On balance, the answer is yes and that makes the signing a positive step. Welbeck has greater athleticism, but his end product and fitness are not as reliable. Lacazette looks a hard-worker though the fact he has never lived abroad before might cause acclimatisation problems, even at 26.

Overall, this transfer feels closer to very good addition than a transformational, 'last piece of the jigsaw' purchase. Whether that constitutes success for a £52m striker will be fiercely debated, though the sums involved in the modern market are bordering on meaningless. The point is Chelsea would likely become more predictable with such midfield and makes it easy for the opponents. Opponent would only need to mark the wing, Hazard and Kante runs and Chelsea is a goner..

Increase in pay( he deserves it for all he does), he likewise want very good players who would give their all for 90+mins like he does... I'm sure he will stay with that

If I want to be a ruthless manager, iwobi Walcott giroud,perez,Gibbs,and Ramsey(ozil though weak but very inteligent, carzola, old and no much physical fitness but also inteligent) are too comfortable, give little or zero passion far below Sanchez.. Should rather up their intensity or leave.

Only bellerin, kos,oxlade,welbeck,(Montreal, though not good enough but still works v.hard on pitch) shows good fighting and winner mentality on the pitch..

If all those suggested players to replace Alexis comes, their efforts will be wasted by the lot weak average boys in the squad,whereas you will see how high Sanchez will fly in the midst of ambitious players.

I say do all to keep him. Leicester and Chelsea didn't win league with the biggest names,rather with highly energetic, motivated and powerful players who gave their all week in week out for 90+mins.
