 6.5 for writing. For the second exam, I concentrated on the writing and still got 6.5 in writing!!! I knew what I wrote. I was literally devastated. I applied for remarking and my 6.5 was changed to an 8! 1.5 bands were added! My speaking also moved half band from 7-7.5. So I had 8,8,7.5,8 on the second try and that’s what I needed. My 15k was refunded. I didn’t even care! I was more than happy to get my 8. Yes my case is an exemplification of grace cos me sef no expect to see band 8. But this is how it works. Generally, you can get half or one band when we apply for remarking. This applies to Speaking and Writing only cos the examiner uses your language production to access your level of English Language proficiency. So it allows for a bit of DISCRETION. But when it comes to reading and listening, it’s like OBJ. It’s either you get it right or you don’t. No discretion. So if you are looking for a half band or one band in WRITING OR SPEAKING, please ask for a remark. 1 Like |

punchyy: I am not sure about the ID thingy. I used my passport. I guess National ID should be acceptable. They said use government-issued ID. Confirm from your IELTS instructions for test day. You can also contact them to clarify. On computer/paper based test, your choice. Depends on which one you are more comfortable with. If you are very proficient with the computer, and would rather read on a screen than on hard copy, do the computer based test. Just note that the computer doesn’t auto correct so you still have to check your spellings and all. I do not see any significant advantages one has over the other. Do what suits your person. 1 Like |

First of all introduction. I’ve been a silent follower and this forum has been of very immense benefit to me. I’m pre ITA. After a second IELTS, I did an EOR because my writing was still low. God gave us the first W of 2020 when my EOR was successful and my writing was increased from 6.5 to 8! Bye bye to IELTS! CRS 473. Waiting patiently for the next draw in 2 hours. Praying for ITA. 46 Likes |
