Religion / Praying For People To Die by mcchegzy(m): 1:52am On Jun 21, 2015 |
The difference between the dispensations of the Old and New Testaments is an ongoing challenge for many Christians. You can’t worship God in New Testament dispensation on the principles of the Old Testament. And some coming from animist backgrounds are seeking to process Christianity through animist spirituality. They eulogize God adapting the incantations of animist religion, rather than use the names of God as revealed in scriptures. Even the choruses are adaptations of the songs used to worship gods and cacodemons in their culture. And the prayers follow the same course, though beguilingly predicated on the ethological dispensation of Old Testament. Ritualistic prayers are thus offered. And voodoo practice such as stripping stark naked to pray at midnight is incorporated. In animism such unclothedness evokes potency of curses.Of course the excuse is that one is coming “just as I am” to God. Yet there is not one passage in scriptures where we’re encouraged to strip naked to invoke the power of God. Even in the Old Testament men are discouraged from exposing their unclothedness on God’s altar. (Exodus 20:26). And when defenders of the faith arise to confront these animist adaptations they are branded criticizers. For a religion whose primary character is named Truth, the resistance of some Christians to truth has to be baffling. So hidebound can men be that they insist on clinging to erroneous practices despite the explicit commands of scriptures. We’re commanded to cast down imaginations & every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Cor.10:5). We must “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3). The standard for Christianity is very clear. The word of God is the only standard, not human tradition, not sentiment. We must resist the heathenizing of Christianity. If it’s unsupportable by scriptures it is NOT Christianity. Apostle Paul tells us we cannot go back to the elemental principles of aboriginal spiritism: Galatians 4:8-9 (NLT) “Before you Gentiles (non-Jews) knew God you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist. So now that you know God (or should I say, now that God knows you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?” We must continue to batter the gates of ignorance, assail the high walls of spiritism masquerading as Christianity. These we must continue to do until they bow to the true knowledge of Christ and God’s people renounce idolatrous culture. It is important to understand the difference between the Old and New Testaments, lest we continue to pray amiss. The Old and New Testaments are two very, very different regimes, both in spirit and administration. The spirit of the Old Testament was retributive. It was a regime of an eye for an eye. It was laden with vengefulness. “Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound...” Exodus 21:24-25. “Breach for breach… tooth for tooth: as he hath caused blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him.” Leviticus 24:20. “And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand…” Deuteronomy 19:21. You will find corroboration for this retributivism in the Psalms. David for example prayed this prayer against his enemy in Psalm 109: “May his days be few; may his children be fatherless and his wife a widow! May his children wander and beg... May his creditor seize all he has… Let there be none to extend him kindness… May his posterity be cut off…” Psalm 109:8-12. If you pray such a prayer today it will not be answered by God. If answered it is not by God! Why? Because the spirit of the New Testament is NOT the spirit of the Old Testament. The spirit of the Old Testament is retributory, the spirit of the New testament is gracious and compassionate. If you must curse people after the regime of the Old Testament, note that you’re invoking retribution against yourself: If you choose to live under the terms of the Old Testament you’re bringing a curse upon yourself: “Utterly cursed is every person who fails to carry out EVERY detail written in the Book of the Law” Galatians 3:10 MSG. The Law was designed to show people their sins, it was not designed to save. Galatians 3:19. The “Ten Commandments” was designed to last until the coming of the Child who was promised (Jesus). Galatians 3:19. “Unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given… and His name shall be called… Mighty God… Prince of Peace...” Isaiah 9:6. In Luke 9, Jesus set for Jerusalem sent his disciples ahead to make preparations. The disciples entered a Samaritan village but the Samaritans would not accept or accommodate the Jesus party. The Jews and the Samaritans had a long-standing multi-dimensional feud between them. Dated back thousands of years. When James and John became aware of this rejection they asked, “Lord, do You wish us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, even as Elijah did?” Elijah was a rather contumacious, rather high-handed, and most disrespectful prophet in the Old Testament. He famously commanded fire from heaven to consume successive soldiers sent to arrest him by the King. (2 Kings 1: 9-15). By the time the saga was over, one hundred and two innocent soldiers had been killed by lightning. It was this event James and John were referring to. They wanted to incinerate the Samaritans with lightning. Those who pray for the “spirit of Elijah” don’t know what they’re praying for! It’s not the spirit of the New Testament. The Bible says Jesus “turned and rebuked and SEVERELY censured” those who wanted to rain fire on people.” Jesus said to them, “You do not know of what sort of spirit you are. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” Luke 9:55-56. In other words, a Christian CANNOT pray for the death of his enemies. It is anti the Spirit of Christ. Praying for fire to consume our enemies is the retributive spirit of the Old Testament; it is not the New Testament! If you pray for your enemy to die and he dies, then we must question what spirit was invoked for such devilishness. It CANNOT be the Holy Spirit since Jesus says such prayer requests are anti Spirit of God and New Testament. It’s a spirit of wickedness and retributive vindictiveness. It has nothing to do with the Spirit of God. That it’s supernatural doesn’t mean it’s of God. Satan and demons are supernatural. Teaching us the difference between the Old and New Testaments Jesus uttered the following: “You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy; but I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, TO SHOW THAT YOU ARE THE CHILDREN OF YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN.” Matthew 5:43-45. In other words, the proof we’re Christians is demonstration of love, not invocation of destructive powers. God, Jesus said, “makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall on the upright and the wrongdoers alike. For if you love those who love you, what reward can you have?” Matthew 5:45-46. Praying for people to die is NOT the spirit of Christ. Jesus said so. If you pray and people die, what spirit are you invoking? We know from scriptures, it’s not the Spirit of Christ! Crime / A New Way Scammers Use To Steal People's Gmail Details (phishing attack) by mcchegzy(m): 11:05pm On Jun 08, 2015 |
This is not really new because phishing attack has been around for a while. Am just going to share my experience, hope it helps someone. (Refer to the pictures below) I received a mail from a certain Omonoba Emilia (who I have never heard of) requesting me to confirm some changes in an attached document with no specifics. This raised my red flags but because I wanted to follow through, I downloaded it only for it to be a web page(I already knew what they were up to). On opening the attachment(web page), it opened in the web browser(as expected) and popped up a javascript alert informing me that I have been signed out of my account due to a recent browser upgrade. Clicking OK directed me to an exact replica of Gmail's login page(almost no difference at all). This is where the trick is. If you attempt to login, your login details(username and password) will be sent to these scammers and as you rightly guessed...They would be able to access you account. So guys...watch out for them, if this sounds familiar, kindly report to Google as phishing attack and change your password immediately

Family / My Life On February 23, 2030 by mcchegzy(m): 11:07pm On Mar 11, 2015 |
I just woke up at my optimal REM sleep time calculated by bedroom sensors. My bed reads my brain waves all night and sensors in the room monitor the amount of oxygen that my lungs converted into carbon dioxyde. I go to the bathroom and anything leaving my body is instantly analyzed and uploaded to my personal medical data cloud. My breakfast food has just been 3D printed from ingredients genetically modified to decrease my cholesterol and glucose to optimal levels. My ham and cheese omelette tastes delicious and no animals were killed; it has become forbidden in most countries to kill any live animal. No need to be vegan to avoid killing anymore. I have an appointment with Elon Musk to offer him an investment in my electric plane startup and even though business meetings are mostly done via hologram representations, I still really enjoy in-person meetings. My self-driving Telsa takes me to the nearest hyperloop station where I can get to L.A. in twenty minutes, so it’s not a big deal to travel anymore. It has become really expensive to have your own private car as governments only want self driving cars everywhere — these have reduced deaths from auto accidents by 95%. Private cars might soon be entirely forbidden as they cause too many problems. They’re a very expensive luxury for the time being. There is no traffic anywhere as there are very few cars. There is very little parking space in cities as most cars are self driving. Uber has replaced all drivers with self driving cars, which are pretty much always moving. I remember when we used to have those idle parked cars everywhere. Tens of millions of jobs in the car industry have disappeared, car and truck drivers, car insurance companies, car dealers and repair stations, all gone. You can cross any street without even looking as the self driving cars’ sensors became so good cars just stop automatically as they “see” you about to cross the street. A lot of the data needed to create the machine learning algorithms behind self-driving cars was created by people in once-poor countries through an NGO called Samasource, which closed its doors when extreme poverty was eradicated in the last decade. As I get to Elon’s office, I get my messages projected on the latest version of Google Glass that Tony Fadell has managed to fit in a contact lens. Voice recognition has become so good that nobody types anything anymore — you can just say what you want to answer. Since Tony and I are good friends, he let me test the latest beta version of his mind-reading software update for Glass. Now I just think my reply and it shows up instantly on my retina and I can just think “send it” to get it to anyone I want. Nobody has a smartphone anymore, though I remember what it was like to use my thumbs to send text messages. I look around and remember how we used to see so many ads everywhere — they completely disappeared. Marketing is now only highly personalized and targeted to your specific needs. I touch a door handle and it senses my hands are a little dry; as I opted-in for personalized marketing, I get an offer to try a new hand cream by Laxmi. I accept and it is instantly delivered to me by an Amazon drone. Drones are so small and silent you barely see them anymore. Laxmi has become very successful by distributing most of the profits of their beauty products to people who would otherwise be poor. Most businesses that don’t have a social or environmental mission have died out, as nobody wants to buy their products. There is no more hunger in the world as we can 3D print pretty much any food. Extreme poverty disappeared when governments around the world signed onto the Universal Floor movement, led by the Gates Foundation and funded by the Billionaire’s Pledge that became famous decades ago. I give 5% of my income automatically as a "voluntary tax" to the Universal Floor Foundation, which is one of the most popular charities on earth and posts their results in real time to my Glass feed. We also eradicated illiteracy -- I remember when education became universal and free through technology. In large cities, people still send their kids to school but anywhere else free hologram teachers are always available. I just arrived at Elon’s office and he invites me to space for the afternoon! We take the latest spaceship resulting from the joint venture Richard Branson and Elon Musk launched a few years ago, GalaktiX. I can see the Earth from above for the first time, a planet that thanks to advances in technology is verdant and blue, despite the old threat of global warming. Space travel is amazing and has become much more affordable — a few hours’ trip to space will cost only about one thousand dollars when they launch this new product. I feel a little sick when we come back. I don’t even have to call my virtual doctor as she was already warned by the results of my live body analysis sensors. I am testing this new under-the-skin fitbit nanodevice — it communicates with Google Glass and sends data continuously to my doctor. The prescription is delivered on a drone and I feel better in a few hours. Time to head back home. On my way back, I get a notification that someone is trying to deliver something at my home. The dropcams identify a trusted Fedex person and I only have to think about opening the garage door so they can put the huge delivery inside. It is a 1982 mechanic Haunted House pinball machine my father had gifted me at Christmas — these throwbacks to the analog past mean a lot to me. With all the 3D printing and automation, handmade products have become the most in-demand objects. A huge number of jobs are constantly being created around anything made entirely by humans with raw materials. Artisanal producers are all the rage —there is even a quality label that has become the new status symbol: “Certified All-Human Made”. Art explodes as people have much more free time and can make a good living out of it. I have learned to play the guitar, and use my Glass interface to practice while I ride back up to San Francisco. Back home the first thing I do is meditate for an hour entirely disconnected, a practice I started 15 years ago. Creating space, reconnecting with my body and my mind, slowing down when everything is fast and disconnecting when everything is more connected has become as important for me as taking a shower. Career / How To Pass A Pre-employment Personality Test by mcchegzy(m): 9:15am On Jul 05, 2013 |
1 First, you have to realize that the people making a lot of the major decisions in most companies are way out of touch with reality. Whoever makes the decision to implement personality tests for potential new-hires is enticed by the supposed savings and increase in the overall quality of employees and disregards that these tests are extremely flawed for several reasons. Almost any personality assessment you'll ever take does not apply to the real world in the slightest bit, and we're going to explore why. 2 The first type of question you'll encounter is the "no-brainer." It's meant to establish that the test taker isn't completely brain-dead. A good example of a no-brainer is: I can count to ten. ()True ()False Obviously, you shouldn't get any of these wrong as long as you're paying attention. 3 The next type of question is slightly more tricky, wherein it gives you multiple outcomes which are equally socially acceptable, but tries to establish a "personality type." The best thing to remember is that you're trying to establish that you're an outgoing, friendly person. Here are a couple of questions you'll encounter: I like to be in a large crowd. ()True ()False Although the casual applicant may think that neither of these are undesirable and that there is "no wrong answer," the hidden subtext of the question is trying to establish if you're an introvert or extrovert. You of course want your prospective employer to think you're an extrovert, so answer "true." This type of question may take several forms, so be on the lookout. Here are some more examples of questions like this and the correct answers. I like to be alone. (False) I don't mind being the center of attention. (True) I like going to big events with large crowds. (True) Remember, you have to answer all of these questions in a similar manner to score the highest. 4 The next type of question tries to establish your work habits. Obviously it is in your best interest to answer all of these questions in a way that makes you look like a dedicated, efficient, hard worker. Most of them are easy, but there are a few that can be tricky. Take the following for example: I work my best under pressure. ()True ()False Most people will second-guess this question and think "Well, if I answer 'true', then they'll expect me to work extra hard." Remember, it's just an assessment. The score is interpreted as a raw number. The individual answers have no bearing on your job placement; the only thing that's important is that the answers are right. Therefore, when a question like this arises, always answer favorably. Here are some sample questions and their correct answers: I take frequent breaks while working. (False) I tend to find more to do when I'm done working. (True) I don't need a lot of direct supervision. (True) I work best under direct supervision. (False) This last one is quite tricky, because some people DO work well under direct supervision, and there's nothing wrong with that. But to the writers of the test, this question is asking: If I'm not constantly under supervision, I will slack off. 5 This type of question attempts to establish your aptitude for customer service, leadership, and self-management. These are usually not that deceitful, but there are some to watch out for. Take this question: A customer approaches you who is obviously angry and starts yelling at you. You: ()Yell back. The customer is being abusive and disrespectful and must be put in his place. ()Call your supervisor. ()Smile, calmly apologize to the customer, then ask him what you can do to help the situation. ()Call the police. These answers represent many actions that an average employee will take. The ideal employee will not overreact and call the police or get into a yelling match with the customer, but will also not go whining to the supervisor with every little problem. The correct thing to do is handle the situation the best you can, and only escalate the problem to the supervisor if it's something you can't resolve. On the other hand, you may run into this type of question: A customer walks up to you and asks to speak to a supervisor. In this instance, the correct answer is "get the supervisor." While they want someone who can resolve problems, they also don't want someone who will act like an overconfident jackass and try to step on their toes. Just remember to stay in the frame of mind that you can handle most problems, but if the problem is out of the scope of your job, you're willing to enlist the help of management. 6 This last type of question is the epitome of corporate doublethink. Consider the following question: I know someone who has stolen something. ()True ()False Of course everyone knows someone who has stolen something, be it a friend, a co-worker, or a shady uncle. So, the average test-taker would think, "Of course I do, everyone does, but what does that have to do with me getting a job here and today? Besides, they must think that if I put 'false' I'll be lying." and answer "True." But since these tests are designed by people who are completely out of touch with reality, they assume that a quality candidate will truly not know ANYONE who has stolen anything, or if the candidate does, he or she pretends to not know about it. The real question they're asking here is: I hang out with thieves. ()True ()False These questions are meant to assess how likely an prospective candidate is to cause a loss to the company, either by lying, cheating, or stealing. Here are some questions like this, and the questions they're really asking: It's OK to tell someone a small lie to spare his or her feelings. (I'm a liar.) It's OK to take home supplies you use at work. (I'm a thief.) If a cashier gave me five cents over my correct amount of change and I noticed in the parking lot, I would go back and return the change. (I will cheat the company out of money.) It's maddening when criminals go free. (I don't believe in our justice system, therefore by extension don't believe in company policy if I don't agree with it.) I dislike taking orders. (I have no sense of respect for authority figures.) I've done my share of troublemaking. (I'm a delinquent and shouldn't be hired.) It's easy to see a pattern emerging here. If you see a question like this, always look for the hidden subtext, answer accordingly, and you'll do fine. 7 Sometimes these tests involve a skills assessment that can include simple math or even common sense scenarios. These are almost always presented in a multiple choice format, so that gives you an advantage from the beginning. Remember the few simple rules of multiple-choice testing. For math questions, there are usually three or four egregiously wrong answers and one correct one, so doing approximate calculations in your head will save you time. With verbal questions, the longest and/or most complex answer tends to be the correct one. Take the following for example: A quasar is: ()A type of planet ()A star ()A super-massive, relatively small object located at the farthest reaches of the visible universe that releases more energy than the most powerful active galaxies. ()A cut of meat The above example is an over-exaggeration, but you get the idea. The last rule of multiple-choice testing is if you truly don't know the answer, just guess. You'll usually have a 20%-25% chance of getting it right. Sometimes these tests present you with various degrees of answers, such as Strongly Agree, Somewhat Agree, Neutral, Somewhat Disagree, and Strongly Disagree. Treat these like true/false questions. Only answer with either extreme. SOURCE: http://www.ehow.com/how_4446746_pass-preemployment-personality-test.html 5 Likes 1 Share |
