i completely agree kids should do more active stuff and i wish i could let me kids do more personally but its not possible at the moment i have 3 kids aged 3, 2 and 2 months old i live in a fflat my kids cant go outside without being supervised and having a newborn, tv is a god send to be honest seeing as i choose appropriate educating programmes im guessing its not too bad as their learning while im busy trying to keep up with housework and the newborn baby and my wifly duties around the house, i always make sure they go to the park or play out for 1 - 2 solid hours if the weather is apropriate but we have a sheltered area they can play out too on bikes so they are not becoming couch potatoes, if i lived in a house with a garden truth be told the back door will always be open and they would be out all day for as long as they want to be there as they love being outside , so sometimes you just have to make best of what you got and be happy that you are trying very hard to give them everything they need physically emotionally and mentally cos it aint easy being indoors with 3 kids that have the energy of a leopard, im new in the are and from another part of the country so i dont have my family and friends here to help and go to have a change of scenary so its just me my husband and 3 kids all day and all night long (my husband works so its basically me thats with them all day all night)

I DONT REALLY PUT CARTOON NETWORK ON FOR MY KIDS AS I HATE THE TOYS ADVERT THAT ALWAS COME ON ITS SOO ANNOYING WHEN EVERY ADVERT THAT COMES ON ABOUT A TOY URE KIDS ARE SHOUTING MUMMY I WANT THAT MUMMY I WANT THAT ONE , I ALWAYS PUT ON DISNEY FOR MY KIDS AS THE PROGRAMMES ON THERE ARE AGE APPROPRIATE FOR MY KIDS THEY ARE SOO EDUCATIONAL MY ELDEST DAUGHTER THAT HAS JUST TURNED 3 SHE CAN COUNT TO 20 SHE KNOWS ALL HER COLOURS SHE CAN ANSWER EVERY QUESTION THAT MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE ASKS AND SHES LEARNT SOO MANY NURSERY RHYMES AND PROBLEM SOLVING HONESTLY ITS GREAT THEY LOVE IT THEIR HAVING FUN WHILE LEARNING TOO AND MOST OF ALL NO ANNOYING TOY ADVERTS !! MY SECOND CHILD HAS JUST TURNED TWO AND SHE ALSO HAS LEARN TO COUNT TO 5 AND CAN SING ALL THE NURSERY SONGS AND SHE ALSO ANSWERS ALL THE PROBLEM SOLVING QUESTIONS AND MUCH MUCH MORE MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE IS ONE OF THE MANY DISNEY PROGRAMMES I CAN HIGHLY RECCOMEND

SEASONING TO TASTE

MIX 1KG OF BEANS FLOUR WITH ALL YOUR SEASONING AND CRAYFISH BLENDED TOMATOES AND CHILIES AND THEN ADD ENOUGH WATER TO MAKE IT THE RIGHT CONSISTANCY NOT TOO THIN AND NOT TOO THICK THEN ADD IN SLICED BOILED EGGS AND ADD MASHED UP CORNED BEEF AND DICED SMOKED FISH FILLET MIX IT ALL TOGETHER SO ITS ALL COMBINED THOROUGHLY AND PLACE YOUR MIXTURE INTO FOIL TAKEAWAY TUBS ONLY HALF FULL AS IT WILL SLIGHTLY RISE, I STARTED TO BOIL THE MOYIN MOI IN A LARGE POT WITH SHALLOW WATER ONLY UP TO THE FIRST LEVEL OF MOYIN MOI BUT I FOUND IT WASNT COOKING WELL THIS WAY SO I GOT A DEEP ROASTING TIN OF ABOUT 4 INCHESPLACED AS MANY FOIL TUBS AS I COULD JUST 1 LAYER AND THEN FILLED THE ROASTING TIN WITH WATER MAKING SURE FOR IT NOT TO SPILL OVER THE FOIL TUBS MAYBE JUST 3/4 THE WAY UP THE TIN FOIL AND PUT THEM IN THE OVEN (THIS METHOD IS CALLED A BAIN MARIE) THEY COOKED VERY WELL AND WERE DELICIOUS, FROM NOW ON I WILL BE COOKING IN A BAIN MARIE LESS FUSS AND COOKED PERFECT, I HAVE AN INDUSTRIAL GRADE OVEN WHICH GETS EXTREMELY HOT THEY COOKED FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINS EACH BATCH YOU WILL NEED TO COOK YOUR OWN AT THE CORRECT TIME LENGTH ACCORDING TO THE HEAT OF YOUR OVEN

PUFF PUFF,

i made puff puff yesterday and turned out very well in the end was a bit hard trying to get the right oil temp to cook the puff puff all the way through and not for it to burn fast but here is the recipe i made ,

1 cup of self raising flour
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon of dried yeast melted in small hot water
salt to taste
1 pint of water
oil to fry

mix the flour sugar water yeast vanilla nutmeg salt all together into a runny sticky dough but not too runny, leave it to rise in a warm place for an hour and get your oil temp right cook one at a time to make sure its not burning too fast and cooking all the way through, i used a small pot enough to cook 4 puff puff at a time in then cooked them on each side until very golden brown and wala ready

i found them nicer to eat when cool but they were nice few minutes after being cooked also they all finished within a few hours anyway my husband and cousin finished them in no time !!

a WHOLE load of people is gonna disagree with this but im not keen on nkwobi the sauce is too much for me, im not giving up on it tho someday ill love it just as much as the ones that do like it, embarassed

THIS IS HOW I MAKE MY OWN JOLLOFF RICE,

4 CANS TOMATOES
4-5 CHILIES
3 ONIONS
6 CUPS OF WHITE EASY COOK LONG GRAIN RICE
OIL FOR FRYING
2-3 RED PEPER BELLS
STOCK FROM PREVIOSULY COOKED MEAT OR 1 PINT OF MAGGI CUBES AND HOT WATER
SEASONING TO TASTE

BLEND THE TOMATOES AND PEPPER BELLS AND CHILIES TILL SMOOTH, ADD OIL TO A LARGE POT AND WAIT TILL ITS VERY HOT THEN ADD YOUR CHOPPED ONIONS WITH SOME THYME AND PUT THE LID BACK ON AND FRY FRO APROX 3-5 MINS (YOU DONT WANT THE ONIONS TO BROWN AS THEY WILL BE HORRIBLE TO EAT IN URE JOLLOF RICE U WANT THEM VERY SOFT) THEN YOU ADD YOUR TOMATO BLEND AND FRY FOR ABOUT 15 MINS UNTIL ALL WATER HAS LEFT AND IT HAS TURNED INTO TOMATO PUREE , WHILE THIS IS FRYING PUT YOUR RICE TO HALF COOK IN ANOTHER POT THEN RINSE ALL STARCH AWAY WITH COLD WATER ONCE HALF COOKED (DONT OVER COOK RICE OR ULL GET MUSHY RICE AT THE END, ONCE IT HAS HALF COOKED WASH IT THEN PUT BACK INTO A LARGE POT WITH ALL WATER DRAINED AWAY THEN ADD AS MUCH TOMATO PUREE YOU JUST FRIED TO THE RICE ( I USUALLY MAKE ENOUGH TOMATO PUREE FOR THE JOLLOF RICE AND SOME LEFT TO ADD TO BREAKFAST MEALS) SO ADD ABOUT 2 PINTS OF PUREE APPROX JUST ENOUGH TO TURN YOUR UNCOOKED RICE ORANGE/RED IT WILL GET DARKER AS YOU COOK MORE THEN ADD YOUR STOCK FROM PREVIOUS COOKED MEAT OR A PINT OF MADE UP STOCK WATER AND MIX THEN COOK FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR UNTIL THE TOMATOE HAS INFUSED IN THE RICE AND YOU CAN TATSE THE RICE TO SEE IF IT HAS COOKED, I WAS PERSONALLY TOLD YOU SHOULDNT MIX THE JOLLOF RICE WHILE ITS COOKING UNTIL 5 MINUTED BEFORE THE END BUT I ALWAYS MIX MINE BUT ONLY 15MINS INTO COOKING THE RICE AND PUREE MIX AND THEN A COUPLE OF TIMES AT THE END

I ALWAYS GOT JOLLOF RICE WRONG AS I COULDNT GRASP HOW MUCH INGREDIENTS TO ADD AND SEASONING TO TASTE BUT THE MORE YOU COOK IT THE MORE YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY KNOW HOW MUCH OF EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND IT WILL BE THE EASIEST THING TO MAKE EVENTUALLY YOU JUST NEED PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE INGREDIENTS SO THATS WHY ALL MY MEASURES HERE ARE GUESSWORK AS I DONT MEASURE AND WEIGH I JUST AUTOMATICALLY ADD IT AS I GO ALONG

BUTTER THE BREAD AND PUFF PUFF AND LAYER THEM IN A DEEP ROASTING TIN ABOUT 4INCHES+ IN HEIGHT BUTTER SIDE UP , YOUR WELCOME TO ADD RAISINS, SULTANAS AND OR FRUIT IN BETWEEN THE LAYERS OF BREAD AND PUFF PUFF (NO CRUSTS ON THE BREAD THO U NEED TO CUT THEM OFF) YOU CAN SPRINKLE A LITTLE CINNAMON INBETWEEN EACH LAYER (MINIMAL SPRINKLING) BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO USE IT AT ALL IF YOU DONT WANT
THEN YOU HEAT MILK AND CREAM ON A COOKER ON A LOW HEAT DONT BOIL, TAKE OFF THE HEAT, MIX EGGS, WHISK THEN ADD 3/4 OF THE SUGAR AND WHISK UNTIL SUGAR IS MELTED IN A SEPERATE BOWL UNTIL MIXTURE HAS TURNED WHITISH AS TO THE YELLOWISH COLOUR YOU STARTED WITH THEN ADD THIS MIX TO THE PAN OF MILK AND WHISK THRORUGHLY THEN POUR OVER THE BREAD AND PUFF PUFF UNTIL IT COVERS THE LAST/TOP LAYER OF PUFF PUFF AND BREADTHEN LIGHTLY SPRINKLE NUTMEG ONTOP OR YOU CAN SPRINKLE A LITTLE ICING SUGAR AFTER IT HAS COOKED IN THE OVEN FOR ABOUT 30 MINS,
SERVE WITH PAP/CUSTARD

OR YOU CAN EAT STALE PUFF PUFF WITH PAP/CUSTARD ALONE FOR BREAKFAST MMM KIDS WOULD LOVETHIS

I LOVE COFFEE AND TEA BUT, RECENTLY I READ THAT COFFEE STOPS ALL THE CELLULITE FROM BREAKING DOWN SO IF YOU DRINK COFFEE AND YOUR TRYING TO DIET IT ISNT GOING TO DO MUCH TO THE FAT CELLS IN YOUR BODY, POINTLESS IN DIETING REALLY sad I MISS COFFEE TOO AT BREAKFAST TIMES SO I DRINK TEA NOW WHICH I ALSO LOVE BUT THAT TOO CONTAINS A SMALL AMOUNT OF CAFFEINE , THE BEST TEA YOU CAN DRINK IS ANY HERBAL TEA THE MOST BENEFICIAL ONE IS GREEN TEA IT HAS NO CAFFEINE IN WHAT SO EVER AND IT IS MEDICINAL AND MOST OF ALL PROMOTES WEIGHT LOSS WHEN TAKEN ALONG WITH A BALANCED DIET I USED TO DRINK ALOT OF GREEN TEA ONE TIME BUT I STOPPED BUT I THINK I SHOULD START AGAIN AS ONCE YOU GET USED TO THE TASTE ITS NOT TOO BAD TIP IS NOT TO ADD REFINED SUGAR (GRANULATED) AS THAT IS VERY BAD FOR YOU BUT TO USE NATURAL SWEETNER IN MODERATION OF COURSE I.E. 2 PACKS OF SPAGHETTI

SWEETCORN AND MIXED VEG
CHILIES ACCORDING TO TASTE (I USUALLY USE 4-5 SCOTCH BONNET CHILIES)
SEASONING ACCORDING TO TASTE AND PREFERANCE
2-3 CANS OF TOMATOES
RED PEPPER ACCORDING TO YOUR TASTE AND PREFERANCE
2 ONIONS
STOCK (MAYBE FROM PREVIOUSLY COOKED MEAT OR YOU CAN MAKE UP ABOUT A PINT OF STOCK WITH HOT WATER AND STOCK/MAGGI CUBES)

METHOD,
BLEND CHILIES AND PEPPER AND TOMATOES INTO A FINE BLEND FRY CHOPPED ONIONE IN HOT OIL WITH SOME SPICES AND ADD TOMATO CHILI BLEND TO HOT OIL AND FRY TO REMOVE ALL WATER FROM THE TOMATOES AND IT TURNS INTO TOMATO PUREE ( NI PERSONALLY DONT REMOVE ALLLL WATER JUST MOST OF IT ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES OF FRYING IS ALL I DO)
HALF COOK THE SPAGHETTI IN WATER AND RINSE OFF ALL THE STARCH IN COLD WATER DONT WANT STICKY FOOD!!
PLACE THE WASHED SPAGHETTI IN A LARGE POT, ADD MASHED UP CORNED BEEF SO IT BLENDS VERY NICELY WITH ALL THE SPAGHETTI AND ADD THE FRIED TOMATOES ALL OF YOUR VEGETABLE (ESPECIALLY IF THEIR FROZEN YOU GOT TO ADD THEM NOW BUT IF THEIR FRESH OR UNFROZEN THEN U CAN ADD THEM HALF WAY AS THEY WILL BE OVERCOOKED) ADD ALL OF YOUR SPICES AND SEASONING TO TASTE YOU CAN ADD MORE AS YOU GO ALONG AND THEN ADD STOCK AND COVER AND COOK TILL IT HAS ALL TURNED INTO DELICIOUS HOT SPAGHETTI (ABOUT 20 MINUTES)

ITS THE SAME METHOD AS COOKING JOLLOF RICE BUT WITH A TWIST ALL THE CORNED BEEF HAS INFUSED WITH THE SPAGHETTI IT REALLY IS DELICIOUS AND CHEAP TO MAKE TOO,
