Very true.
The 'Lagos Blueprint' will not work at the national level.

Lol did it work at state level..

As at 2019, Lagos ought to have had 7th mainland bridge. We are still struggling with the 4th

This is totally not correct. What part of Canada are you? In my province, people have 2-4 jobs and reject shifts at will. You may be out of job if you are in places like Ontario, BC etc. Na you dey find big man area to settle in. Strategize before leaving Nigeria, I will recommend you go for hard to find skilled jobs like healthcare etc and go to a province where they need people. Na you go tire for work

What province is that please?

Politics / Re: Sanwo-Olu: We Have Cleared All Pension Backlog In Lagos by miketayo(m): 2:21pm On Jul 05
ObiPandora:
I hope you read where your Igbo governor Alex Otti can't even pay worker's minimum wage talk more of pensioners.

I can bet Abia n Anambra are owing over 10 years pension as at July 5. That should be the achievement you should be celebrating.

First of all, I am a Lagosian (Epe). You only think this is an achievement because other Governors are awful.
Pension should not be owed by any state or Federal Govt. When you are used to suffering 1k would seem like a million.
It is still not worth celebrating.

This shouldn't be news, but other gov are just terrible. Pension is an entitlement.

Lagos city is different from lagos state.
Ikeja the capital of lagos state used to be a serene town 32km away from lagos city. Lagos city has shaa metamophorsed to a megacity.

I hope you aren't referring to Lagos island?

Even as far back as then Symbian was a capable OS and did basically almost what early version of android did. Symbian those days can minimize/maximize tasks, multi task. It has sophisticated UI/UX, games/apps similar to recent smart phones. I remember far back, Bolt browser on Symbian has "web/desktop view" browsing just like recent Android Chrome.
In fact Symbian was forerunner for smart phones.

If only they advanced the development of Symbian OS, they had that advantage but they didn't utilize it.
IOS, android were not like this 15 years ago, they also started small and advanced into the much sophisticated OS they're today.
Nokia really fall my hand personally. Normally na Nokia get phone market, they just messed their chance and advantage.

The only company that could have competed was Microsoft, but they came in late.. blackberry RIM had the market at one point, just as symbian started dying, but it didn't last.
Symbian was built on C++, there are way more Java programmers than C++
Google and Apple are just too big for those smaller companies.
I still got the nokia android phone which wasn't so bad.

They used to own the phone industry but they messed things up. From switching to windows OS and android.

Symbian phones used to be our smart phone those days, way before Android came.
All they needed to do was to advance their Symbian OS.

There was no way symbian would have competed with Google android and Apple IOS. They realized late, and signed with Microsoft. But the later already won people's heart.
Lumia wasn't a bad OS in my opinion, it just came in too late.

Tecno is even good in android than Nokia... I bought Nokia1 an android phone, I didn't use that phone for up to 6months before phone started with charging port issues from there screen going blank and I returned it...

But tecno F1 I bought after it, I used it for complete 3years before throwing the phone away...

Nokia is good in doing Java phones not android at all... When it comes to Java phones, I will choose Nokia over tecno

Android is built with Java

Nokia Is a substandard phone. Crazy how the mighty has fallen. Now under the ownership of HMD global, a Chinese company with plans to launch its eponymous brand. I literally used nokia 2.3 years back. I bought it upon launch@slot because I thought nokia was the brand of old. Few months upon usage, multiple charging port issues. One day, the phone turned off, and never came on. Cause of death: panel issues. I conflicted with hardware and software issues during my time with nokia. Who are they trying to deceive with their nonsense flashbacks? Never again.

You weren't lucky, my nokia 6.1 plus (x6) that I got since 2018 is still working today. I only use it to play COD

A riffraff telling me to keep quiet? Only on Nairaland lol. So what's spectacular about the IT profession that it cannot be regulated, taxed, and brought under government's purview for inclusive governance and strategic pursuits? Don't they have a register that captures IT professionals in places like the UK, Europe for administrative and national security purposes? How do you prosecute hacking/cyber criminality if you don't have even have the particulars of computer professionals in the country? Can you use your akpu brain for once, Mr. ip0b?

You are just a thief, what is regulated is data privacy and security.

So they should leave the sector unregulated, untaxable and not harmonize it with the larger picture of development? Ip0bs sha

What is the sense in what you wrote?
What exactly are they regulating.. I have attended CPN conference in Abuja, it's a complete waste of time.
What larger picture of development, in IT you either know it or you don't.

Fashola was suppose to turn all the federal roads in Lagos to that of Dubai in 8 years

Fashola built the Oshodi Apapa expressway

Lagos Ibadan expressway

Lagos sagamu expressway(about 90% completed before he left).

Stop with that Dubai comparison.. they could do it in 2 years if they wanted to.
