Celebrities / One Thing My Cousin Did With His Record Label That I Won't Do - B-red by micheal34(m): 3:56pm On Mar 31 |
Nigerian singer and rapper B-Red most popularly known for being a part of the record label HKN has branched out and started his own record label named Rednation Records. During the press conference announcing the label and its artistes, BRed opened up about why he feels competent enough now to start his own label, what happened with HKN, and what he'll be doing that his cousin didn't do with his label. Here's what B-Red said. Speaking about why he's competent enough now to start his own label, B-Red said: B-RED: Me being in the industry for so long, I've learned and followed the greats. I used to live with Wizkid, I've lived in Mo'Hits house for two years straight. I learned from the best. I learned how D'Banj and the Mo'Hits crew were doing their own thing. I learned how my cousin Davido, even if he's my younger cousin, I learned how he did his own thing with HKN music and also in DMW. Speaking about what happened with his deal with HKN, B-Red said: B-RED: HKN is still there. If you can see my Instagram, my Instagram name is still BRedHKN and the CEO of HKN is Chairman HKN. So this is how it all started: it all started with Chairman HKN which is Davido's older brother, me, my brothers Sina Rambo, Danagog, and DK, Shizzi too the producer. Me and Shizzi met in Mo'Hits house long time ago and I told Shizzi don't worry, I will take you to my cousin Davido. So that's how me and Shizzi met. So I won't say HKN is dissolved but I was signed to HKN for 6, 7 years and so my cousin got married so I thought okay, let me just give him a break. Because he has tried, y'understand. Let me give him a break and then we'll come back and link up together. Speaking on artiste deals and what he'll be doing that his cousin didn't, B-Red said: B-RED: Some artistes just like to rush and sign contract without reading. So I made sure they went through their contracts very well, and I gave them a very good deal. 60-40. Most people don't do that. My cousin Davido, he never collected money from his artistes, never, and all his artistes became successful. He never did. But me, I wanted to do that at first, then I said wo, make I make my money oh! [laughs] Hahaha, me sef I no fit do wetin Davido do. Abeg, make your money B-Red đ What do you think of what B-Red said? And also what do you think of him now having his own label? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment either below https://loudgist.com.ng/one-thing-my-cousin-did-with-his-record-label-that-i-wont-do-b-red/

As Nigerians continue to lament the rising cost of living and hunger, former President Muhammadu Buhari says he is happy with President Bola Tinubuâs performance. The former president, in a statement by Stanley Nkwocha, the spokesperson for Vice-President Kashim Shettima, who visited Buhari in Daura, Katsina, on Friday, was quoted to have said:- âI am very pleased that they are able to stabilize the situation and continue to really get concerned about Nigerians. I am very happy about their performanceâ. Buhariâs commendation of the current administration comes as protests have continued across Nigeria over the high cost of living and food prices. In the face of Nigeriaâs economic downtown, celebrities like Fuji musicians Wasiu âKwam-1â Ayinde and Olaiya Igwe, who campaigned for Tinubu, have raised the alarm over the rising cost of food in the country. Some of you might say that your phone is just a device, and you can always get a new one but⌠â What if you lose all your contacts, photos, messages, and apps? â What if you have important information stored on your phone that you canât access anymore? â What if you lose touch with your friends and family who live far away? On the other hand, some of you might say that your relationship is more important than your phone, and you would never trade it for anything but⌠â What if you lose the spark, the trust, the communication, and the intimacy with your partner? â What if you grow apart or worse, she cheated on you? Mohbad was a talented and beloved rapper who passed away tragically last week. His fans and friends organized a memorial event to honor his life and legacy. I arrived at the venue around 4 p.m., and I was amazed by the crowd of people who came to pay their respects. There were banners, posters, candles, and flowers everywhere. The atmosphere was solemn but also hopeful. Everyone was wearing white, which is a symbol of peace and light. Watch the video below:- https://loudgist.com/live-at-mohbads-candlelight-procession-and-tribute-in-gwagwalada-video/ The event started with a prayer led by a pastor, who asked God to comfort Mohbadâs family and fans. Then, some of his close fans took turns to speak about him. They shared stories of how he inspired them, how he made them laugh, and how he supported them. They also played some of his songs, which made everyone sing along and dance. The highlight of the event was the candlelight procession. We all walked around the neighborhood, chanting âMohbad lives onâ and âRest in peaceâ. It was a beautiful sight to see hundreds of lights shining in the dark. It felt like Mohbad was watching over us from heaven. Iâm glad I attended this event. It was a touching and memorable way to celebrate Mohbadâs life. He was a great artist and a great person. Politics / 5 Things You Didn't Know About Late Rapper Mohbad by micheal34(m): 2:21pm On Sep 13, 2023 |
Yesterday, on the 12th of September, 2023, it was confirmed that Nigerian musician Mohbad had passed away at the very young age of just 27. It was news that shocked and devastated the nation. But even though a lot of people were shocked at the sheer sadness of the story, there are a number of people who are still not very familiar with the singer or the life he lived. Today, just to shed a little more light on the life of the singer, here are 5 things you didn't about the late singer Mohbad. 1. Quick Bio Mohbad's real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba. He was born in Lagos State on the 8th of June, 1996 and his father was reportedly a pastor. His journey in the professional music industry dates all the way back to 2016 when he gained media attention after performing a version of Kizz Daniel's "Fvck You" song. He then got signed to Naira Marley's record label in 2020 and went on to release songs such as "Ko Por Ke", "Oja", "Koma Jesun", and more. 2. He Had a Tumultuous Relationship With Naira Marley and Marlian Records Mohbad's relationship with Marlian Records and his exit thereafter was well documented to be very tumultuous. In fact, in 2022, he left Marlian Records and accused Naira Marley of ordering people to beat him up, and also alleged that he hadn't received any royalties for three years. After his departure from Marlian Records, he went on to start his own record label called Imolenization. 3. He Had a Successful Musical Career During his lifetime, Mohbad released two bodies of work, Light and Blessed. He was listed among Audiomackâs Top 21 Afrobeat Artists of 2021. He was in the TurnTable charts Top 50 in 2021 and Top 100 in 2022. He was nominated multiple times for Headies awards, and had his music streamed millions of times. 4. It Wasn't All Rosy for Mohbad... The singer did in fact get arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in February of 2022 for the possession of illegal substances like MDMA and Cannabis. He had also once attempted suicide according to his friend, Bella Shmurda. 5. ...But He Was Well Loved and Very Loving Mohbad and his dad While the scandals, and the things that didn't go right in his life are the things often highlighted in the media, Mohbad was actually a good friend to his friends, loved in his neighborhood and by his colleagues, and did so many acts of love to indicate this. He gave his friend Bella Shmurda N2 million on his birthday earlier this year. Just last month, he went back to Ikorodu where he grew up with gifts and was given a hero's welcome because of how much he was loved. While Mohbad's life was not without its own share of drama, the young man lived a life doing what he loved, and touching those around him. It is so sad that he left this world so young but the mark that he has left and the hearts that he has touched will forever be remembered. Rest in peace Mohbad. https://voicesuit.com/5-things-you-didnt-know-about-late-rapper-mohbad/ |
Sports / Paul Pogba And 10 Other Footballers Who Have Been Banned For Doping by micheal34(m): 4:20pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
Paul Pogba's doping isn't the first of its kind in football as a number of footballers (past and present) have also been slapped with bans for doping. Paul Pogba has returned to the headlines again over disturbing reports concerning his performance on the pitch. On Monday this week, it was reported that the 30-year-old midfielder failed a drug test. Italian media reports that the France international tested positive for testosterone following Juventusâ 2-0 win against Udinese in Serie A on August 20. Pogba was included in the team but did not play a minute of the match as he was benched for 90 minutes. The discovery of testosterone traces in his blood during a doping test has also since triggered widespread reaction on social media. The former Manchester United star has also been suspended by Juventus and is now set to be judged by the national anti-doping tribunal and face a punishment of two years. If found guilty, it might extend to four years, depending on the intentionality of the offense. However, this would not be the first time footballers have been banned for breaking anti-doping regulations. In this article, Pulse Sports will reveal 10 other footballers who have been banned for doping in the sport. 10. Jake Livermore The 33-year-old Watford midfielder tested positive for cocaine in May 2015, while he was still at Hull City. Livermore was subsequently suspended from football for the remainder of the Premier League season, pending further investigation. In August that same year, Hull manager Steve Bruce revealed that Livermore had taken the substance to cope with the grief caused by the death of his newborn child shortly after the FA Cup final. The following month, a disciplinary hearing decided that the Football Association provisional ban would not be extended, as a result, his suspension by Hull City was also lifted. 9. Stan Lazaridis Stan Lazaridis is a 51-year-old former Australian international who played for Perth Glory, West Ham United and Birmingham City as a winger. In 2007, Lazaridis was slapped with a 12-month suspension from football after testing positive for the prescription alopecia medication anti-androgen Finasteride. The substance was banned at the time and even though Lazaridis made it clear that it had been used in good faith, without knowledge of it being illegal and that it wasnât a performance-enhancing drug, his suspension went ahead anyway. At the time of the suspension, Lazaridis was playing for Perth Glory in his homeland when the ban was applied. Given that he was 34-years-old at the time, he opted to retire from the sport instead of waiting for his suspension period to end to return to the game. 8. Chris Armstrong Chris Armstrong was the first ever Premier League player to fail a drug test and he received a ban as a result. Armstrong was a 23-year-old Crystal Palace player when he tested positive for cannabis in March 1995. However, after attending a brief rehabilitation programme, he returned to the pitch in less than a month. That very same year, following Crystal Palaceâs relegation to the old First Division, he signed for Tottenham Hotspur for ÂŁ4.5 million, making him the clubâs record signing and the most expensive player to ever leave Crystal Palace at the time. Armstrong is currently retired from the game at age 52, having scored over 47 goals for Spurs in 141 appearances. 7. Abel Xavier During his days as a professional footballer, Abel Xavier was famously known for his crazy hairstyles and beard. However, the 50-year-old former right-back had his own share of the negative light due to his 18-month ban for taking anabolic steroids. The former Portugal international was playing for English side Middlesbrough at the time and, following a UEFA Cup tie in 2005, tested positive for the banned substance dianabol. As a result, Xavier became the first player in the Premier League to be banned for a non-recreational drug. Xavier is also known to have travelled far and wide during his time as a a footballer having played for clubs like Benfica, Bari, Real Oviedo, PSV Eindhoven, Everton, Liverpool, Galatasary, Hannover 96, Roma and Los Angeles Galaxy. 6. Deco Interestingly, Decoâs doping ban came after he had retired, but he still chose to appeal it. The former Portugal, Porto, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder spent his final playing days at Fluminense in Brazil and retired in August 2013, just before his 36th birthday. However, in March that same year, Deco had reportedly tested positive for traces of furosemide â a diuretic that can be used to mask traces of other substances. But he kept playing until four days prior to his retirement, with the ban officially being implemented after that. Although, Deco insisted that the positive test was the result of a contaminated vitamin supplement and pleaded his innocence, hoping to overturn the ruling in spite of the fact that he had already stopped playing and the ban essentially wouldnât have even happened. Deco, who is one of the few players to have won the UEFA Champions League with two clubs, with Porto in 2004 and Barcelona in 2006 now currently serves as sporting director for the latter. 5. Kolo Toure In May 2011, During his Manchester City stint, the FA imposed a six-month ban on KokĂ´ Toure after he tested positive for a banned substance during a drug test. The 42-year-old former Ivorian footballer who also played for Arsenal and Liverpool, subsequently admitted to taking his wife's diet pills. The Guardian reports that the commission that investigated him was content with his explanation. The commission chairman, Christopher Quilan QC, ruled that the former Ivory Coast defender "did not intend to enhance sporting performance or to mask the use of a performance enhancing substance". But he was still handed a six-month ban, backdated to March, as punishment for testing positive for a banned substance. 4. Adrian Mutu Adrian Mutu joined Chelsea amid huge excitement from the Blues fanbase in 2003 and scored 10 goals in his first 27 games. However, after his first full season at the club, he got embroiled in multiple controversies. Mutu had a number of fall-outs with then Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and had his contract terminated after a failed drug test. Mutu tested positive for cocaine and there was no going back from that as he was subsequently handed a seven-month ban. Mutu got his career back on track during his stints with Juventus and Fiorentina. However, he failed another drug test in 2010 and was caught for doping. This time, he was slapped with a nine-month ban and his contract was then ripped up by the Serie A giants. 3. Edgar Davids Edgar Davids is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation. Davids was a formidable presence in the midfield position and was by far one of the most dynamic midfielders in the world. He was part of the Juventus side that won three Serie A titles between 1998 and 2003. Davids also won the Champions League title with Ajax in the 1994-95 season. However, in 2001, during his time at Juventus, he tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone. To that effect, he was given a four-month ban for doping but he also denied taking the drug. In response to the accusations, Davids said in a statement via The Guardian: "I have never taken any illegal substances in my life. "I never took nandrolone. I'm always against any type of doping and I have always been loyal to sport. I have never even thought of the possibility of using any kind of doping." 2. Pep Guardiola Before his meteoric rise to becoming one of the best coaches in world football, Pep Guardiola had a long career as an impressive midfielder. During his playing days, the 52-year-old Man City manager was an excellent midfielder who boasted great vision, ball control and an incredible reading of the game. However, in 2001, Guardiola reportedly failed a drug test and the banned substance nandrolene was identified as being in his blood stream. However, the former Spanish footballer did not go down without a fight as he battled the claim in a case that went on for a good six years. However, Guardiola managed to clear his name in 2007. Unfortunately, the allegations resurfaced the following year. But Guardiola, like he is known for on the pitch, managed to win the case and clear his name once more in 2009. 1. Diego Maradona Diego Maradona battled with drug abuse for most of his career as a footballer| Photo Credit: Imago Most football fans around the world must have certainly heard about Diego Maradona's history with drugs. To this day and age, Maradona is widely considered as arguably the greatest footballer of all time. However, his career has also been tainted by several off-the-field controversies and the legendary forward's drug problem. In 1991, during his Napoli stint, Maradona was given a 15-month ban after testing positive for cocaine. He was Argentina's main man at the 1994 World Cup and after scoring a goal against Greece, Matadors wheeled away into one of the most remarkable World Cup goal celebrations and definitely appeared to be on something. After the game, Maradona failed another drug test and was sent home. The goal against Greece turned out to be his final one for the Argentinian national team. Maradonaâs troubled off-field life also saw his time with Napoli end after he was banned for taking cocaine. In fact, from the mid-1980s until 2004, Maradona was addicted to cocaine. Diego Maradona posing in a Napoli shirt in 1987| Photo Credit: Imago He allegedly began using the drug in Barcelona in 1983. By the time he was playing for Napoli, he had a full-blown addiction, which interfered with his ability to play football. On 2 November 2020, Maradona was admitted to a hospital in La Plata, supposedly for psychological reasons. A representative of the ex-footballer said his condition was not serious. A day later, he underwent emergency brain surgery to treat a subdural hematoma. He was released on 12 November after successful surgery and was supervised by doctors as an outpatient. On 25 November, at the age of 60, Maradona suffered cardiac arrest and died in his sleep at his home in Dique LujĂĄn, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. https://voicesuit.com/paul-pogba-and-10-other-footballers-who-have-been-banned-for-doping/

Celebrities / Why I Made Priscilla Stop Acting - Iyabo Ojo by micheal34(m): 3:17pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is the mother of influencer and businesswoman Priscilla Ojo who actually started her career in the media as a child actress, before disappearing from the scene for a long time before her return. Now, during a new interview with The Album, Iyabo Ojo explains why she made Priscilla stop acting, as well as opened up about her journey in the industry and how she feels about Priscilla's success in media. Here's what Iyabo Ojo had to say. Speaking about how it was for her getting into the movie industry, Iyabo Ojo said: IYABO OJO: For me, I'm a very humble person and I was extremely very humble and respectful and in that industry, that was the first thing I knew. I knew how to play my cards and my games, and I knew that for you to get into the industry and make it really quick, you need to follow those who are already in the A-list. You need to mingle with the right group of people so that it will lead you faster, and for you to do that, you need to put your ego down. You need to be very respectful, very humble, very patient. So that made it very easy for me. If you allow social media, it will mess with you. You have to be very strong. You have to be someone who has very strong inner being. Speaking about how she feels about Priscilla being in the media, influencing, and doing well, Iyabo Ojo said: IYABO OJO: She is making money so it is less stress for me [laughs]. Whatever makes my children happy, and that is how I grew up also. I was allowed to do whatever I wanted to do and be who I want to be, and so I projected that also on my children. I love the fact that she's doing a whole lot of things that I'm doing. Speaking about why she made Priscilla who started out as a child actress stop acting, Iyabo Ojo said: IYABO OJO: When she was younger, she was acting and I stopped it for her. I stopped it because I wanted her to face her studies. When they were younger, I didn't give them that access to be on social media and I did that based on their level of education. When they were in secondary school, they were limited to things they could do on social media. Very limited. And I monitored everything they were doing while they were on social media and it's very important for all mothers to do that. TV/Movies / Lucy Reveals 4 Behind The Scenes Secrets From Big Brother by micheal34(m): 12:47pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
Big Brother Naija All Star housemate, Lucy, is opening up about her time on the Big Brother All Star season, as well as sharing some behind the scenes tea and stories about the franchise, her experience before and after the show, and more during a new interview with Pulse. Here's 4 things Lucy revealed during the interview. 1. It's Very Difficult to Mind Your Business in the House Speaking about this, Lucy said: LUCY: Staying out of people's business is so difficult because as you're passing, you're hearing things and you know that if you put mouth, it will explode. And you don't know who is beefing who and who is against who, who is with who, so you know, the gist no complete. So it's so difficult to mind your business because the gist is loud. They're not saying it and trying to whisper, you will pass and you will be hearing the complete gist. It is really difficult to mind your business in that house. 2. Production Once Had to Hide Knives During a Big Brother Season Speaking about this, Lucy said: LUCY: The madness for me was when I don't know who came out and said they had knives hidden during their parties - I think during "Level Up" or something. I was like "you say?" They said yes, they used to hide their knives. You mean you people were that violent against each other that they hid knives? We, on our season, never experienced that or maybe we never noticed. Omo knife! You would actually stab someone? Wow! 3. Her House Rent Was N280k/Yr When She Competed on Her First Season Speaking about this, Lucy said: LUCY: In the space of three years, you're a different person, like it or not. So [coming back to the show], I couldn't have been the person I was. Plus, I'm richer. I mean, richer than I was during Lockdown. When I entered that house, my rent was N280,000 a year. You don't want to know my rent now my brother! 4. The One Thing She'll Miss From The Show Is Big Brother's Voice Speaking about this, Lucy said: LUCY: One thing I will miss about Big Brother is Big Brother's voice. Like, it's soothing. Ah, that voice! Even if you were angry when you entered that diary room, once you just hear that voice, you will just forget everything. TV/Movies / Tolani Baj Talks Fight With Ilebaye, Cee C by micheal34(m): 5:28pm On Sep 05, 2023 |
Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate Tolani Baj is finally ready to talk. After avoiding doing interviews after the show, the controversial housemate has now taken to her own Youtube channel to talk about her experience on the show, why she didn't do interviews after the show, and her fight with Cee C and Ilebaye. Here's what Tolani Baj had to say. Speaking about why she decided to not grant any interviews after the show, Tolani Baj said: TOLANI BAJ: I decided to drop the video on my channel because I haven't granted any post-eviction interviews. I didn't feel the need to grant anybody access to me. I wanted to be selfish with my time. I did not want to wake up early for nobody. I did not want to put on makeup for one week straight. I'm also seeing a narrative out there that "Tolani baj is embarrassed, that's why she's not doing interviews". You wish! That thing is even smelly to my ears. It's really flattering that a lot of y'all are using Tolani Baj's name to chase clout. I have seen lies here and there. Ah ah. Just a lot of non-factors trying to hop on the 'hate TBaj train'. I don't like explaining myself. Maybe that always works against me, I don't know. Whatever narrative is out there, whatever you choose to believe, that's on you. I really don't care. Speaking about her experiencing on the show, Tolani Baj said: TOLANI BAJ: My experience on the show was amazing. I honestly had the best time ever compared to the Lockdown season. I just lived life really. Didn't really think of the outside really until I started getting tired in week 4. The housemates this season, I liked them a lot. I liked a lot of housemates. I just wish that production showed my relationship with all the other housemates. Like, if not even all, like majority. I was just neutral, like water, cool with everybody. When people wanted to do voluntary exit, was it not my shoulder they were crying on? I was the one even crying with them. Speaking about her fight with Cee C and Ilebaye, Tolani Baj said: TOLANI BAJ: At the time, how I handled those situations made a lot of sense to me. It made sense to me! If I could do things differently, rather than exploding, I would have a conversation with them. That is one thing I can say I would do differently. I have noticed that one of my toxic traits is bottling things up, and then it gets to a point that I say "Bleep it!" and just explode. I could say that was my fault - just exploding rather than having a conversation. I would have done that differently. Opening one's heart to love is a very scary thing, especially when one has opened their hearts before and been burned by the experience. Often, when people come out of relationships, especially marriages, saying yes again down the road becomes harder because of what the person experienced in the first marriage. When a person to says yes to marriage again after experiencing divorce, we as people are always curious to know why, and what about this new person made them say yes. Mercy Aigbe got divorced from her first husband, Lanre Gentry, in 2017 and four years later, got married to her current husband Kazim Adeoti. Now during a new interview with The Punch, Mercy Aigbe is opening up about 5 reasons she said yes to marrying Kazim. Here's what Mercy said. Speaking about why she loves her husband and said yes to marrying him, Mercy Aigbe revealed saying: MERCY AIGBE: 1. I like his smile and dark skin. 2. He is a very wise person, who communicates a lot. I believe that communication is key in relationship, because it helps understanding. I donât like people that donât talk. If you donât talk, I wouldnât know how you are feeling or what you want me to do. 3. I also like the fact that he is very understanding. Whenever he feels that he is wrong, he apologizes. He is not the typical Nigerian man, who has a big ego. He is not egoistic, though he is strict. I like the fact that he is strict, because I like people that have morals and values. I am very stubborn, and he is also stubborn. However, we respect each otherâs opinions, and we donât argue unnecessarily. Rather, we argue sensibly, and then we donât look down on each other. Whenever anyone of us makes a point, we both think about it, and figure out the best way to do things. Our relationship is built on mutual understanding and respect, and that has been helping us. He is actually a very understanding person, and he is not the bossy type. He is a good listener, and that makes him a good leader. Whenever I talk, he listens. He tries to reason with me, and we meet in the middle. 4. Also, he is a great dad, who loves children. He loves to make the people around him comfortable. He is selfless as well. To cap it up, he is a fine man. 5. Beyond all that, I like his person The two are so clearly in love and flaunt their love all over social media every chance that they get. It is good to see a person opening their heart up to love again after divorce, and thriving. Celebrities / 2 Reasons Why I Think Marriage Is Overrated - Zicsaloma by micheal34(m): 5:12pm On Sep 05, 2023 |
Nigerian actor, businessman, and skitmaker Zicsaloma is taking on a new role and that is the role of *drumroll*, podcaster. Zicsaloma is now the host of a podcast called "Tell Your Story" and during a new episode of the podcast, Zic gave his thoughts on why he believes marriage is overrated. The revelation happened after Zicsaloma read a story of a man whose wife begun mistreating him after he lost his job and the title of being breadwinner in his family. In reaction to this story, Zicsaloma shared his personal opinions on why he believes marriage is overrated and gave 2 reasons why he thinks so. Here is what Zicsaloma had to say about marriage. Speaking about the reasons why he believes marriage is overrated during the podcast, Zicsaloma spoke saying: ZICSALOMA: Personally, it's my opinion. I feel marriage is overrated. If you're not prepared for marriage, you don't need to rush into marriage. 1. I've seen it happen several times even with many of my friends and university coursemates where some men, once they get a job - like for instance, you just get a job, you've never earned before and you just get a job of N100k. The next thing is to get married. Do you know in that kind of situation, you may never be able to save. Because once you get married, you have a wife who might be dependent on you. Immediately you born pikin, you start paying school fees, you may never save. 2. As a single person, you can easily plan alone. One of my friends told me, and I quite agree with him, that sometimes even your family members should not know what you earn. Because if them know wetin you earn, they feel entitled to 80% of your salary, and the poverty cycle, it continues. But if you know what you're going for, you're investing, you have your savings. But once you marry, once your family members know your earning, you might never be able to save. So in summary, he thinks marriage is overrated because it doesn't allow a person opportunity to save and invest. What do you think about what Zicsaloma said and his reasons for why he believes marriage is overrated? Do you agree with him? Do you disagree? https://voicesuit.com/2-reasons-why-i-think-marriage-is-overrated-zicsaloma/

Celebrities / My Friend's Father Owns Big Brother Naija - Kiddwaya by micheal34(m): 10:18am On Sep 02, 2023 |
Big Brother Naija housemate and son of Nigerian businessman Terry Waya, Kiddwaya is speaking about his short time on the Big Brother All Stars tv show. During a new interview with Zikoko, the braggadocios housemate opened up about why he decided to come back to the show, if he had any strategy going in, and how he feels about being evicted so early. During the course of his talking, Kidd also opened up about how his friend's father owns Big Brother Naija and how that affected his decision to return to the house. Here's what Kiddwaya had to say. Speaking about why he came back on the Big Brother Naija show, how his friend's father owns the show, if he had any strategy, and how he feels to be out so early, Kiddwaya revealed saying: KIDDWAYA: This is the biggest platform in all of Africa, a platform that made me, a platform I'm very grateful for. A platform that my friend's dad owns. So when they come calling, I'm loyal. I'm happy to come and give a good show, and to make you know, everyone happy including myself. So I have that respect for the magnitude of the platform. It's huge. I had no strategy till we got the rule book during lockdown which changed my strategy because one of the things Big Brother said was that there would be no embargo on conspiracy which means you would be allowed to discuss nominations, and discuss pretty much anything. So once I saw that, I said "ha! omo na game we dey play oh, so make I run am". I didn't expect to be out this early but I feel good about it because there were times when I was getting bored and there were times when I felt like ah, this thing e don tey. But as I always say, God's time is the best timing and I've done this twice, and I have been lucky enough to be blessed twice by the show. So whether it's one week, sixteen weeks, two weeks, five weeks, I am happy, and I'm grateful. And now life starts, and we keep things moving. What do you think about what Kiddwaya had to say? And also, what do you think about Kiddwaya's short time in the house and how he played the game this season? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below. https://voicesuit.com/my-friends-father-owns-big-brother-naija-kiddwaya/

The Federal Government has said it is planning to decentralize the fire service emergency response system. This is to improve the response time to emergencies in the country. The Minister of Interior, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, who has been inspecting the facilities of various paramilitary organisations under his watch since Wednesday, said this to journalists in his office on Friday. He said the Federal Government was planning to have firefighting trucks stationed at every economic zone in the country. According to him, the plan when executed would help reduce billions of naira lost to fire disasters in the country. He said, âWe will do everything humanly possible to decentralise the emergency response system. I am happy to see the mobile trucks. If we have more in our economic zones, our markets as first responders, it will be good. It will be very disastrous if there is fire in the markets and there is no immediate response.â He also promised that the personnel of the Fire Federal Service would be adequately trained in how to handle modern equipment. Tunji-Ojo said, âThe responsibility of government is the protection of lives and property. This government is alive to its responsibility and we will provide you with firefighting appliances to do your job. âIn terms of capacity building, our training schools will no longer be dumping grounds. We will train and retrain our officers in modern techniques and equip them accordingly.â Speaking, the Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Jaji Abdulganiyu, said inadequate manpower and find had been the major challenges faced by his organisation. He said, âTalking about challenges, permit me also to acquaint you with some of them. They are inadequate manpower; attacks on firefighters; housing needs for personnel; firefighting infrastructural gaps; and budgetary constraints among others. âWeâre confident that you will use the might and influence of your good office to help resolve some if not all of our issues.â https://voicesuit.com/fg-plans-to-decentralise-firefighting-to-improve-response-time/ 3 Likes

Politics / Abacha Loot Is The Biggest Scam Of All Time âDO YOU AGREE? by micheal34(m): 11:18am On Sep 01, 2022 |
General Sani Abacha, was Nigeriaâs former Head of State between 1993 and 1998. Even though he is no more, General Sani Abacha has been humorously described as one of the ancestors of Nigeria who has been donating money generously to successive governments from the land of the dead as his loot was outrageous. Heâs a man of multiple impressions. To some people, he was an enigma. To others, he was humane. But to many, he was simply a mean dictator and the man who wore the thickest goggles in town. Yet, some quarters preferred him as a consummate soldier, leader par excellence, trailblazer, stabilizer and strategist. On December 31, 1983 when the army removed then President Shehu Shagari from power to give way for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Abacha announced the power takeover. He also co-announced the coming of the Babangida regime with Gen. Joshua Dogoyaro and it was in that regime that he served as the chief of the army staff. On November 17, 1993, Abacha took the reins of power after sacking the Shonekan interim administration where he served as Defence Minister. From that day to June 7, 1998, Abacha reigned supreme and maximally. Since he died, however, his name has continued to resonate for mostly the wrong reasons of corruption, fraud and financial embezzlement. Loot Many believe that his regime encouraged corruption by stashing away illicit funds in foreign bank accounts. One huge surprise about the saga, however, is that itâs been 22 years since Abacha passed on, yet government after government have continued to talk about Abacha loot. Though it may be difficult to place a hand on the figure stolen and hidden in many offshore accounts, Transparency International once said Abacha may have stolen up to $5bn between 1993 when he assumed office and 1998 when he died. Recoveries The recovered monies were principally stashed away in four major countries: Again in 2022, the United States (US) government has signed an agreement to repatriate $23 million looted by a former military head of state General Sani Abacha to Nigeria. But to be honest with you guys, I donât believe in all these Abacha loot stories any longer. Where is all the recovered loot? Where did the money go to. https://voicesuit.com/do-you-agree-abacha-loot-is-the-biggest-scam-of-all-time/
