AMADI you've lost it! In Yoruba land, we don't insult elders. We look for diplomatic ways to engage them. As the matter now stands, you're the one lacking wisdom. The achievement Gowon is proud of was his ability to keep Nigeria one, and not the number of people who died in the war. If you're wise, you will tender your unreserved apology to the respected Statesman. |

These are repairs we cannot see what they are doing. All the money you may be embezzling in the name of repairs will not befit you. Resurface this bridge in its entirety and give motorists some relief. The condition of the bridge now despite all the money sunk into it is dismal. Driving through this bridge reveals my damaged and failed sections such that you do not have a smooth ride. Yet these bunch of criminals do not see a need to provide a smooth ride for motorists. |

I suspect this newspaper report is sponsored by El-Rufai or those sympathetic to him. This is a cleverly slanted report to campaign for his return as a minister. The report is written in such a way that you can hardly detect that this is an image laundering effort by El-Rufai. Enough of the likes of El-Rufai in public office. If Tinubu makes the mistake of dinning with him, El-Rufai will eventually stab him in the back. It's just a matter of time. |

Right now am supporting Tinubu. But once El-Rufai is nominated as his vice presidential candidate, I will immediately become OBIdient. In fact, I'll rather be articulated than vote for anything that has to do with El-Rufai. |

Stupidity! Nigerian Army has no right to question the prelate. That is the duty of the police. Your duty is defending the country against foreign aggression. Now it's time for your cover-up after being exposed. 1 Like |

This is the best candidate so far to declare for presidency. The only untainted man. He is corruption free, forthright and consistent. He has the ability to get the job done having been a successful lawyer, a successful businessman and a successful pastor. His primary slogan over the years has been "You can win by righteousness." He has lived up to that reputation in his private and public life. He is one of the few pastors in Nigeria who has NEVER meddled with church funds. He remain clean in and out. We welcome you wholeheartedly to clean up our nation. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nigeria not well and you went and sat down 'katakpa' in Northern Governors meeting. That is after the number of your people these guys have killed. Why did you not just send a representative, imagining you don't want to boycott it. That would have sent a strong message. On your watch they started issue useless statements to the Southern Governors. Later you will claim you belong to those who want a progressive Nigeria. This is why I think your subjugation and that of your people is just beginning. Re-examine your strategy. Your courage is not complete yet. |

This guy is as stupid and ignorant as the worst illetrate in the world. It just shows he is a product of corruption and influence peddling. This guy does not know anything about business or the economy. Is this not the son of Musiliu Obanikoro, that vacuous former Minister during Jonathan's Administration? Am not surprised. Close all domiciliary accounts for one year? Then you want to totally collapse the economy. Which investor will take Nigeria serious? Which country in the international community will talk to us thereafter? And who told him I can't go to any country and open a domiciliary account? All countries in the world want you to bring your money to them. Guy, you should have just kept quite instead of exposing your ignorance and illiteracy. And this guy is in the House of Reps? No wonder, Nigeria is not making progress. 3 Likes |

Baba Ahmed, English you cannot speak, economy you cannot run or regulate, banditry, kidnapping, raping and wanton killing you promote. Why then do you think the south will support another northern president? Your boast is empty, because when push comes to shove and the Niger deltans resume their radicalism, the oil that makes you want to hang on to power, will no longer be available. If the north is so smart, then support restructuring. It's because you are aware the north cannot stand on its own that you cling so desperately to the breast of the south and keep sucking it. Watch it, by 2023 you will be weaned off that beast. 3 Likes |

presidency: Does that make up for all the people Buhari and his bunch of criminals have killed and are still killing? Does it make up for all the blood Buhari has sucked and is still sucking? Buhari is evil beyond redemption. 1 Like |

fergie0o1: General Benjamin Sawyerr, shut your trap!! Shame on the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian security agencies. You could go to the house of armless Sunday Igboho in the middle of the night to kill innocent citizens in commando style, but you cannot protect your own officers against bandits. The bandits know you are 'yeye' people, that's why they had the courage to come to where your officers are housed. Listen to the trash you are saying: "it’s not for cadets to be carrying weapons up and down." Even if it's not for cadets to be carrying weapons, you don't know that every military formation and dwelling place should be highly protected and fortified? They killed two of your officers and kidnapped another two, or is it four, and you cannot bury your head in shame. You have the temerity to come to the media and start talking like jelly beans. If you cannot protect yourselves, how then can you protect the citizens and the country. On the other hand, you are experts in bullying and oppressing defenseless civilians. 4 Likes |

COFFINSELLER: Igboho is not a criminal, but an agitator for fairness and justice. Kyari has been accused of a serious crime. It is only fair that he answers to those charges. So where is the comparison? A man that you went to his house in the dead of the night and started shooting indiscriminately and killing innocent people there and thereafter you plant ammunitions in his house and you claim he is planning to fight the State, is not a criminal. You did not send him a letter of invitation to answer any charges, you just made a desperate attempt to kills him and he escaped. That man is not a criminal. It is you who went to his house in the dead of the night without a search warrant or invitation to him to answer any charges, that is a criminal. The DSS are criminals. Their Commander-in -Chief is a criminal. The unfortunate thing is that these ones are abusing their position of power to perpetrate crime with impunity. The day of reckoning will slowly but surely come. So FFK, back off. You're only seeking attention, cheap popularity and approval. Stop selling your conscience for a pot of porridge. 1 Like |

nairavsdollars: Oga Adefuye, you made a few good points, but what are you saying about Buhari's anger? So if some Nigerians provoke him, he will use guns bought with tax payers money, or any gun for that matter and kill them. That's what he has been doing and what we are saying is that such behaviour is African barbarism. It is animalistic and has no place in a modern society. A real leader is not controlled by his crude emotions, but by good judgement and tolerance. The problem with people like you is that in your desperate attempt to curry favour, you say all kinds of things from your mouth, not minding the implications for our society. |

Agboriotejoye: Malami, so what you're saying now is that your reasoning and arguments are superior to that of the justices of the Supreme Court. You have the audacity to constitute yourself into a final decision making body. Why then don't you just join the bench? You belong to the Executive. The judiciary, which in a system of separation of powers have the function to pronounce on such matters, have spoken. But you want to be the Executive/Judiciary both rolled in one. In what civilized jurisdiction is that ever done? Many of your reasonings and arguments betray your cosmetic knowledge of the law. Am sorry to say that after listening to you a couple of times, I have come to the irrevocable conclusion that you lack the capacity to reason like a legal mind. How can you compare the chairmanship of a political party to the Governors Forum.? If the governors have a forum, is it a carpenter that will be their chairman? I also heard the other day you compared the ban on open grazing by southern governors to the possible ban of selling vehicle spare parts in the north. I advise you to lie low for a while in order not to continue to expose your shallow thinking. Keyamo has told you the truth and the reasonable course of action in view of the Supreme Court judgment. If you like ignore him. But when the problem starts for your party, you cannot claim nobody told you. |

No, on a serious note, imagine Nigeria brings a case against Igboho and Judge in Benin Republic rules that: "sorry we can't hand him over because he was wrongly accused." Mehn! that is disgrace for Nigeria. Big brother status lost, and that may be it for life. 2 Likes |

The best thing for the Buhari government to do is to hands off this case and let go of it. Otherwise it might be exposing itself to ridicule; a type of ridicule it may never get over. You know when people think you're a man of substance and you by your actions now show clearly you're only a "yeye" man. At that point people stop according you any regard or respect. This might be what is waiting for Buhari and his henchmen at the end of this case if they don't wash their hands off "jejely" at this stage. |

Benin Republic should stand strong and not bulge. Nigeria has no right to decide their economic status. If they stand up to Nigeria now and damn the consequences, sadly they would conquer Nigeria forever. Nigeria will thereafter start respecting that country. It's like standing up to a bully who thereafter always want to court your friendship. As the situation stands today, Nigeria does not even respect Benin. If they cave in now, the disrespect will continue. If they stand strong and refuse repatriation, subsequent Nigerian governments will respect them. Buhari has less than two years to quit office. 2 Likes |

DoggoneDogg: This is old, worn out strategy of Nigerian leaders and successive Nigerian governments. This strategy has been deployed since the days of Ibrahim Babangida. As a matter of fact he invented it, and subsequent governments thought: "this is a good Idea." What is the strategy? When issues of this nature are being discussed in the public space, government looks for a hurriedly put together group of broke and jobless youths, pay them some good money from public treasury and start remote controlling them. They will address press conferences, release statements with the aim of distorting the facts and confusing the public, especially the international community. Buhari and his henchmen should look for another strategy. This is archaic and worn out. I still remember the Association for Better Nigeria (ABN) led by Nzeribe in the 90s. It was sponsored by Babangida. At last the truth came out, and Babangida had to leave office. The rest they say is history. Nigerians can no longer be deceived. We are more intelligent than you think. |

People like you deceived Sunday Igboho with your sweet tongue. Your type did the same for Abiola. Sunday is in problem due to your push and he know himself. An empty barell fighting a government with juju!. The more days he is detained, the more his so called metaphysical power diminished. Have you taken a single step for his release other than sitting in your room and typing rubbish that put Sunday in more trouble?. This war has to be fought on all fronts. When you're dealing with a very vicious enemy as in this case, you don't spare any effort. Field, foot and pen soldiers must be on ground. The good thing is that am not a paid pen soldier like you who have sold your conscience to the devil. Don't worry about his release, there are people in charge of that. |

authority2006: Buhari's mistakes are too numerous to mention. I'll touch on just two: blind nepotism, condoning criminality from his kinsmen. The moment you condone criminality, you lose the respect of right thinking members of society. But of course, this government does not care about all that, because they can't even see beyond their noses; that all these will certainly backfire someday. |

dre11: Stupid journalism, stupid writeup. From your writeup it is clear you are not even half as intelligent as the Sunday Igboho. For you to say or allow someone to say in your writeup that Ignoho is coming down as long as this government is in power, shows how deluded you are. In case you don't know it, Buhari and his henchmen are a laughing stock of the world right now. Never in the history of humanity has such a stupid leader emerged in the political scene. The truth is that this government is about to be confined into the dark dungeons of history. They ridicule themselves and allow Nigeria to be dragged on the floor before Republic of Benin, and this government can still not bury its head in shame? How low will these people get before their time is up? Igboho will be free, he will make his journey to Germany and probably remain there until these shameless murders leave power. |
