Hello everyone, pls do I submit d Tb certificate with my passport at teleperformance office or sent to Sheffield, cos I already gave my spouse to submit with other document.

I don't know if the process has changed but I submitted in December and all documents (apart from my passport and application forms) were sent to Sheffield, unless it has changed. Call them up to enquire.

@Lasmab - Timeline below as requested

uote author=midmenconsult post=28795693]Updating the house as promised on my journey. I submitted my online application on the 3rd of December, and booked my interview at teleperformance, Churchgate2 at Victoria Island for the 10th of December. I got there in good time(with almost half an hour to spare) and was ushered into the ground floor lobby for initial documents checks. Straightaway problem number one was discovered which was the "FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT FORM APPENDIX 2". I was told I had to go and get it since the appointment could not hold without it. I quickly dashed out to about 2 streets away to an internet cafe where I printed 18 pages of the form at 50 naira a page and 150 naira for internet time. I then went back to Churchgate2, and found a shade where I sat on a tree stump and used a chair handed over to me by a kind orange seller as a makeshift desk(my wife would have cracked up silly if she saw me). I promptly filled up the form, and went straight back to teleperformance where I was finally asked to go to the first floor where teleperformance was. At the first floor, I was asked for my appointment letter(sent to your registered email address after online payment) which I provided, and was allowed in through the first set of security doors. Got into the first lobby and was ushered through the metal detector and asked to go to the receptionist to confirm my details. The receptionist took my application form, asked me a question from my printed out application formm(something about what my preferred address was) which I answered and then I was told...YOU HAVE AN INTERVIEW TODAY! Interesting since I wasn't expecting one but I had no issues with an Interview since everything was as it should be. Was ushered In through, yet again, another set of security doors which led me to the waiting lobby. I saw my name under "WAITING" so I sat tight. There are 6 booths and I was ushered into one of them. The gentleman was polite but asking some obvious profiling questions which struck me like he had received instructions. Oh well, I answered truthfully anyway! The documents collected from me at the VAC were
1. A copy of the online application form
2. My international passport
3. Sponsorship declation form from my wife
4. Financial requirements t form appendix 2
5. Photocopy of my international passport(whuch was returned back to me stapled to the document received acknowledgement form)

I had to post my other documents( which I thought was required) back to my wife in the UK I.e TB TEST, MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, ENGLISH TEST.
To cut the long story short, I did my biometric, had an interview which lasted about 10 minutes and was ushered out. So the waiting game begins and as promised Lexusgs430, I will provide updates to help future applicants know what is expected of them, and what to expect. God bless!

Hi Lasmab.I wrote to the HO before I left the UK explaining that I was leaving for Nigeria to reapply and also provided them wjth my flight date and itinerary. However, my cover letter to the ho clearly stated that I overstayed and I was very sorry I did(which I indeed was) because it was based on my circumstances at the time. Now one thing worth noting is my wife got pregnant(I will say luckily) the month before I left for Nigeria, so we included all evidence including maternity letters etc, I had an interview at the centre where I clearly stated that I will feel privileged to be at my wife's side during labour etc. So you see, no two cases are the same since I believe my case would've been more difficult if there were no HRA(human rights article 8 ) circumstances involved, and no compassionate grounds. I believe this is what made mine different(from a layman's viewpoint)t
Lasmab:

Congratulations my dear brother!
Please, there is a question I want to ask. Did you write a personal statement that explaining your reasons why you overstayed in UK while you put your application in? The reason why I am asking is that you didn't refused on Para 320 (11) despite that you're overstayed your VISA for 10yrs. Thank you

I want to appreciate @Lexusgs430 who first responded to my request for Information almost 3 months ago when I decided to come back to Nigeria to reapply for my spouse visa having been rejected an in-country application in the UK last year. I overstayed in the UK for almost 10 years and decided enough was enough...it was indeed the best decision I ever made. I also want to appreciate @justwise for managing and coordinating this forum. Well that's me done and I am going back to meet my madam after almost 3 months apart. I will still be a part of this forum to provide assistance to anyone going through something similar to what I went through. For those who are still waiting, anticipating I say" Never give up". Bless y'all!

All the supporting evidence from the spondor I, e payslips, bank statements, tenancy agreements, empoyer's letter etc have to be submitted in the UK. You only need your passport, 2 passport photos, print oit of your payment confirmation and appointment letter at the VAC. They will not take "ANYTHING ELSE" from you. I had to lost my marriage certificate, English language test certificate and the TB test(done here in Nigeria) back to my Wife in the UK for submission. I submitted mine in December and still waiting. I wish you best of luck.

justwise:

Please can people who submitted recently in Nigeria tell us documents they submitted and which one was sent to Shefield?

I know that one need to book an appointment after making payment.

Appreciate your response and pardon the ambiguity. My wife is the sponsor and I am the applicant. I have a solicitor here in the UK but she's not sure of the current processes at the VAC since she claims everything changes overnight without any prior warning. I have no problems getting all the copies of our supporting evidence and take them down to naija with me but my questions are
- Do i need to provide copies of all supporting evidence sent to sheffield at the VAC?
- Do I need to bring my English test certificate with me to Nigeria or does it get sent along with other supporting evidence to Sheffield from the UK?
- Is the original marriage certificate sent to sheffield along with other supporting evieence or is that required at the VAC in Nigeria.
I hope I come across as clear enough. Thanks

I will appreciate any information please!!!!

I would firstly like to say you guys have been very helpful with providing needed information to all so a very big well done. I need some clarification regarding my issue from anyone that can help. I will be applying for a UK spouse visa from Nigeria in 2 weeks time(still in the UK intending to leave for Naija in a few days). I understand Teleperformance have taken over from VFS and now handle UK visa applications. My question is regarding Supporting documents i.e Photocopy of all documents which will be submitted from the UK to Sheffield, and the issue of my English Language test. Do I need to bring these documents I.e proof of English and photocopy of all original documents (being submitted in the UK) to my interview at teleperformance?
