I returned the passport to TLS and I was called the following by the British embassy that it is not an issue that the name was too long.

Just as I guessed ! So I went back to pick the passport 2days after, no changes . We are over a month in UK now.

I'm about to request for Medium of Instruction letter from my University so I can submit to ECCTIS. Pls can the MOI letter be addressed to "To whom it may concern" (will it be acceptable by ECCTIS if not addressed to them directly?) so that I can probably use it again in the future if need be. I saw sample of the letter on ECCTIS website and it was To whom it may concern, but I noticed that was posted 7years ago. Pls has anyone done this before or recently?

Another observation on another son of mine visa vignette o.... Letter "L" was omitted in one of his names "DANIEL"... They wrote DANIE.

I sensed "cut-off" due to the long length of his fullnames I.e surname(8 letters), first name (13 letters), two-compound middle names (13 letters).

I hope this won't cause any issue at airports or port of entry?

Yeah... they said my sons passport has bn sent to UKVI ystrday morning. They advised me to do a follow up paid mail if it is urgent... i av done that alreay

Uk gov website says contact ur VAC immediately for mistakes on vignette which i have done already but my concern is i dont knw how soon they will respond and there is no way to track the application... Meanwhile ticket has bn booked

Ok... what is UKVI email to complain about this? Is it gonna be free or paid? Though the TLS guy said no need to contact UKVI online after resubmitting the passport along with the complaint form.

To be honest...there is no standard SLA for this kinda issue.... worst part is no tracker.....
Sometimes they will even correct it ..return it to TLS and forget to send u email...so u have to be on their neck with email ..politely begging them or be going to TLS to check...cos those pple have small craze...

EXACTLY!!! You gt my point. They wont allow him in at the point of entry coz his entry date is in 5yrd time.Anyway i have returned the passport to VAC and filled the complaint form. My question is how soon will it take UKVI/VAC to correct the error and return the passport as we av already booked ticket.

Vignette also has entry/start date and expiry date.....Be like u no see say the boy entry date na 2028.....

Not certain they will let him through at border control.. they wont care its a mistake from UKVI....

U didnt get it .... we are family of 6, all of us has valid entry date 02/06/23 except him that has 17/6/28..... and we are all suppose to travel as family next month
