Crownxballer:
Please, I need some clarification. I applied to Teesside for Biomedical Science (1 year) and I'm yet to get my offer. I now saw Food Science and technology (2years with advanced practice which is 7,500 per year) and I would love to change to it.

1.What is the advantage of choosing a 2year course over a 1 year course?

2.Do I need to show POF (Living expenses +Balance of tuition) for 2 years or 1 year?

3. Will I pay IHS for 2 years or 1 year?

Please, I would appreciate answers to these so as to take my decision. Thank you.

If you are comfortable with the Course offered, I would encourage you to go for it.

Q1. It will ease your financial burden as you would be paying half your tuition fee for the first year. The balance of your fees after the £4,000 deposit can be paid up to 7 instalments and you are not obliged to make any payments on enrollment.

Amother benefit is that you would have the privilege of spending one semester in either:

1. Vocational Internship - Spending one semester working full-time in industry. This Would allows you gaining valuable experience which will enhance your CV and make you more attractive to international employers and also enables you apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting

2. Research Internship : You develop your research and academic skills by undertaking a research internship within the University.

3. Study Abroad : Participate in an academic exchange with one of their partner universities and experience study, student life and culture in a different environmentm.  (look out for Canada or USA.. lol)

When you undertake 2 years course, all standard breaks applies. Meaning you can work 24 hours a day during standard break to earn more income. This is unlike 1 year course that are titled to just the winter break and spring break.

Q2. POF for Tuision fee and Maintenance is for 9 months.

Q3. IHS is payment is for 2.5 years.

I hope this helps..
