Super Eagles disappointed me today just like APC!!

Hmmmm... A bad team ran out of luck finally!

Let's face it. Our team is not good. Our players can't hold the ball, initiate game and execute because we can't even do the basics of thinking quickly and passing accurately to your team mate.

Lookman and Moses Simon starved Victor Osihmen of passes that could result in goals and that cost us a lot. They want to use Osihmen's presence and media coverage to sell themselves but the two fools didn't know that they were always revealing themselves as scraps.

Coach didn't even help matter in this game.

Let us go and face our National problems. This will help us remember them very well grin grin

Zaidu Sanusi is holding the team back

It’s obvious he does not want Osihmen to shine just like Moses Simon and some other Super Eagles players who are not feeding him with opportunities like they should. Instead Osihmen had to provide assist that led to our goal in this match.

I pray he gets his chance to shine cos this myopic and wicked mentality of his teammates is just rubbish and na Nigeria go suffer am

There are too many dead-wood in the team... Moses Simon, Ahmed Musa, Uzoho, Joe Aribo just to mention. The rest are bang average players apart from Osimhen and maybe 2 or 3 other players. Aina is hit and miss you don't know what you will get from him, Calvin Bassey is a calamity always waiting to happen. Good thing at least we don't get to watch Uzoho concede elementary school football goals on the pitch.

We too gather poor quality players put for one team abeg

It was our game to lose right from the start and yes! We lost it and embarrassed ourselves as a nation again.

We've got some very foolish players that are playing like headless chickens.

1. Yusuf (small picture thinker)
2. Aina (he is drunk)
3. Moses Simon (the mumu dey chase self glory)
4. Iwobi (I don't know grin)

They are not "football street-wise". We are short of 4 players.

Since the lady is 21, then the mother may have been part of the South African entourage to the 2002 world cup held in Korea/Japan and may have met Ronaldinho who was one of the hottest players on the planet as at that time. Then ladies were falling all over themselves just to get near him grin.

For the lady to be playing soccer today, then the mother must have links to those in South African soccer circles. Hence why I feel this lady was "made in Japan" in 2002 grin grin grin grin.

At the bolded part,...I know it was around that time. At that time, my mother had a little shop where the radio is always on. This was how I became a radio fan.

Those two guys Smart and Bisi were they guys that opened my knowledge and talent on how to develop a great sense of humor. I could make people laff so easily because of their influence on me and I picked those skills from them then. It's something that has helped me greatly in my career as a banker.

Smart made that statement on bread around 1991/1992. I still remember it clearly even today like he said it yesterday Bro. I so listened to radio back then that it landed me in hospital cos doctors were treating me cos my two ears were paining me at some point due to constant listening to radio. I would put my radio under my pillow at it plays till day break.

I knew almost every song back then that was a hit song on radio and could tell you stories about how the song was composed. Artiste name, title, soundtrack to which movie, etc. My friends feared and wonder how deep and rich my knowledge was on music back then in university. Those days were good and fun for me Bro!

I didn't plan to mention all presenters/radio stations, just some that defined certain eras for me.

RN2 in the 1980s, OGBC2 in the early 1990s, Raypower in the mid-1990s, Rhythm in the late 1990s and Cool FM in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

I expected that others would also mention the stations and presenters that defined that period for them and they have done so, but surprisingly nobody has mentioned this man. He was on my mind when I wrote that post years ago, even though I didn't mention his name.

I wrote that Radio Nigeria 3 started in 1989. Well this man was the star of the station and he was incredible. He could host many programmes back to back and in many different languages. I'm referring to Bisi Olatilo

I still remember some of the things that he said on RN3.

I remember when he talked about Iya Modinat on his show. I was shocked.

Iya Modinat was a woman that sold food under a tree in Obalende. I had heard about her, but I didn't believe it until I saw it. Cars used to come from State House Dodan Barracks, from the many state liaison offices on Victoria Island, from the homes of wealthy people across Lagos, just to buy rice from a rude woman that sold food under a tree. You would see NTA newscasters and all kinds of celebrities queuing to buy food from this woman in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I refused to eat her food.

One day there was a commotion in Obalende and I was told that people attacked Iya Modinat and her children because they said that she was using juju in her food.

Bisi Olatilo spoke about her on his radio show (that was when she was still doing brisk business).

I remember the day that he started talking about parts of Lagos. He said that it was one man that started spare parts business in Alaba, now there are spare parts shops everywhere. It was one man that started chemist business in Obalende, now there are chemist shops everywhere in Obalende. He kept talking about places that were known for certain things and how it was started by an individual.

He presented programmes in Pidgin, Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba on RN3 (it was the first community station in Nigeria).

Now we have Wazobia FM, Naija FM, etc.

The combo of Bisi Olatilo and Smart Orotemu was always a delight to listen to because of the jokes and strong grasp of pidgin English. Smart was just a comedian on radio. Together they moved a great portion of radio listeners to RN3.

It was from Smart I heard this joke-proverb “person way shit for bush nor dey remember d place reach person way match shit for bush”. grin

Another OAP was Ijeoma Benlowu. RN2 also had Ndidi Osoka.

Have we forgotten Akin Akindele of RayPower then. The comedian from AJ City that was pouched from RN2. He used to feature in a comedy programme then with the stage name Baba Lamidi at RN2

Also, the OB van concept Raypower popularized then.

I love Kenny Ogungbe's signature tune that start playing at 5pm.... "Swing low, sweet chariot, coming for to carry me home,.....

They say Radio is the theater of the mind . I got to start listening more to the radio while I was in secondary . After we are done with the family radio, I will turn on my battery powered radio and listen all through the night. I was warned several times of the dame the earpiece could do to the ear if I sleep with it, I couldn't listen because of the love I had for radio
@naptu2. You didn't mention shows like Cruise control , Metro Fm, hosted by Frank Edoho afterwhich Kamala took over.. it starts airing by 7 to 9. The music people always request for is so so soothing . Even the show's theme song, Sunset Island by Earl Klugh is one I still listen to many times to ease off.
Metro fm also has Doris Okafor that anchors the show, Rock City. I will like to see what Doris looks likes frankly , she was lovely with what she does .

I think it is Metro Fm that has this program called Straight from the heart .I will so so love to have this show back on air. It is a show where heart touching stori3s are read and backed up with music that pertains to whatever keywords that were being read at that time. It airs at night .

Rhythm fm with Shola Thomson. That guy with the fluid smooth voice.

I then got to like Cool fm. Early 2000s they came with weekly Top 40 . Presenters like Manny, Daddy freeze, Gbemi Olateju,

Night radios are the best! After the days work. You come back home, relax and listen to the radio while it soothens your soul. Even the conversations and talk shows are just top notch. Midnight radios are even better.

Honestly, I am not feeling today's radio as I use to. I couldn't go a day without radio then. Now, I try to listen to my car radio and all I hear aren't interesting or worthy of my attention. Only time these our modern radio stations get interesting are during the Elections.

This is for those who don't know "Earl Klugh". Kindly listen to his great album here "Soda Fountain Shuffle". I so love this album die! I still listen to the whole album on my iPhone.
