Programming / Re: Stop Advising People To Start Learning Programming With HTML And CSS by mentro: 7:08pm On Jun 17, 2022

Your submission is wrong. Programming isn't MMM. I assume the 70% are part of the majority that want to start making money asap but realize that they need to study their way up. Programming requires dedication and perseverance. My baby codder who started the journey last year November has been working 2 jobs since April. If you cannot learn continuously, then programming is not for you.
Another hindrance could be mentorship. It is very easy for anyone without a mentor to failout of programming. Hence I always advise people to look for a mentor when starting the journey. This could be a free or paid mentorship. But it worth it.
Wow, two jobs? How did the person get two jobs very fast? Applying or connections?

Oh you don't need mathematics. Normally discrete mathematics is taken before dsa for computer science but doing that is a waste of time. Your secondary school or university foundation if you were a stem student is okay.
Unfortunately I am not a Stem student, and I really hated maths growing up because of the kind of school I attended, but my brain can definitely carry the basics for DSA, so I will like to know the foundational topics I need to study.

The last one I did was a combination of easy and very hard. The easy question was dynamic programming while the very hard one could be solved recursively but the recursive solution with memoization will lead to o(n) log time which I did the company mailed me back asking for a log(n) solution which will have to be solved mathematically using the binets method. It took me two days to come up with a working solution. Its a fibonacci series question with a twist to it.
Tensa, which area of mathematics do I need to know to understand DSA? P.S I no sabi anything for mathematics.

Average IQ people start to understand the patterns after around 200 questions. It can go to 500 sha. Some high IQ people only need like 50 questions and they are good to go. How hard depends on your intellectual level. You should know. University grades, secondary school grades, ability to understand something fast.
Thanks boss

Do you know what leetcode is?
I've been reading about it since tenza started talking about it. There are over 1600 questions on leetcode, so that's why I'm asking how far 200 questions can go?

This doesn't matter now. If you are looking for something to get ahead in tech. Go and buy leetcode premium and solve everything. That's the best advice I can give you. Not everything but at least 200 questions there.
How far can knowing 200 questions on leetcode help someone?

How do you get these jobs?? Meanwhile I'm preparing for AWS, how can I position for entry level jobs??

I hope so because the way the country is going now, there will be massive outrage from the citizens soon, and Karl Marx theory will win.

I think the comparison was more from a "which one should I do to quickly get a remote job"

Comparing AWS with Salesforce is like comparing a space rocket with a bicycle
Lol. Please which is the space rocket?
Programming / Re: Can You Please Recommend A Digital Skill For Me? by mentro: 2:30am On Sep 17, 2021
tensazangetsu20:

That's base admin. There's marketing cloud for marketing automation. Cpq for cost and price quotations. There's omnicloud and much more. It's insane. Basic admin only covers sales and service cloud and still in so much demand it's so crazy.

A certified marketing cloud admin or pardot specialist can make as much as 30k annually while living in Nigeria.
What do you think about AWS cloud computing??
Programming / Re: Can You Please Recommend A Digital Skill For Me? by mentro: 9:54pm On Sep 15, 2021
airsaylongcome:
What is your current background? A lot of people will probably ask you to dive into Development, but there is ample opportunity in System Administration (I prefer Linux but there's a lot of demand for Microsoft Windows too). Also Cloud administration is one for the future. If going Cloud, the primary preferences is AWS then Azure. GCP comes a distant third. If you want to go the cloud route I would recommend AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate as a start. U want to go Sys Admin route I would recommend Redhat's RHSCA

Of course you can still go into Development if that is your preference. There are openings in Digital Marketing but I find that a lot of Nigerians may not quite make the cut due to cultural differences. I might be wrong on that
Boss can I send am dm? Funny enough I'm into digital marketing and about to take the AWS cloud solutions architect certification.
