Romance / Re: My Boss' Fiancee Is Making Advances At Me by Meeenah(f): 5:52am On Nov 24, 2022
Please have a witness or even a record incase events turnout not in your favour and you have to defend yourself.

Premiumwriter:
that's not your boss's wife making advances at you. It's unemployment that's seducing you.

And probably a few broken bones.

Sha try relate with her well, make sure she understands that you can't sleep with her.

Not telling her directly, but always playfully get out of her reach each time she touches you. Act a little shock, smile and move out of her reach.

Try avoid spending time alone with her if you can.

You can't report her to oga because oga will rather sack you than confront his fiancee.

And don't try to tell her to stop or confront her because she go make that place hot for you.

You can't reject a powerful woman throwing herself at you. Women can't handle such rejections and she will make sure you pay for it.

So the best thing is to play along. Remain friendly. but always draw a line, and make yourself unavailable to her as much as you as you can

Family / Re: My Wife Of Less Than Two Years Says It's Over Between Us by Meeenah(f): 2:54pm On May 26, 2022
She may have Post Delivery Depression.. Some women have after delivery. I think she needs to be checked by a mental proffessional.

InsideLife2022:
I have been an active member on this forum for the past eight years. I just created this account to bring this issue to limelight. Good evening gentlemen and ladies. I got married in late 2020. God being merciful, we are blessed with a baby of 5 months. My wife has been giving me attitudes of recent. I have tried to find out what the problem has been, she is not saying anything tangible. I am being confused and depressed. I have been begging her to come back to join me after delivery. She keeps traumazing me emotionally. She just told me our marriage is over. She couldn't say what the problem is.

She has not been taking care of the baby. She was medically advised to stop breastfeeding our baby permanently. Is not that she breastfeeds our baby. My mother in-law and sisters in-law have been complaining about her lack of motherly treats.

They told me she doesn't even know how to take care of the baby. They cannot allow my child to be in her custody because she can't take care of the baby as a mother. She has fought her mother for asking her to leave her house to join her husband. Every member of her family has been asking her what the problem is. She keeps telling them to come and marry me that it's over between us.

I haven't told any of my family members or my friends of what is going on in my marriage. I am a kind of person that do not like involving a third party in my new marriage of lest than two years.

Her family has never supported her actions. Her mom and her siblings have been asking me to come take my wife and baby. But, my wife is not ready to join me. It has been a serious issues in her family house each time they push her to go meet her husband.

Her family has ask me to come with some soldiers or the police to come carry my baby and leave her since she claims she is no longer interested in any marriage. I have been trying my best to make sure my wife never lacked anything during her pregnancy and even after delivery.

My in-laws have been very supportive and good to me. I know they have never and will not support her for her wrong actions and behaviors. My challenge is, my baby is just 5 months and I don't want to take the baby to my parents because of the questions people around will be asking. I don't want to be seen as someone who is separated from his wife. I hate divorce with passion. My wife does not have any concrete reason why she decides to stay off our marriage.

Her family is fully in support of my next actions of going to take my baby. Now, the question is this; is it advisable to keep the baby with me while I employ a nanny to raise the baby with me?

Please and please I need mature and sensible advise.

Career / Re: What's Affecting My Productivity? My Mindset, My Location, Or My Village People by Meeenah(f): 2:42pm On May 16, 2022
I think you have not gotten over the trauma of losing your dad. He must have been the only one you have an emotional attatchment to, Give yourseif a break and allow yourself to heal. As part of the healing process go visit your mum. I think it will really help you. Stop pushing yourself to hard, Talk to your mum seek couselling. Things will naturally fall into place.

VictorGlory:

Like every other bright mind with positive energy and knacks for success. I stepped confidently into the new year 2022 with the right portion of optimism and motivation.

One would wonder if one Village Priest had prepared a prosperity charm for me; cause my energy was mind-blowing. I was so confident about winning in every facet of my life.

Although I sustained some gun wounds of failures that 2021 inflicted on me - lost Dad to the greedy fangs of death, got served breakfast by my girlfriend - because she wanted to serve God, got rejected by so many companies for internships, and had to separate myself from 90% of my family member and siblings cause most of them are friendly enemies, got depressed, betrayed, reject. etc. Yet I could still boldly say to myself that healing would find me in 2022 and greatness would comfort me.

Oops! Maybe a weird description is when you think this young boy has too many track records of misfortune and failures in his life. But I guess some of the best success stories are told with tons of tragic experiences in them. And I've left my life with the best scriptwriter to write the best out of me.

Fast forward to the new year, my jaw got broken by the heavy first of failure. I got into internet Marketing and my results were nothing to write about. I made some good cash though, but I couldn't hit my target.

Also, I wrote a promising book that I've been struggling to find a publisher who is willing to publish it for free and run a good publishing investment deal with me.

This time around, the thunderstorm of failure sent me running like a thief who is scared of jungle justice. I was broken beyond repair because those were my biggest plans for 2022 as regards financial stability and independence.

I was sent into a coma mentally and I knew I needed a break, to fix myself, move on and get back on my feet. That has always been how I respond to previous failures. Fortunately and pathetically, ASUU changed the game and their strike was like a blessing in disguise to me.

I would have loved to go to Lagos to spend the "never-ending ASUU holiday" but Lagos was longer home for me. Ever since I lost Dad and he was buried, I have seen no tangible reason why I should visit home again.

I couldn't stand seeing Dad's grave every day, I'll just collapse and die a coward's death. Also, I don't wanna stay with my stepmom. I've had enough of stepmom's stories growing up as a young boy. Trust me, it's a hell experience.

My mum's place could have been another good option, she lives in a 2 bedroom apartment on the mainland. But I don't think I can cope with an environment where electricity is foreign to them because most of my activities require stable electricity to power my phone and laptop especially, and that she can't supply.

Living in my half-brother's place in Lagos whom we share the same mother could have been another perfect option, I've lived with him a couple of times and I'm very productive each time I stay with him.

I get to complete every task on my to-do list that brings development in every area of my life each day, and eventually actualize both my long-term and short-term goals. Their electricity is stable couple with free Wi-fi. His place put me on my toes to work and do the needful.

But the issue is just that some part of me feels like I don't belong there. We don't get along as brothers, he's 10 years older than I am, and I dare not disrespect him but the kind of relationship we have is like that of a boss and an apprentice.

His wife and I are very cool friends, but he and I don't just get along like brothers should do. Maybe because we were not raised together (my both parents are polygamous). But I want a close friend, mentor, and confidant out of him. Not a never smiling, rigid brother and boss. I've tried talking to him severally but there are no positive changes from him.

My other half-siblings from my father's side are no-go areas. They are all friendly enemies who are jealous of every bit of my success, especially in my academics. Because they all blew up the opportunities to go to higher institutions. They have so much hatred for me because I'm the last child of the family and I used to be Dad's favourite.

So I decided to go live with my Dad's friend in Ogun state and that was when life drew its nightmares upon me. Dad's friend is a very good man, his family members are good people as well. They welcomed me like their child, I would rate them better than some of my family members.

Ogun state pose to be like paradise to me, there was stable electricity, inverter, and generator. That's 24/7 light, the environment was conducive and I was confident that I would heal fast and achieve a lot here.

I feel my productive energy coming back and I was enthused again. I drafted some core goals that I need to achieve their in Ogun state like taking a Data Analysis Course, Joining the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Raising my school fees, going back fully to Internet Marketing, Completing My Final year research Project, Finding an investor and publisher for my book, etc.

A few weeks into my stay in Ogun state, I began to lose interest in almost everything, I became indifferent to achieving my goals, and I became extremely lazy - giving meaningless excuses and procrastinating till eternity.

I wasn't lazy with house chores, I did that perfectly. But when it comes to doing little things that will develop me and prepare a better future for me, I wasn't motivated to do any. I sat myself down severally and talked senses into my head but, it seems I wasn't gonna yield.

I knelt, begged myself, and cried a lot because I knew it was my life and I need to take responsibility for it. I told myself that even if I wasn't making money, I should engage in things that would develop me. Yet, I didn't change. It's two mouth now in Ogun state, and I've not been productive at all.

Now all I do is waste my precious time with the TV, playing games or on social media, eating like a foodie, sleeping like a bull, and chatting with some friends (distractions). This kind of lifestyle has become a daily routine for me.

This isn't me, this is not the way I used to be. I used to be a very intelligent, hardworking, serious, and dedicated goal-getter who used to be very serious with his life and is determined to fetch a bright future for himself. I've heard people talk about comfort zone but I never experienced one not until now.

Each day, my mind will always tell me that I'll bounce back to whom I used to be, but if school resumes without me achieving my goals here in Ogun state. l'll feel like a total failure. I know I need to act fast, cause time isn't waiting for me.

I am considering leaving Ogun state, to go and stay in my brother's place in Lagos, at least I can be confident of productivity there. but I don't want to leave a negative mindset in Dad's friend's mind about my sudden leaving. He might feel I don't like his place and I can't keep wasting my time here doing nothing.

Although I'm tempted to think this is a spiritual attack, I wanna go back to Lagos to see if I'd be productive there.

Please, good people of Nairaland, advise me on what to do. And please recommend tactics and strategy that can save me from this situation even if it means reading a life changing book.

Travel / Re: Nigerian Airlines To Shut Down All Operations On Monday Over Fuel Costs by Meeenah(f): 5:52am On May 07, 2022
subsidywise18:
Basically, the cost of making aviation fuel has risen drastically, and we are no longer subsidizing the thing, at least not in ten years.

Now, if we had made refining profitable in Nigeria by completely removing subsides on petrol , at least as late as even 2015, we would have had some domestic production of aviation fuel, but the cost would still be high.

So government is left with these options

1.Import and subsidize aviation fuel for the airlines..meaning we spend billions more on subsides.

2. Allow the airlines to drastically raise fares to cover cost of jet fuel.

Thanks be to Putin for this wonderful gift.

WHY CAN'T THEY REFINE THEIR OWN FUEL. Aviation fuel that you know is very important for your business, they should have been producing it locally by themselves since.
Travel / Re: Nigerian Airlines To Shut Down All Operations On Monday Over Fuel Costs by Meeenah(f): 5:30am On May 07, 2022
Why have they never thought of coming together and seek government support to build their own refinery and produce aviation fuel locally. Why cant we be producing aviation fuel in Nigeria.

It is better you first look for a NEPA station close to the place first and discuss with them about supply . They may be able to be of help. With the current price of diesel, NEPA supply may be cheaper. U can also look into solar for light loads so as to reduce your fuel consumption.
To me it is better you sight your business where you are guanteed at least 12hrs constant supply.

Thank you topsy
I have been waiting for your reply.
It's in epe.
Those IPP
Are they in specific places or they can generate power for you wherever you want
Pls not this is not a big factory
Just a small setup
Where my plan is 200kva generator max
Getting 22hrs power supply in epe will be wonderful
The highest so far is 18hrs
In some places .

No where is safe in Nigeria my bros. Like I advised my friend who is a lecturer in one of the Northern Universities, continue to stay in the North while investing in the east. Have an emergency backup plan in case for security reasons you have to leave sudden. You can also buid a house in the east or even Lagos so that you at least have where to stay incase you have to relocte suddenly.

I also have a situation that I will need everybody's contribution. I am igbo and I reside in the North but due to the rising security situation in the county I want to relocate preferably anywhere in the east but the east is not that safe also. Even if I relocate what will I be doing, ideas:-
1- Build a guest house maybe later Hotel
2- Become a distributor of Nigerian Brewery (Beer)
3- Build self con. Houses and relax
4- Continue my building materials business
5- Continue staying in the North and investing something in the East

As far as I am concerned your prolactin level are just elevated , certainly not too high. If you are ovulating regularly you have nothing much to worry about. Its not everytime one has textbook case hormonal profile. But if you are still worried, you can try maca or ewedu therapy.

Its always better to do things on at a time. Sometimes some of these herbs interfere with the workings of the drugs, and since you have no idea the compounds in the herbs, its better to finish your medication before starting herbal treatments.

Even in such countries they still have a level of local support. Local support is not neccessarily the government. In iraq it was the shia against the sunnis likewise in afganistan.
Even if they have eye in space without a form of collabo with the ground, their operation will be difficult. Its not everything that happens that is in the news bros.
shegzhkn:

M sorry but if you have knowledge of American force you might appreciate.

You think US Forces who have seen action in say Iraq and Afghanistan can't speak local language e.g pashto.

Nigeria is surrounded by US and France(US Strong ally) milliary bases and especially a drone base is in Niger(constructed in 2017).

They have eye in the sky my friend, you know what different scenarios might be in play here but collaborating with two near failed jungle that involves their top tier SOF is totally impossible.

Are they familiar with the Niger/Nigerian terrain and also understand the local Language. I dont know why people like putting down their own country. Mind you no foreign country can perform any operation in another country without any form of local support. Even for intelligence gathering you stiill need the locals for information.
shegzhkn:

it can never be the combine effort of Niger and Nigeria, lai lai - if it france & Germany now i might be oblique to believe but that is what US media will tell you.

My bet will be the combine effort of CIA, NSA(signal intelligence), NGA(geospatial intelligence) and the Seal team that carried out the operation will be the CIA Special activity division(CIA Military Arm) because if they are actually in Nigeria for the mission and since the US is not at war with Nigeria then the CIA as a civilian organization is responsible.

Thank you jare. They forgot to read that part of the story. Without the help of the Nigerian and Nigerien forces, the operations would have been more difficult. The US may have the technology and intelligence, they are not too familiar with the terrain. They may also have language barrier. Instead of us to encourage our own so that they can do better, we look for every little opportunity to run them down and we still expect them to perform well. Its sad.

To me there is nothing really wromg with your result. Its only that the fsh/lh ration is slightly elevated. As long as you are ovulating and your period is regular, there is no cause for alarm. But if you like to optimizing your chances and aid ovulation you can take some chinese fertlity teas.

No cause for alarm madam, you can still get pregnant with just one tube. It only reduces your chances to about 50 to 60 %. You can work with your gynea on how best to optimize your chances. It is well with you ma`am.

Give yourself like three months for your body to recover before you can start trying, believe me it is necessary. Usually its six to 1 year that doctors recommend but sometimes due to age, the time may be shorten. Please do not start taking any chinese teas or serrapetase until after two months or at least after six weeks so as to be sure the wund has completely healed. Serrapetase though prevents scar formation, its also by the same mechanism does not allow the wound to heal quickly. You can after at least six weeks start taking raspberry tea instead, it helps strenghten the uterus. You husband can continue his medication while you heal so as to optimize the sperm. And at the right time , it will happen, no need to worry.
Tripletwins222:
Good day fruitful people!

Pls, I need your candid advice.
I will be 5th week post myomectomy by tomorrow and my first period appeared today. I've been taking Serrapeptase for one week plus now but decided to give break until after my period. I intend to add chinese teas from two months post surgery. I was diagnosed of bilateral tubal blockages and multiple fibroids before going for the surgery. Though, I took different types of herbs to unblock the tubes but have not gone back for another HSG. My doctor instructed me to start trying after 3months. He prescribed clomid, vitamin b6 and omega H3 for me and prescribed proviron, vitamin e and omega H3 for my hubby. My hubby has been taking manix, oligocare, vit c, vit e, zinc and ubiquinol for few months now though he has not retested.
Please, I urgently need answers to these questions troubling my mind:
(1) What are the steps I'm going to take to help myself?
(2)When should I start taking prenatals to boost my chance?
(3)Should I consider taking pregnacare
conception this time?
(4) I have dhea, ubiquinol and royal jelly supplements, should I add them too to my regimen?
(5) Is clomid safe to take as soon as I want to start trying? Just scared of its negative effects.
(6) Is there any need to detox with herbs or fruits as this is my first period after myomectomy?

So sorry for my lengthy post.
Just curious sad sad
Thank you all.

Take heart ma`am. TTC journey is not easy, the key word is to never lose hope. You can continue with the sereapetase. Do fertility massage with ijaw woman, believe me it works for some people. You can then go back to flushing. I believe with God all things are possible. Meanwhile work to improve your hubby sperm health while you are still on treatment. You never can tell anything can happen. It is well withyou my sister.

I'm broken because I've taken serrapaptase for 3 months and even one cup each of Chinese teas and flushed. I also did castor massage. Yet tube is still blocked. Take heart my sister. The Lord will surely do it again for you very soon. Take you time to heal after you can do a review inorder to identify what must have gone wrong. You can then start again. The keyword is never to lose hope. May God make it easy.

quote author=GodwilldoitAmen post=94598639]Hi everyone,
I have come to rant.
I am not actually new here,

Today again,I saw af as it's been for the past 5 months after a miscarriage at 21 weeks..

A baby that I lost at birth because she was too small to survive

Today makes it exactly 5 months,it was on a Sunday like this, started with cramps a day before, and before the day ended,I lost a baby I had been looking for for the past 3 years...

It's been hell and I almost died primarily because I know what it took me before I got pregnant, and God did it, miraculously only a month after I did HsG,I conceived naturally ,my dreams of becoming a mother came alive,it was as if I was dreaming,a month went by,by the time I was two months,I was already showing, people rejoiced with me.. and then at 5 months, the devil struck...my joy was cut short..
My baby girl died, at almost 22 weeks, plus, she didn't even see me,could have been saved by a cervical cerclage the Doctors said..

Here I am again, five months later, period not even regular again, ranging from 24-32 days interval

Can't even live again,I try as much as possible but 5 months later, still the same .......

Started trying immediately but here we are....

Would have put to bed by now.EDD September....

God,this is too much pains ......I do not deserve to go through all this....

It is well

How can I get maca??

Thanks a lot.
Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Meeenah(f): 10:23pm On Sep 16, 2020
Its boils down to hormonal imbalance which has to be treated. Men also have the same hormone that women have, its only that the female reproductive hormone are much lower in men. The male hormone is the testerone which is lower in female. If testerone levels are higher in women than normal it could affect fertility. Likewise in males, if the level of femine hormones are higher in men than normal, it can also cause problems. Maca , vit E and C is good for men
Teey2019:

Thanks for your response.
She's going to refer us, I just need a second opinion. Sticking with one gynea was why it took so long getting to the root of the matter in the first place. Thank God we decided to go for a second opinion.

I just wanted to know if per chance we have any papas here who has gone through treatment of high prolactin (it was my first time ever hearing that men can have high prolactin) and low testosterone, apparently it messes with sperm count, motility and morphology.
Thanks once again.

Its better you seek medical advice first. You can start with your gynea he can then refer you to other specialist. Why not try LASUTH. Maca is good for hormone balancing.

First you need to see a gyneacologist for treatment. You can hormonal profile before then to check your prolactin level. Some here have recommended ewedu therapy, you can search the previous threads for more info.

LASUTH gynea department is Ayinke House. It was donated to lagos state government and it is newly renovated. You go there early and register and they give you appoitment just like any other hospital in lagos. There are lots of gynea there and its quite ok. But remember this is a Lagos public hospital you have to be patient if you want good result. You can pm me if you need other info.

If you want sharp sharp, you may have to tip the record attendant to give you favourable appointment date.

Why not come down to Lagos. Look for a general hospital in lagos close to sango. I think general hospital ijaye has some gyneacologist. Better stiil you can go to Ayinke House in LASUTH Lagos.

quote author=Charlotte911 post=92796590]Hi everyone, please I need little help , have been using general hospital ota in sango for like two years, but I keep going on and on, but the doctors there don't give attention to someone and am getting tired already, going for gynae days without anything to show for it, who can recommend a good hospital
around sango ota with a gynaecologist , because I noticed most private hospitals there don't have gynaecologist, kindly recommend an affordable one, and I want to ask about the nhis thing too , how can I register for it on my own, without waiting for my colleague at my place of work. Thanks [/quote]
