Obinoscopy: Elective Courses are not mandatory. However, you can take them to boost your transcript and ameliorate your CGPA. Additionally, you need to be very selective and/or be careful when choosing the Course because such Course can make or mar your performance/CGPA in the long run. |

kevoh: It's not mandatory. If you know you can't make it to the convocation, due to some logistic reasons. The penalty/retribution is, after the convocation, you'll have to go and obtain your certificate at the headquarters. You're required to go to the headquarters with a duly completed and authenticated clearance form issued at your Study Centre. All the best! |

Seeing that you have already amassed the 45 credit units (project inclusive) required for the programme, presumably no carry-over, you'll feasibly see your name on the Grad List (New). Reason: Last semester's result has been compiled, but the result will be out on your portal by February or early March |
