Let's rub minds.

Do you think Jon Snow as the warden of the North would behead a deserter from the Nightswatch?
Let's assume that the night King is not coming anytime soon.

If yes. Why?
If no. What are your reasons?

If the NK wasn't coming anytime soon, Jon would behead the deserter once the judgement is passed.
Remember Ned taught him that he that passes the judgement should swing the sword.

Also he passed the treason judgement on Olly and Co (those guys that killed him) and he killed them.....bearing in mind he had seen NK in Hardhome.
Its complicated.

Which everywhere scatter? Focus on the particular person that said it.

I get most of your point actually but the thing is that you are viewing the show from African man perspective while I'm looking at it from the western female perspectives. In the world we live in African men believe what it means to be important is to think of how to provide and protect women and children (which is what Jon is all about) while women want to be the Queens. To you as long as Jon got to do the dirty job he is worthy of emulation the round table talk isn't important. Have you ever imagined why you will never see women protesting /fighting for equal rights in mining, construction, field work in the military, blue collar work in power sector etc but are always fighting for equal pay?
This is the same ideology that is being pushed about. The only important male should think of how to protect women from male rapist (which was while Jamie was spared) the others should only think of protecting women and children and not care about power (which is what Jon is all about)

See you, see white man perspective. Biko mechie onu.

People that created, initiated and support the positive, negative and horrible sides of feminism are busy celebrating their triumph in Game of Thrones so far.

Moving forward: wink

All those discussing feminism (for, against, unnoticed) should please carry your smartness an total intelligence to Quora. Professional critics hav discussed that topic for years.

Then for those that wanna go mad search '#gameofthrones feminism' on twitter.

I promise you, if you spend time engaging there, you'll not come disturb us here with your half, broken record assertions.

(Some over there even said that Tormund invented feminism)...sweet madness. Please go meet them there.

Please it's okay bikonu.

Fact is the feminist agenda talk would never end but it's a bit tiring. But yet no rebuttals to Blockdock90 's assertion.

Moving forward: Please as Jamie said Cersei wasn't telling lies about her pregnancy, does it mean the witch she met in Season 5 or so was wrong? (The witch said she'll have 3 kids, Gold would be their crowns and gold would be....).

Could GOT play with or forget such details?
Or has she double fooled Jamie?

From the thread I see people asking "what if Jon was a lady and Dany was a man".

Quick one: Let's look at the Greyjoys... Euron fought and is still fighting for the leadership of the Iron born. He actually wanted to eliminate Theon and Yara so they don't clamour for any claim to the throne.

To make it simple: Royalty is passed downwards and not sideways.

Don't forget to Enjoy the show.

Blockdock90:

The extreme leftist feminist propaganda has two aims:
1. Making women powerful, while simultaneously making men weaker and overly subordinate to them
2. Portraying men as nothing but corrupt, rapist, misogynist and tyrannical.
GOT has been successfully in pushing this 2 agendas and I argued in my earlier post that it's becoming more obvious in the recent seasons.

Like you made mention of, all powerful male characters like Jeffrey, Ramsey, Little finger, Robert, The Khals etc have been portrayed as rapist, tyrannical, mysoginist or irredeemably corrupt. This is the aim of the propaganda; To portray men as violent, extremely dominant brutes with no moral compass. Hardly is any powerful male character portrayed as someone with good virtues. Ned and Rob fit this mould but both were killed off early. You also made mention of the fact that women couldn't be knights and that women were regarded as property. This fits perfectly in line with the aims of extreme leftist feminist propaganda: To excessively highlight these sorts of issues present the world as a place that's anti-women.

In the extreme leftist feminist view, the world is an anti-female terrain controlled by powerful mysogynist men who regard women as their property. This is the view that was portrayed in the early seasons. Now what we are getting is what the extreme feminists regard as a solution to this world, that's why you have women given so much power at the expense of men. That's why women are portrayed as bad ass, strong and smart while men are portrayed as subordinate to women. The writers of GOT even take this agenda a step further by emasculating any male that is to have good virtues either by cutting off their balls, like Varys, Grey worm and Theon, making them disabled like Jaime and Bran, making them HALF-Men like Tyrion or making them fat and physically weak like Sam. Like I said before, Jon is the only powerful character who possess good virtues but he is always demeaned for his height, not being man enough, his heritage or the fact that he knows nothing.

If anyone thinks I'm just ranting crap then you really need to open your eyes and see. Movies & TV shows aren't just for entertainment purposes. They are also used as tools to shape the mass consciousness of the public & to push large scale agendas.
This doesn't mean I don't enjoy GOT, of course I do, and I think it's one of the best shows ever made in terms of it's production quality, but all this doesn't prevent me from being able to identify conspicuous themes when I happen to spot them.

Well said. We noticed it a long time ago. A lot do not discuss it because they just want to enjoy the show.

Let's do small roll call of the remaining men grin :

Jorah - Love whipped, family heritage gone. cry
Theon - No pericarp, family position forfeited. cry
Jamie - Unmarried, disabled, intercourse with sister. cry
Tormund - Crass, ruffian, Uncultured, not much honour. cry
Tyrion - Half man, suddenly unsmart, big family name gone. cry
Davos - Honourable, bit coward, natural subordinate. undecided
Jon - Has every good man thing, bent the knee, not bothered by any throne. cool
Varys - No balls therefore inferiority complex. cry
Sam - Smart, physically weak. cry
Greyworm - Very good honorable man, no pericarp. cry

All of them are subordinates yet they've seen more wars and had way more experience.
Almost perfect men like Tywin, Ned, Rob, Oberyn...long gone.

Funny thing is the story is still wonderful...show is still the best ever.

After everything i take solace in the fact that this deep movement/feminist propaganda has no effect yet in my own real world. (I still stop and park on the road to help a lady change her tyre....never ever seen one jack her car up).
By the time the radical leftist feminism starts manifesting in my everyday life, i hope my watch must have ended.

Enjoy the show..that's primary.

LeSulk:

Movies/series adjust their themes to be socially and politically correct.

If you re-watch an early 2000s movie, you'll see them mocking homosexuals. It will be suicide for any movie to try it now.

Even earlier than that, movies used to have white supremacist themes. But now, if you cast a white guy in a role suited for an Asian , your movie will be poorly received e.g Dragonball Evolution, Noah's Ark and The Last Airbender.

Early GoT seasons were criticised for gratuitous nudity and marginalization of women. If you notice, both have been toned down as the seasons went by. No critic actually cares that both themes were very common in Medieval Times (which GoT is loosely based on).

Like one poster rightly said all feminine characters of Power (bar Sansa IMO) were slowly built up to where they are today.

But the showrunners now want to ruin the plausibility of the show by making some hitherto clever characters act like buffoons and vice versa so they can be politically correct. JK Rowling made that mistake by whipping out from nowhere, the fact that Dumbledore was gay. She's still recovering from that backlash.

What I'm saying is: it's good to see the feminine characters stand up get counted but the male characters shouldn't suffer for it.

Well said. The most important is the acceptance and political correctness of movie makers these days especially gays, feminists.

They are vaguely made to seem like it's winning or totally in vogue. And guess what, you can never beat them.

It's now even in some cartoons. Some characters exhibit outright homosexuality.

These groups are so powerful. I watched their effect from like season 6 when the fan service became obvious. Also, D & D are very young guys so little pressure...they bend the knee to please. They aren't your old school Tarantino, Guy Ritchie etc who don't send.

Importantly, I want to fully enjoy the series as I am now. No need searching for messages cos if you search, you must find. Enjoy it.

To digress a bit, that Arya courageous deflowering, One cannot imagine the effect it has on virgins worldwide. hehehe

Dear antispam bot, pls let me be.. Banned me five times within an hour.. wtf!!! Who else is experiencing this?

Anyways I absolutely loved that Jenny song rendition by Podrick. Had to download it on YouTube. It was beautiful.... and blended perfectly with the mood. The partial darkness in the chamber, the luminance of burning flames scattered across the room, the sudden dead silence, the melancholy on thier faces, the brief moment of self-reflection as his voice echoed in the background. Perfecto!!!

As beautiful as the song was, it made something turn inside of my stomach. Bad feeling. Very bad one.

It's a song on one hand but the moment you close your ears and start to listen from the soul it begins to sound like a prophecy. That song is beautiful & eerie at the same time. A radioactive mixture of light & darkness. The type that can make your grandmother appear from nowhere like booooom!!!

Who is Jenny? Is Jenny a pseudonym?

As if the lyrics wasn't deep enough, the camera kept panning to different characters as the song progressed. Each line describing the moment on screen - including this one - "Took away her sorrows & pain" as they showed a half-naked Arya - a reference to how Gendry's D1ck has taken away her sorrows and pain.

Then this last line , "She never wanted to leave" , coincided just as Danyerys appeared on screen and started walking to Jon.

Well well well...

Maybe there's nothing to the song though & I just need to tone down on the weed like some of you have advised.

Podrick actually sang with his real voice.
He has a wonderful voice as the directors said.

This episode eh...leave am....Incredible! One of the best.

You have all watched ep2, so no need to be mindful

Jamie didn't die like I predicted grin

Dany is doing it all for love kiss

The scene at the hall was epic and a good farewell to the characters that will die

Arya and gendry scene was not needed

Sansa is a fool, she thinks that the north can be on its own, what's she fighting for? The north chose Jon and Jon chose Dany

What is Sansa angle, her people will call her wise, to me it's dumb, Jon doesn't want to rule, what is she fighting for

The most important part of this episode is the battle plan scene

According to bran, who suddenly appeared inside, the night king is after him, this is confusing, how come it's now the night king chose to act, was he waiting for a dragon, how did he know that a dragon will come and help him take down the wall

Bran is talking nonsense, the night king, wants to wipe out humanity cause that is what the children of the forest made him for

Bran can't be all human memory, the citadel is there

I don't buy that Biko

Also, remember craster, he was giving the night king his boys, a theory says that the night king, wants those sacrifices to continue

Cause if u check, it's after craster was killed that he started advancing towards humans

So many loopholes that needs answers

Oga reddit has come again o. What Sam deciphered inside that room is just plain truth and simply realistic and Bran didn't object.
You over reason things that you skip basic things.
